Me and my friends did this against the final boss with fireworks in a backpack. The final boss lost 30 hp and we were like "wtf it didn't work!" then the game game straight up went to the ending cutscene because it was lagging so hard
The music sync is amazing. Like Raphael is just belting out this dramatic song, totally up his own ass about how amazing he is. Then he looks over and see's he's surrounded by barrels of explosives, and you're ready to throw the fireball. Also, I love barrelmancy. Its hilarious to me how eldritch gods and ancient devils can be bested by bombing the fuck out of them.

No significant changes otherwise, just makes her happier her sister's not dead.

I tried to do something similar in my last honor run. Got unlucky on the initiative roll, and Yurgir played first. First thing he did was shoot the barrels. Thankfully I had fewer barrels than you did and some of my party managed to survive, and I barely managed to save the honor run. So... never trying this again, lol

Best strat i seen on this is have the party go invisible before the boss battle make sure u have that weapon that multiplies the damage done by 1 piercing for every 300 gold; you reverse pickpocket and give this guy like 40k-80k gold then just one tap him and your CPU to the next world.
I do like barrelmancy as much as the next guy, but using the fireworks from the shop ( where possible, so no here they deal mostly fire iirc) is infinitely more funny to me. You have a guy come up to you and next you know you are a fine mist, spread thinly through the air as no more remain of you after the lightshow settels. Onehitting anything not immune to fire out of nowhere is always quite entertaining to watch.
Clearly my party did not do enough drugs before initiating the fight, and we scored abysmally on the initiative tracker. Astarion, who normally takes 6+ actions and crits every roll, was instantly killed. However. Karlach chose to ignore the orchestral marvel that is "Raphael's Final Act" and instead opted in for some Mick Gordon BFG Division. The Dark Urge frantically flew about the arena blasting the masonry into rubble... And Shadowheart reviewed her spell list to discover that she had PLANAR BINDING and proceeded to cast it upon Raphael. Raphael then decided Mick Gordon was indeed a fine substitute for his overture and he gave Karlach a high five before proving that even cambions can burn in hell.
Damn... you weren't messing around with the barrelmancy. I found that even with the Runepowder vial and bomb at the center, simply placing 7 - 10 barrels all around him just isn't enough. He always gets blasted clear of the main explosion for me and never suffers more than 60 to 90 HP in damage. I guess I should collect every single barrel I can find in the game and save all of them for this one event... :D
I did that, still wasnt enough, but i didnt use the runepowder bomb (tactician btw). I also got a few random kobolds in the fight from the firewine barrels i picked up at the lathander temple in act 1. Guess i was just carrying them around this whole time lol
Without having tried it, the person in the video used fireball to ignite all ordinance at the same time, maybe that's a factor, did you just shoot one barrel? Could be good to know for when I'm gonna try
Not sure what mechanically happened here. You barrel ambushed him, he ate several explosions, and then the soul pillars just nuked the entier room? What exactly happened?
It looked like the barrels burned, spilled the gunpowder, and then all the powder blew up and decided the furniture needed to also be explosive in nature and then decided the entire room also needed to be the same way
Every time when I see something like that, I wandering how peoples can do it. No matter how many barrels I brought to House of Hope for detonate them, every time Raphael lost 50-60 hp. Even when I detonate that bomb, which gnomes give us before, result in not changed.
In my first run Hope had 1HP at the end of the fight, had her farewell talk with me, then burned to death lol but the game thought she was still alive ( convos, journal ). The same happened with Wyll's father somehow and it made my companions look like they were in the denial phase.
