Recurring Dreams: What Are They Trying to Tell You?

- For the last several months I’ve had the same recurring dream. I thought it would be interesting to see how people from three different fields would interpret the same dream.
So I spoke with Dr. Albert Ramos, who is a Professor of Clinical Neurology Sleep Medicine at the University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. I also talked with Marcus West, a psychoanalyst with a specialization in Jungian therapy. And with Athena Laz, who is a Spiritual Dream Teacher, Depth Psychologist, and 4th gen intuitive.
I was curious how each of these people understand dreams given their background. So...which one is right?

There is one more authority you can ask: the dream itself. Next time you realize you are going through that dream again, just ask any dream character what the dream is trying to tell you.
I always dream that i just got out of school and I cant find my car in the parking lot and I have to find a way home. I usually end up walking and hitchhiking and meeting other people who try to help me but I never actually make it home. I always get sidetracked by the people i meet. While im interacting with them im always panicking in the back of my mind about the need to get home. Haven’t made it home yet.
I’m starting to think I don’t have dreams…. I have visions!
I think I agree that it is difficult if not impossible to find a pedagogy for dream interpretation.

I'm having a recurring dream of a spider falling from the ceiling I actually feel like I woke up and see this spider 🕷️ little bigger then that one it's on the right side twice and one from the left side I'm worried
HAHAHA yeah all three agreed: We have no clue. But let me babble some nonsense that you already could have guessed. And I'm saying that as a person that actually has a small amount of useless ESP.

I’ve been having a dream about a girl in high school just trying to fit in. Kinda in a Netflix movie style lol She gets bullied by both guys and girls, but has a few friends. I guess there’s been girls missing around town. There’s this creep that keeps stalking her and sending her letters. Some times I’m her friend in the background whenever she feels uneasy she’ll talk to me and find comfort. I think I’m like a camera that’s catching each scene because sometimes I hear as if I’m replying to her, but it’s not me speaking. It varies from her chick friend and her love interest. Anyways the days are going by and we’ve been trying figure out who the creep is and I guess in this particular time she was chased and she tried to talk about it in school but everyone was talking shit. Then we’re pulled to an assembly where this projector plays the wrong film. It’s the creep showing himself talking about about how he always knows where she’s going and where she is. He even pulls up pictures of her walking to class that same day. Then he explains how close he has been to kidnapping her, that some friends of hers are actually helping him. The crazy part is him showing his face the whole time the video is playing. Everyone in the assembly is in shock and mentioned how he showed his face. Then it cuts to him saying he’s been the one taking the other girls In the city. Shows pictures of her close friend that’s been missing and the other girls he’s taken then starts laughing saying he’s going to get her next. The pictures are graphic and I know it’s on a Jeffery dahmer level but I alway look away from the projector the moment they show up lolI I think the teachers finally stops the video and everyone is just staring at the girl. I start talking to her saying it’s going to be ok. So this is part of a dream that was reoccurring. There are other small instances where there’s a girl that hates her sitting next to her at the assembly. Also at the beginning of the dream I’m seeing the creep looking at her from a distance, kinda like an intro to a series show. Anyways I know there’s more, some group of guys attack the school trying to take that girl to the creep for some money and the whole school is going into panic. I pull that girl to a safe spot and we hide for a while. I think they had weapons but it’s all vague because that’s the first time I had dreamt about it. It’s like a long build up to that part of the dream, but it’s been so long since I saw it play out I don’t really remember how it happens, but I do see those guys talking and planning that day. Again just like a camera in a show zoomed in on them talking. What does this dream mean? I got no idea. I know it’s inspired by some stuff. Life is strange the video game and I’m assuming any generic Netflix show lol nothing I can think of at the moment in particular it stems off by but there’s plenty of shows that chase the same premise. Can someone elaborate because for me it’s my dream telling me not to fall asleep while a show is playing in the background 😂
