Thanks Kenny for the kind words and the shout out. The birds are definitely picking the side of your home with reduced human activity. I have been looking online for a giant mesh dome that fits over my entire property, but no luck so far. And Elon Musk will not email me back. Have a nice trip!
My sister in law used to have the undercarriage pressure washed, she went through a few sets of driveshaft u-joints before i discovered the grease was being washed out of the bearings. Those birds are really smart and determined. I put the cheap plastic spikes above my security door to prevent the swallows from nesting, my neighbors have front porches full of bird crap, but not me.😁The Thai birds must be made of different stuff than the California birds. If you get tired of fighting with them, possibly put some birdhouses around the property and maybe they will keep away from your home.
I will talk to my guy about making sure he isn't pressure washing the u-joints....just in case. I will get the birds figured out eventually. Couple good ideas coming up in the comments. I'm guessing I have more willpower than the birds do!
The story with bamboo is "first year it sleeps, second year it creeps, third year it leaps". Once it gets going it gets very dense and the roots are incrediblystrong, so be careful planting too close to your concrete walls. Also, just be aware that it drops a lot of leaves and the mulch ends up being a snake haven.😊
Someone also suggested that, and I have no idea if they work. I have heard of them but no experience with them. I tried rubber snakes in SC but didn't make a difference after about two days they figured it out.
@ParadiseNThailand I've not used them myself, but i guess you can only give it a go . Hope it works out for ya . Oh yeah , the house looks amazing, mate 👌
Have a look for bird repellent silicone, it's a really sticky goo that comes in a tube, same as silicone and birds HATE it. It sticks to their feet, can get in their feathers and it's almost impossible for them to remove it. Just squeeze some on any edges they sit/stand on.
How to pronounce Pattaya seems to be an endless source of confusion. This video is pretty good because it's clear, isolated and repeating. ua-cam.com/video/PnNdeFjUJ0w/v-deo.html. The beach part (haat) you don't need but listen close the word. It's PAT---TA---YAAA. All those A's are same vowel sound (not "pat" like bat but like "pot") and the rhythm matters too. The final YAAA is actually a long A and that's not just a custom or something, that's literally the vowel sound. The first two are short and explosive (note TA sounds like when Americans say "ta-da" as in a magic trick). Everyone knows Pattaya so you can mess this up and people still understand but with other words if you get this detail wrong it gets hard to understand you.
@@ParadiseNThailand maybe a region accent? I can't understand those cambodian Thai's either but I live in the north. Struggle to understand them too. 😂
There's only one way to pronounce Pattaya... Just ask your wife or mother in law. It's definitely NOT the way you've been pronouncing it.. Also enjoy all of your videos... Keep them coming....
I heard it on Google, but when I say it that way (Pa Ta Ya), she corrected me saying I was pronouncing it correctly before, and she clarified it by saying it the way I do. Someone suggested it might be that Thai/Cambo mix that she is telling me....... I don't know. All I know is I have to live with her so it will be "pa tie ya" and I will just stop saying it in my videos.

Good luck with that, I'm still waiting on Elon to get me some good internet service.

Your soil has more beneficial minerals than any fertiliser you put down. You can see in the natural growing grass how green it is.
You may be right, but having hauled it all in from "i don't know where", I had no idea how good it was.

OK, I will keep this in mind. did tell her not to get it too close to the fence wall.
When you plan your trees the birds will go to the trees, now they have nowhere other than your house to make a nest.
Trees have been ordered, and better bird spikes are on the todo list.
I foresee future bird wars keeping you busy. 😂
Challenge accepted!
Thanks for the video. Enjoy your day, and have a safe trip.
Thanks Steven
When you get back from Pattaya you will find a birds next on top of you're TV...haha
Lol, I hope not. I put it in the house!
Like to give a suggestion try a plastic predator bird for the root
I saw those on Lazada, but not sure if they work. No experiance with them.
Those birds are some resilient little guys.
Not my first Bird War, but hopefully my last!
Re the birds. Rig up a miniature electric fence around said fittings
That was my plan for the peeing dogs, had I needed to get serious. I have a new plan for those birds, but it will be after our getaway.
Try getting them fake owl's apparently they work , just put on top of the air-conditioning unit . Little birds will stay way ...

Never heard of it, but it sounds like a good idea to me. I will look on Lazada. Thanks
Oh man! That sounds awesome!
kenny do you have soapless brilo pads they are wire mess and good for mice holes keep mice out of pipe holes
I used Stainless Steel pads one the floor drains in the pumphouse, but I think they might be too small for the shingles

I'm even more confused, not with your comment, but with my wife. You will see in the next video.

kenny would moth balls help they keep snakes away if you can get them there
Someone suggested those. I don't like the smell but if needed, I will try them.
