That diminished chord you snuck into 'Say It Ain't So' got my step mom all hot and bothered! She's now gonna make ziti tonight, so thanks for that, Ben!!!
"Rich bastard"... stated Dio guitarist Vivian Campbell about Journey guitarist Neal Schon to Guitar magazine writer. Another spoiled rich guitarist: Joe Bonamassa!
Thank you. You’ve made me smile for the first time in 7 months. Been battling depression and this was instant relief. Your song / riff choice was bang on. Special thanks for the Sykes tribute at the end.
Love the JEL-50. Sounds amazing. Have an original BE-100 and never get rid of it. It does everything in spades. The Friedman stuff sounded great when bought. The original BE-100 was what made the choice. It is a great amp. A lot more kids in JEL.
I know it's a Jake E Lee amp, and you did right by throwing in Bark at the Moon, but ending with John Sykes - Bad Boys, Cryin' in the Rain, was next level 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Really wasn't trying to hear and appraise the amp, just listening to a sh!t load of my favourite riffs!!! AND as I write this you break out the LP Custom and fire off into my favourite of all ' BAD BOYS'. Sykes writes some BAD ASS riffs
Uncle Ben, awesome showing of your chops and the awesome Friedman JEL-50 head!!! This is what I could figure out....but missed a few. My favs were the Sykes stuff at the end 👍🏽 1. Joe Satriani - Always With Me, Always With You 2. Skid Row - 18 and Life 3. ??? - ??? 4. Michael Jackson - Rock With You 5. Little River Band - Reminiscing 6. ??? - ??? 7. Thin Lizzy - Jailbreak 8. Guns n Roses - Mr Brownstone 9. Kansas - Carry On My Wayard Son 10. Van Halen - You Really Got Me 11. Britny Fox - Girls School 12. Cinderella - Gypsy Rose 13. Van Halen - I'm the One 14. Van Halen - Runnin' with the Devil 15. Jake E Lee - Bark at the Moon 16. Lourness - Crazy Nights 17. Steve Vai - Erotic Nightmares 18. Ratt - Round and Round 19. David Lee Roth - Just Like Paradise 20. ??? - ??? 21. Ratt - Lay It Down 22. Extreme - Lil' Jack Horny 23. King's X - Dogman 24. Whitesnake - Judgement Day 25. Whitesnake - Bad Boys 26. Whitesnake - Cryin' in the Rain
18 and Life Riff. I watched the other your interview with Scotti Hill. Was great. Also I had asked you a few weeks ago on instagram a question about holding the pick with 3 fingers. Thanks for your answer. It gave me confidence about improving the way I play without trying to change the way I hold the pick. Cheers.
Uncle Ben can play more songs than I can name. I definitely heard Rock with You followed by Reminiscing played on the american strat. I caught about 10 seconds of Jail Break on the Les Paul, Carry on, Wayward Son into You Really Got Me on the white Jackson, I'm the One and Running with the Devil on the blue guitar on Channel 2. Bark at the Moon on the red Jackson, Round and Round on the Jem, Now here's Lay it Down on the Suhr.... and that's about all I know. I be a lot of those were 80s hair and in the Skank Banger repertoire.
I love that Loudness riff. I use to see them in Southern California. Like the Country Club in Reseda for example. I really like there older stuff before they got signed in United States. Go listen to the song "Esper". It is super bad ass
@ you started with lower output, worked your way up to the Jackson’s and there is just way too much fur for me at the end. I’ve never liked it despite being the fan I am. Best tone I ever got was a cranked Full Shred into my Mesa rig. I hit hard, I don’t need the pickups and pedals to catch it up. It’s not a criticism of your choices etc. You just grok what the originals did 😂 I think the suhr black satin was the limit.
Was pretty cool hearing some Cinderella and Britney Foxx in there too! Growing up around them in the Philly/Jersey clubs. And some Loudess also! ←it's one of my ring tones 😂
I have the JEL 20 and I got to say one of the best tones on that amp (and the one I look most forward to using when I gig) is the plexi channel with the gain knob dimed and the front end being boosted by a Buxom Boost or a Golden Pearl. Hearing you basically doing the same thing with the JEL 50 had me nodding my head and saying “he understands!” Plenty of gain for 80’s rock in that setting.
Sorry i cut to the high gain with bad monkey section, you didn't disappoint with your song selection, your face playing bad boys tells me where your heart really lies!
Aaah! Friedman amps, few amp makers provoke such conflicting emotions in me. My inner guitar player drools, craves, yearns, for one of His creations. Any of them, really... But the would-be responsible grown-up keeping watch over my measly funds, is absolutely outraged by their price tags... Great playing, though, Ben, and great demo, as usual. Your skills make me nearly as envious as the awesome gear you unleash them on..! 😜
@BenEller If I could... I definitely would. Well, most probably... yeah, definitely. But then, which to choose? Would it be Shirley? Her Twin Sister? Or the stunning Scarlet of the House of E. Lee? Each worthy of a deep and abiding love and loyalty. Oh, glorious nights I foresee , but only if their dowry were not so dear...
Funnily enough my strat knockoff is what I use to push my Ir -J. It has great cleans but its extremly hot. Its like 9 decibels more output than my EVH wolfgang. And while audibly that may not seem like much in terms of signal thats pretty wild.
I think got some right not in order satriani always with you always with me, skid row 18 and life, thin lizzy china town, brittney Fox girl school, extreme get the funk out, loundness, kansas, vh you really got me, black crows, Ozzy bark at the moon, vai is the audience listening, ratt round and round, ratt lay it down( what really great tone!!) white snake... Honestly I thought the best tone was when you played ratt lay it down! You should do more of this type of video when you get a new amp or a piece cool gear👍🤘🎸
Excellent playing as expected, but I'm not hearing anything from that amp that would make me ditch my $1,300 JEL-20 and drop over double the cash for a JEL-50. Perhaps that's why this was a "no talking" video????

