This is an excellent video thank you. I would add 1 piece of advice to everyone, after the 2nd or 3rd rinse fill the cartridge up and drill a hole in the top the same size as the rubber plugs from the Chinese carts, assuming you have those. Then you always have a way to fill the carts up, even if you accidentally collapse the bag by running it to empty. KEY NOTE: the cart has to be full of water or ink before drilling it or you will damage the bag inside and ruin the cart
Right on time I just converted my printer last weekend and the after market carts leak and backfill found this method but no videos on it on how to do it . Thanks bro!

your film may not be flat while the printers printing. Also depending on how much and where the ink build up is, a shoe shine will not be able to resolve the issue.
I would imagine any of the OEM carts would work, I did it with the "initial" carts that came with the printer for first setup. They still held the same 15 ml as the rest. If you did end up using the XL please let me know if by any chance they hold more than 15ml
Hi so I am thinking of ordering this printer I’m stuck between 8500 8550 and this one but I see that this one has many reviews and less issues . So I can go straight in with the cartridges out of the box? I do need to install chinless firmware first correct . Also do I keep refilling these cartridges here? Or Do I get the ciss tank also?
That was my question. I'm sure some water was left over since you can't take enough out to collapse the bag. Was wondering if it watered the ink down also
Pump air into the little hole right next to screen where you fill the ink. 2. I use a 60ml syringe and pull a pull some air out the cart then pump water in.
Yes, you should still use chipless firmware. Without it you will need to keep buying replacement oem cartridge and chips when the printer reads the cartridge as empty, it will not let you continue printing until you do. The chipless firmware makes its so the printer always reads the cartridges as being full.
@@HangryMuscle I guess this is the part I’m confused on because if you’re using a continuous Ink system when your cartridge always be full and never run empty? Do I still have to remove my chips from OEM carts working with the CISS?
