I build guitars. I've had a chance to try one of these. They stay in tune like nothing else you have heard. They are really well thought out, made out of top quality solid steel (no cheating here), feel amazing and are super easy to install. Their sustain, thick sound and precision exceed even the most expensive boutique models out there. You'll be blown away!
Big Nope!!... You don't know at all about guitar parts. Floyd Gotoh Schaller are the Legend Tremolo ever since in the World!!.. Do Not ever claim the new player is the best. You got me?
I'd love to see a video demonstrating intonation. I like the idea that the string is offset from the locking screw and that the intonation adjustment is built in.
Would love to see a bend test, just bend one string and then play a chord, without diving the tremolo in between. I always found that to be the biggest pain point with basically all tremolos that I have tested.
@@AGuitarNinja I have a original Steinberger Trem. It solves this problem by a simple locking mechanism, that you can enable during playing. Very convenient in case of a sudden string break. My Kahler-Tremolo has this mechanism too, but you need an allan-key for enabling.
Awesome video!! Thanks for the info on this tremolo. I use Ibanez Edge tremolo on that note this tremolo looks very well built and I'm going to pull the trigger and buy one of these. Thanks again! 🤘🤘🤘
I don’t usually post negative comments about items people demo, but a screw in arm? Thats seems like we lost technology there. And at 13:15, it was out of tune, but you quickly yanked the bar back up to reset the strings. I do however think its a beautiful system, but I wouldn’t claim it to stay in tune any better than others. Ive had many floyds and Ibanez Edge systems, never had any issues.
theres probably several factors, but the most obvious i think would be the precision and quality of the knife edges. Cheaper cast ones are going to chip and wear, if only just very slightly at first, but enough to throw out of tune by a few cents (enough to notice). Cheaper springs that dont have 100% 'memory' (dont return to their contracted state completely), and nuts that allow string slippage. I think this being milled out of stainless would help alleviate quite a few of those issues, if the machining is precise enough, theoretically anyway.
I have some questions: Are the knife edges hardened? My 1982 Floyd Rose still returns to pitch, the knife edges are still sharp. Does this Tremolo come in a Left-handed version? How much does it cost? Thanks in advance.
Its very intriguing. I like that its made from solid stainless steel, as oppsed to cast parts that wear out. A little concerned with how low profile the fine tuner heads are- they look difficult to grab and adjust. Just initial observation though. Too bad it cant take a D-tuna.
Honestly, this is all well & good.... but I want to see someone go absolutely APESHIT on the bar ala Blackmore ( In Rock ) Uli Roth ( old Scorpions ) or Yngwie ( Marching Out, Trilogy ) ...... before I am convinced this system stays in tune. Those guys stayed in tune with old school Fender bridges....please show me, please. None of this mild dipping crap, I want real whammy madness/tuning stability. Thank you.
Great video. Can you give a link of stock guitars that come with this tremolo system please. Someone needs to make a guitar with this tremolo system with sustainiac pickups!!
Cool whammy tricks. Mattias Eklundh would be proud. :) This is cool but there is one problem. *Japanese made and other import guitars often use R8 locking nuts. R2-R3 nuts will be too tall. More Floyd Rose bridge system makers need to have an R8 nut as an option.* I often have to get around this by using *Floyd Rose R8 locking nuts with Schaller 1302 bridges, which often work together without buzzing.* *Does this also fit Ibanez bridges?* Most of the time when retrofitting cheaper Ibanezes, it is not guaranteed that Schaller/OFR/Gotoh bridges will fit without some wood work. *Also, I hope the trem works on narrower import bridge posts/mounting studs.* Many times the studs have to be removed and the holes re-drilled for the slightly larger Schaller/OFR/Gotoh bridge posts. So far I just leave the import posts in and the Schaller and OFR bridges work without shifting. I have not tried the Gotoh. So far, the only problem with this seems to be the lack of an R8 nut. A great design for sure. Thanks so much for showing this bridge.
still waiting for at least one option for 7 string guitar from tremoline, IF it ever happens I will jump aboard!! But staying with Floyd or Gotoh for now, as they are the only real option for 7 strings!
Almost as good as a Kahler and is everything that the Floyd Rose is not. This is what the Floyd should have been to begin with. Now I need about 8 of them in left handed please.
It's a great product but nothing really ground-breaking here. In terms of sheer innovation, it pales in comparison to Steinberger Transtrem (which was introduced in 1984!). Just better materials and some tweaks that you would expect from a €250 unit (+VAT, +shipping, +transfer fee). I like the intonation adjustment feature. But I don't like the fixed radius and the fact that you'll be dependent on the only source for parts/repairs.
The best double locking tremolo is the Kahler one. Does everything a Floyd does, has more adjustability, can be locked without the need of extra parts and requires very little material to be removed from the guitar body.
i dont get why they sell a Locking Nut radius from 10.0 to 12.0, and a Tremolo Unit radius of 16.0. Pure non sense or only good for compound guitar necks. Still waiting for a double locking system matching perfectly for 17 radius neck. I have a kahler locking nut in 17 and and floyd 1000 pro tremolo unit with saddles shims. it works but far from perfection
I bought a used Ibanez that had a genuine FR fitted to it in the mid '80s it was ok until I changed the strings and then I could not get it to stay in tune, this put me off them for life!

