Even as "easy" of a job this may be, it's great to have a DIY video for those who have never changed a motorcycle battery before! Great video!! Keep it real.
My original factory battery only lasted 30 months. Don't wrench on the positive battery terminal until you've disconnected the ground cable first ... unless you like your "hot" wrench banging against the frame and popping fuses!
Got the 2020 model Speed Twin. After each winter it had troubles starting, but a recharge got it working again in 2021, 2022 and a couple of weeks ago. Last years I managed to use it the entire season without voltage drops. This time it quickly loses voltage, i guess i'll have to replace it soon.
Thanks for the video man, I'm having the same issues and was checking the same battery. Can you tell me how the battery worked out for you? Thanks in advances
Thanks for the video, very helpful! Quick question: I see you’ve blacked out several parts of the bike, did you just paint original parts or bought black ones? (If so, can you share links?) I am particularly interested in the brackets that hold the headlight! Thank you!
I have a 2020 triumph speed twin 1200. It's my first bike. I live in New Hampshire and it gets cold. I'm keeping my bike under a carport with a cover on it for the winter. I put stabil in the gas tank and ran it for a few minutes. My question is, can I leave my battery in the bike for the winter and just attack the battery tender to it? It has a pig tail sticking out to hook up the tender.
How long has your triumph lasted on the original battery?? Tell me in the comments!
Thanks for the video. My battery lasted 2 years before I had to let it sit for 3 months. Great sound on your exhaust by the way.

Thank you very much!
Best practise is to disconnect earth/minus from battery first then plus, when connecting battery plus first, earth/minus last.
Good advice!! Thank you 🤘
Cheers, man - figured it was straight forward, and glad to see that it is.
Glad i could provide reassurance! 👌 thank you for watching!
Great video! Appreciate the tip about adding electric tape to prevent contact. Thank you

I had them powder coated black! I made a 3 part series on the process if you're curious 👍
Thanks, I’ll check that out!

I dont see why not! I've gone winters with my battery plugged in, and also not plugged in. Seems to work alright 👍