Please can u consider to make a video about style and techniques of the guitarrist from HIM band? I love your videos, thanks

That diminished chord you snuck into 'Say It Ain't So' got my step mom all hot and bothered! She's now gonna make ziti tonight, so thanks for that, Ben!!!
1:34 🥵
Nothing better than an “ all worked up step- mom AND some baked ziti…!……that’s outstanding!
Clicked for the amp, stayed for the song selection! Envious of all your cool guitars and amps! Long time listener. Thanks for all you do.
Much appreciated!
"Rich bastard"... stated Dio guitarist Vivian Campbell about Journey guitarist Neal Schon to Guitar magazine writer.
Another spoiled rich guitarist: Joe Bonamassa!
As Tuco said, "TIGHT TIGHT TIGHT!!"
Fucking hilarious 😂 always love tuco references.
😂😂😂
Thank you. You’ve made me smile for the first time in 7 months. Been battling depression and this was instant relief. Your song / riff choice was bang on. Special thanks for the Sykes tribute at the end.
F-cking great guitar playing Ben! Loved all these amzing riffs perfectly executed!
Thanks a ton!
This Friedman JEL 50 is the best sounding Friedman so far IMO.
Uncle Ben has almost every USA guitar known to man but still refuses to upgrade his camera to 4k 😂 the mark of a real guitarist ❤️
Reminiscing by Little River Band, You've out done yourself Uncle Ben !!
It has to be at least 25 yrs since I last heard it and I knew it right away. I wonder if that's in the yacht rock gig rotation?
You beg!!! A little LRB never hurt nobody!
What a treat REMINISCING so many of my favorite riffs!
Awesome job! Man I love RATT Warren and Robin have so many awesome riffs. Anyway thanks for making feel like a kid again
Yes brought back some memories when Ben broke out into round and round. Might be time to do a RATT compilation, bahahahahaaaaa
Aint nothing making grumpy uncle Ben smirk like the swaggy groovy simplicity of She Is Beautiful. What a heartthrob
Uncle Ben has all sorts of chops!!!
Tastier than his microwaveable rice
EPIC!! Great riffs and execution. The Skid Row 18 & Life part is my personal favorite part.
Wow, wasn't expecting to hear some Loudness Riffs, Kudos man!
I’m stoked you caught it!
I loved every minute of it ! I hope the neighbors did too !!
"Up to my neck in you"
Great job!! Especially like that you played Loudness! Bonus points for She Is Beautiful!
You have great taste!!
Love the JEL-50. Sounds amazing. Have an original BE-100 and never get rid of it. It does everything in spades. The Friedman stuff sounded great when bought. The original BE-100 was what made the choice. It is a great amp. A lot more kids in JEL.
Even this old school metalhead recognizes and loves that Little River Band jam
You played great stuff I grew up with as an 80s kid. All the great hair metal. Thanks brother!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@ always a pleasure to hear you tear up my favorite players!
Oh lawd, them tones! Across the board (PUN INTENDED), every guitar sounded amazing!
Glad to hear some Loudness.
I know it's a Jake E Lee amp, and you did right by throwing in Bark at the Moon, but ending with John Sykes - Bad Boys, Cryin' in the Rain, was next level 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Gypsy Rose 🌹! Great playing uncle Ben!
This was super fun, Uncle Ben!🎸⚡️🤘
Uncle Ben, playing the hits that Rock! Nice to finally see the black Les Paul Custom again!
Really wasn't trying to hear and appraise the amp, just listening to a sh!t load of my favourite riffs!!! AND as I write this you break out the LP Custom and fire off into my favourite of all ' BAD BOYS'. Sykes writes some BAD ASS riffs
LOUDNESS
That tone from the LP Custom was dripping with awesome sauce ❤🤘🤩🎸🧨🧨🧨🚀💰
Where have you been Uncle Ben..........???? nice to see you again...... keep ROCKING BRO....!!!!!!

