Poor Colette, Dean should have alerted his parents of the breakup between him and Bridgette, perhaps all this talking about her would make her more hesitant towards being with Dean in the long term perhaps?
This scene raises a few red flags. Dean's relationship with his father appears to be strained. He doesn't tell his parents about Pan Am, doesn't tell them about his breakup with Bridget, never mentions Colette, etc. He doesn't seem to be the open book type.
His father would have been one of the militaristic types common up until the 50s (think like Mr. Perry in Dead Poets' Society). They don't make you feel too comfortable, especially if a milimeter of light appears between their expectation and reality. But on the other hand, he's right about Bridgette, even I was going how could Dean just move on from Bridgette so casually after being so vested in her? I mean, I been there before, and it's almost darn impossible to let another girl get your heart.
I love this scene when he tells her his feeling for her yay and in the new episode that Bridget comes I hope they stay 2gether but still I love dean and Colette 2gether
You can definitely blame Dean's father, but he's right on a number of things. One, how is it that Dean could be so cavalier not to be in touch with his parents about what he's up to? And two, how could he just move on from Bridgette, whom he never even bothered to introduce to his parents, only to spring up another girl? And speaking of the latter, literally how could he? I know what it's like when you are stone in love the way Dean was into Bridgette, the girl has such a strong hold on your heart, nobody could even touch it.
Hehe I love the way when he is making a point he uses his finger :P

Poor Colette. Talk about being blindsided. You can't blame her for being upset. At least now we know how Dean truly feels about her.
OMG je les adore, magique cette scène ...
Come on Dad-no one says "expecting" anymore. Just ask her if she knocked up.

His father is a prick of whom you cannot share things precious to you as he will ridicule and stomp all over your heart

Can anyone tell me if there is a clip of Colette singing in French, I don't remember what the scene was but she was singing a nation anthem I believe.
The episode is called Ich bin ein Berliner. And it was the national anthem of Germany. :( poor Colette.
