Kern Dalton - All I want is coffee in my bed

This is a song I wrote in July 2021 when I spent a magical summer at my brother Ryan's home-stay, The Dalton's Village, in Tirthan Valley, Himachal Pradesh.
The Dalton’s Village is a beautiful property in a valley beside a stream. The place is a paradise and the mornings are perfect. Simple living at it’s best. Bambi, the cute golden dream, who features in this video was our constant companion. She’d join us as we’d stroll along these beautiful walking trails beside a water channel and other times relax as we’d laze around on the hammock and just melt into the pace of nature. We were a small group of close friends and we had the time of our lives. The property is rustic and very secluded and this is the charm of the place. It is among the must-visit properties in the area. One-of-a-kind for sure.
I carried along an acoustic guitar on that trip and one day thought of learning some new folk guitar plucking patterns. This one pattern I found particularly interesting and crafted a song around it. I completed the song structure in an hour or less. And the very next day wrote lyrics to the song.
I later recorded a first draft and even made this cute little video from footage I captured while at The Dalton’s Village. I re-recorded the vocals and kept tweaking the audio on and off for months right up to the moment before uploading this video.
The perfectionist in me didn’t allow me to put the song out until now. But here’s to turning the page and starting a new era in my music career. Writing and releasing my original music. I’ve got so much to share and I’m raring to go. Thank you for being a part of my music journey. I appreciate you.
