Nothing against Dan. All these tutorials are just brand adverts. Some of us remember carping before all the bells and whistles. Hair rig will always be the biggest game changer.

Would you this rig for a wafter or bottom bait presentation?

No bottom bait defeats the purpose of ronnie rig its design mechanics rather is for a pop up as for wafter I'd rig it up first check in margins it might not hold the hook up in prime position so check it hope this helps

It’s designed for pop ups to pop up the bait off the pond floor. No good putting a boillie on it

What’s the point of having a slip d hook rig when the pop up will push to the top of the hook and d, once its cast into the water it’s hardly going to move from the highest position due to the bouncy of the pop up.

it aids separation when a carp is trying to eject the rig. This can also help reduce hook pulls.

Its meant to be harder for the fish to spit it out

‘SLIP’ d? Can’t see it myself over complicating what is meant to be a quick and efficient rig

8:31 what the hell has happened to the non slip knot! braid must be crap, it has closed right to the swivel.

Its a rig he had already tied earlier with a smaller knot.

Bluepeter moment - that version had been tied with a blood/grinner knot!
