COLETTE?! why must you be so perfect and flawless and graceful and SELF-LESS. she handles herself with such class even though this is breaking her heart. OMGGG! WTH DEAN?! how could you just let colette go so easily?! he didn't even put up a fight! WTH?!
Heartbreaking, but I think Colette did the right thing. And Kate, what a good friend! I'm glad she said something to Bridget - it seemed like Bridget thought she could just show up and have Dean back.
Dean, why!!!!! Poor Colette having her heart broken again and silly boy he and Colette are made for each other. I hope Bridget is not back for good, turning up expecting things to be exactly the same, but could Colette trust Dean if he and Bridget don't work out? This show can't be cancelled it's so good.
@Thepinkgirl8759 i don't know anyone who says that bridget and him are meant to be?! I'm pretty sure majority of the fan base of this show really root for colette and dean, and i genuinely believe they do have something real. bridget can't just leave and come back and expect everything to be the same. even tho its not really her fault, all of who she is and her life with dean really was a lie. i don't think they're meant to be at all.
After seeing how fiercely Dean had been pursuing Bridget from the first episode, it was obvious his feelings for her ran deep. He'll never get over the baggage enough to try anything with Colette without any lingering longing for Bridget, who by the way, had an option to come inside in the first episode. From what I gather, Dean's thing for Colette started off as a casual friendship, but she inevitably filled a vacuum that Bridget vacated. I know from experience that's what happens when you want someone, she's not there, but someone else comes along. You give them a chance until your real love returns. Bridget could have come back sooner. But Dean was trying too hard to say he's got his feelings in control, putting up a bold front, but inside, he was chilled to the bone consumed to try and get Bridget alone. And he hid that from Collette.
@jacobandjess cont' lol ... I think it was Dean who tipped the scales, ie the relationship, into swing. He was the one who picked her up to go flying and then refused to let her run away from him in the barn. He probably wasn't worried about Bridget returning, and even though Colette was, how could she resist him after his declaration in the barn?!
@a8avexp See I don't think she pursued him. She was into him, yes, but content to keep in their relationship in flirty limbo, so to speak. I think the kiss in Haiti was more of a thank you (for saving the girl) than her actually trying to start something. But he probably saw it as the opening he'd been waiting for (she shut him out a few times, when they are leaving Berlin comes to mind) ...
@LetYourLiteShine17 Yes I hope so, but If you have read the press release for episode 12, we see that Dean pines for Colette but she says that she's moving to the 'hong kong' hub and there she meets a mysterious guy who wants her to show him the city...you know what direction thats heading in! I know other people are like yh Bridgete was meant to be, but I still believe Dean and Colette are better I guess...
@a8avexp colette didn't pursue dean. she was just being a good friend to him and ended up liking him more then she expected. you can't help who you fall for. but colette definitely didn't pursue the relationship. if anything that was dean who kept assuring her he wanted to start over and have something "real" with colette and that he was over bridget. essentially he just led colette on when he wasn't ready. colette did nothing wrong here. she's just the girl that fell for the guy.
@a8avexp i don't think so. i think he was growing genuine feelings for her. i think she just surprised him by reciprocating those feelings. if he had just thought of her as a friend, he wouldn't have pursued a more serious relationship.
Colette realizes Dean still has emotional baggage as much as he insists he hasn't. The last think you want to bring into a relationship is emotional baggage. It still begs to be asked: why did Colette even pursue Dean in the first place when she knew all about him and Bridget? She's been sitting on pins and needles ever since things started to get serious between them, knowing that Bridget could reappear at any time. Well, her worst fears have been realized.
Getting back to the Haiti episode, I agree that it was probably intended to be a thank-you kiss instead of an I-love-you kiss. If so, a peck on the cheek would have sufficed. This was a sensuous kiss on the lips which could easily be misinterpreted. Dean must have gotten the impression that Colette's feelings for him were far stronger than he thought. I would have enjoyed a continuation of the good-natured flirting that had been going on. Up until The Kiss, Dean saw Colette as a good friend.

I love how Colette looks like she's about to lose her resolve as soon as Dean touches her.

Why Dean!!!! I just really hope he realises what he's done and gets Colette to realise how much they love each other!

@livexthexlife192 Yeah I totally agree with what you say, what they have is real and now Dean needs to realise that :p
Too bad Bridget didn't take Kate's advise.
Ahhh! Bridget ruins everything seriously make your mind up lady!!!!
whyyyyyyyyyy????
