I wish the F-104S and ASA weren't fighting the F-16 and F-15 😭. I really wanna enjoy them.
Real. Been grinding my third air tree (Italy) and have done about 80 battles or so in the ASA now and as much as I want to like that plane, it is absolute misery to play in the current high-tier air rb environment 😢
Just a miracle to make this plane good, or a lot of bias as seen in 9.3
I mean, Italy was going to fight SU-27's with the Salsa.
I main the F-104S.ASA. You just kinda get used to it. I'm more scared of Mirages actually, their Magic 2s are a pain. I've got about 500 battles with it, my K/D hangs around 1.2-1.3. I think it's a lot of fun, but it's definitely not for everyone.

It would be cool to see gaijin beta test ECM on the F104S ASA, considering it doesn't have an RWR in the traditional way, but an ECM suite that was meant to spoof/jam the missile.
As an ASA main, words cannot describe how much I want this.
ECM doesn’t work that way, it sends out fake radar returns, that makes it impossible to tell the distance of the aircraft, therefore they have no impact on missile. Only on the radar but, as the distance get closer they simply can burn through. Also it would jam allied radars 😂
@@RPrubber The point is that the only for mm of RWR it gets is just a warning you are being locked/launched at, but with no direction as to where. The ECM features were meant to instead fight the missile for the pilot.

If you're looking for suggestions the LA 200 is extremely underrated. That frontal downward pointed engine seems to punch the aircrafts nose up in lowish speed dogfights so it turns way better than what you'd expect for such a fat looking plane and it rolls great for a rank 5 russian jet and the all 37mm armament is weird but satisfying when they hit probably one of my favourite planes in the game period.

The F-104G was the first F-104 I unlocked and once you learn to fly the plane effectively, it holds its reputation as one of the most potent 104s, even one of the best fighters in the br if you fly support.
this is the perfect example of what a true "support plane" is. Not a garbage plane which physically cannot get kills on someone who isn't distracted. A plane that does just one thing REALLY well and nullifies the enemy's advantages over your team, even if it's the only thing the aircraft does.
you should give the F104J some attention, it is a F104G with no flares and 2 extra missiles

That was honestly such a good explanation of IAS. I usually just use speed and have memorized optimal merge speeds at 15k feet all the way down to the deck for jets that I fly a lot. But if IAS works that way, I can just get my IAS speed to my ideal deck merge speed and that makes things so much easier when I’m trying to decide what fight to pull someone into.
I really hope the F-104C got its missile upgrade to at least carry 4 x 9Bs

@@brodykloster2102 so make it go up in BR. Hell one of the user skins for the F-104C is the paint scheme of the F-104 that was the test bed for the forward missile pylons.
Seeing the F104 with iron crosses on it’s wings is something I don’t see often. I’m just so used to the American version.

you should try out the Mirage 2000C-S4/5 again! Honestly I've been sealclubbing pretty much every game I'm in with the flight performance. Also the R530Ds go Mach 5 if you give them time, so for a risky playstyle you climb off to the right to 5km, outflank the opposing team while chucking a couple of 530Ds at people 25km away, then turn in and massacre. Very risky but very rewarding
F 104 can pull super hard at one turn at around above mach
I'd love to see you play the Scimitar! IMO the jet with one of the highest skill ceilings in the game. Nigh-on unbeatable; but only if you can aim the guns with THAT rudder...

Back when this thing was 10.3 it was an absolute monster. I'm rocking a 5.3 K/D and 72% WR in the German 104G lol.

Hey Seek, I think a neat video idea could be a "Line Guide" or something like that. Take a popular aircraft or highly requested one, then go down the research line discussing tactics and strategy for each aircraft a player would need to unlock in order to reach the top tier aircraft. Or maybe to save time you could start the line from rank 3 or something.
Edit: another video idea I had (but I'm too lazy to make content plus I uninstalled WT LOL) was like a themed video. The first one I had was a video comparing the French Bearcat, Corsair and Skyraider (or whatever it is I forgor) because they're all at a similar BR with similar RP and SL gain and similar weapons (ignoring suspended armament). Another video in a similar vein to this would be maybe comparing the Fw 190 to the Bf 109 or popular Mig prop fighters compared to Yak prop fighters.
You should make a video on the la-200. The twin engines on that heavy interceptor makes the acceleration on par with a mig 15
there's a fun troll strategy: get attacker me410 or bf110, climb at 10-15 degrees and force headons with enemy fighters who are still climbing
5:40 the sad truth is a full base kill is worth as much SL/RP as 2+kills and its way easier to bomb a base than it is to get more than 2 kills in a match. I dont support it, but I understand why it happens...
if you're looking for ideas on what to do while you wait for fox3's, i recently have been revisiting jets between 7.3-8.7 like the f9f cougar and the mig-15, the mig 9, things like that and in a lot of ways its been fun getting the feeling of more old style war thunder air rb and finding less missiles
dogfights happen more and furballs are easier to manage
I suggest the F4J for future analysis

No one's really talked much about the Saggitario II after its BR nerf? Getting moved to 9.3, the same BR as its big brother Ariete despite being just straight-up worse and now prone to even more uptiers due to being unable to see all the old 8.3's should be "interesting".
You should play the German tornado with the anti ship missiles, they're comedic in RB and a novelty in sim
And also the only other ARH missile in the game for now next to the Phoenix. Good prep for fox 3s

One of my favorites but it’s one those planes that can’t be too low because of SRAAMS but is still a Hunter and fighting F-5Cs isn’t fun 😂 not to mention it doesn’t have countermeasures to fight off Su-25s and A-10s

Seek you should play the hunter series of planes. Especially the f6. It sucks so badly it's almost fun to get a kill.

@@SeekerHead 4 months is quite some time in my eyes 😅no? allow me then to replace that suggestion with the Yak-38M or the Alpha Jet A... or even the Viggen. Tornado F.3 still the one I'm looking forward to the most, I plan on spading mine soon and would enjoy some tips on flying it.
play the kfir c.7, but go to 9k meters and go mach 2 and sling phyton 3s from 6 km away and outrun radar missiles pls. I can usually get 3 or 4 kills like this

it could also just be a video about doing BVR in general as guide before FOX 3s come out so more people will know how to properly use them effectively but the F15 is a good plane to learn and do BVR on so I would play that as the example
I believe “if you do it right” is supposed to say “if the flanker is a moron”. There’s no 2 ways about it, ERs are far superior and you’re at the mercy of the Su27s incompetency, not your skill.
@@SeekerHead I would still say there are ways to play around your strengths with sparrows to make them work better against flankers and yes the 27ER is a better radar missiles but that doesn't mean you can't challenge and win against them still

If you are interested, I suggest you revisit the A-5C, especially now that the Magics have been buffed. It's imo the most broken premium in relation to its BR and many people don't realize how good of a dogfighter it actually is: it has basically infinite energy and rates surprisingly well around 600 kph.