I’m so stoked to hear that! Thanks!
12:01 “Lay it Down” Ratt
The sound was so perfect for this riff!
Oh yeah! Carry on Wayward Son!! Loved hearing that again!
Well worth listening to, cheers Ben 👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Sounds like a plexi with overhaul and upgraded balls
13:38. Exactly!!!
Uncle Ben can play more songs than I can name.

Incredible demo Uncle Ben - always love the variety of styles to really showcase an amp.
Thanks man! When the amp is capable of so much totally, you gotta play stuff that shows it off!
aaahhh the soothing sounds of yacht rock!
The crunch is a little loose and hairy like my mom
Best comment
I concur.
5:00 Carry on wayward son - Kansas, 5:35 You really got me - Van Halen / The Kinks, 8:25 Bark at the moon - Ozzy
The Gibson custom both Jackson’s all Ibanez and the Shur modern’s were my favorites! This video was fukn awesome 🤟🏻
I love that Loudness riff. I use to see them in Southern California. Like the Country Club in Reseda for example. I really like there older stuff before they got signed in United States. Go listen to the song "Esper". It is super bad ass
All of them sound amazing with your skill uncle ben nothing but the best 💯🤘🏻🏆🎸🔥💣💪
:42 "Always with you always with me" Satriani
Tasty, especially the John Sykes.
Fantastic playing,Mr Eller.
Hitting all the right spots there fella. Still waiting for your John Sykes solo🤨.😆👍🏻
Dude that steely dan ❤
Friedman- sounds just like paradise 😎👍🇺🇸
I honestly wish you were my real Uncle. ❤
I geeked out when you played Girlschool!!
Moar like these please! Much appreciation for playing BAtM like JEL does, kudos
The lead tone with the ibanez jem77 was the best in the whole video imo, i should have one haha
You should have one!
Very nice work Uncle Ben! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
8:28 “Bark at the Moon” Ozzy
Little River Band! Classic!
Holy cow. I will forever be on team medium output pickups… this video just proves they sound better.
Which ones in particular did you like?
@ you started with lower output, worked your way up to the Jackson’s and there is just way too much fur for me at the end. I’ve never liked it despite being the fan I am. Best tone I ever got was a cranked Full Shred into my Mesa rig. I hit hard, I don’t need the pickups and pedals to catch it up.
It’s not a criticism of your choices etc. You just grok what the originals did 😂 I think the suhr black satin was the limit.
Sounds amazing and looks cool
Wow, ALL channels Sound great ❤.
Agreed!
It sounds so good
Was pretty cool hearing some Cinderella and Britney Foxx in there too! Growing up around them in the Philly/Jersey clubs. And some Loudess also! ←it's one of my ring tones 😂
Great to finish with some Whitesnake, they rock. I would love to see you break down some Boston stuff also.
Isn’t it sick?!
@ BTW, your vid on the JEL 20 was the main reason I bought it. Great job on it.
Someone really likes their Whitesnake.
Sorry i cut to the high gain with bad monkey section, you didn't disappoint with your song selection, your face playing bad boys tells me where your heart really lies!
I love this amp.
Dam, loved the Vai/Whitesnake Judgement Day riff!
I like how you were playing crazy nights by Loudness that’s a pretty cool tune
Brilliant
Great job, man!
Sounds bad ass

Ottimo playng, davvero piacevole ascoltarti, riesci a suonare il pezzo adeguato al gain corrispondente.
My stepmom can’t shut up about your finger technique!
I would love to see a guitar collection video plz!
10:14 That’s about the most perfect rendition of Just Like Paradise as you’re likely to ever hear.
Thank you!!
I waited for that bad boys riff and that face!
Sounds gr8 b!
Kick Azzzzz... Thx for the great riffs bruh 🤘

05:58 Brytny Fox riff yeah! 09:10 Loudness riff 10:40 Andrew W K "she is beautiful"
You like great stuff!
I was already at 11 and then you kicked in Bad Boys and the Sykes legato runs.
Bad Ass!!
Wow! Nice demo.
Thank you! Cheers!
The last 2 Whitesnake sections were killah. Would love a video just about those and how you setup the amp for that sound etc etc.
Heard some Kings x
8:55 Crazy nights by Loudness! Objectivly the best english language lyrics written by a person who did not really speak English. M. Zed. A!!!!
Yes!!! Haha
And some of the best 80s shredding by the wonderful Akira Takasaki 🤘😎🤘

Great playing 👍🏻
Thanks a lot!
Christ, that sound good
Was that Brittany Fox?? Uncle Ben!!!
0:42 joe satriani- always with me, always with you. Severly underrated
I wish I knew this many riffs
Girl School is such a great riff. Britny Fox actually had a bunch of killer riffs