Same man.... that's pretty awesome Igor reviews add ons/mods for others
This exactly what we need, alternative to Floyd, Gotoh and Schaller. Great stuff.

@@AmpunkanTaubat Muahahaa, I haven't claimed that it is the best just an alternative. How many guitars you have built ?. You got me stupid f?ck ?
@@AmpunkanTaubat I didn't claim that it is the best just an alternative. You got me now?
Great playing!! I own a bunch of Floyd Roses, 0 issues, but I do like some of the new features this Tremelo has. I will be trying one.
An excellent engineering product! Our respect to Mr. Teodor Maslarov!
Thank you, Igor, for telling and demonstrating the operation of this device!
Fantastic review. Immediately subscribed to your channel.. just enough detail and explanation and fantastic playing as well.. awesome trem..

The only way to alleviate that with any floating bridge is to get a stabilizer. Physics is always undefeated
Have you tried a transtrem? I’ve never had a chance but sounds like Ned steinberger was onto solving that problem

Looks like a great piece of work.
Harley Benton with stock pick ups? btw the tone and sustain was epic. Nice playing brother.
Excellent demo! Need one.

Agree
"Invented" Is a bit of a stretch since it still looks like a FR.
Great video, Igor! What are you using to generate the tone in the intro jam? Is it one of your Tonex captures?
is this trem coming with Harley benton Guitars?? and which humbucker has your Fender Strat Player?? awesome video Igor!
I would really like to understand the physics/engineering behind why a trem will not return to pitch but another one will.

It's like thinking about super shining fretboards. They are not useful for everyone, only from a certain level.
Could you add a link for the exact model of Harley Benton guitar that you are using?
I really dig your playing dude!
Interesting product. Looks like they've come down to $250 for the 36T and even lower for some other models.
In my opinion nothing beats Ibanez ZR bridge. But it has a major flaw: it's not sold any longer.
Can this replace an Ibanez Edge Tremolo without changing anything on the guitar body wood?
I have some questions:

tremolo system looks great 🤘🤘🤘
GREAT VIDEO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want a GOLD COLOR one !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do they make a D tuna unit for these? a drop D add on, so you can easily drop into DD tuning?
I just wish them to make the headless tremolo...
duh.. pingin sekali gitarmu bang, sayangnya saya belum kesampaian beli gitar sebagus abang.

Get a guitar with a sustainiac and a floyd and just replace the Floyd. It’s not rocket science
Pretty sweet😃👍

this trem is best with guitar with past 2 point trem and do some wood works, because if replace floyd rose we'll have excess cavity present
I think that Lo Pro Edge,Edge from IBANEZ is the BEST.
But now new time and we have new product (tremolo)
the springs are conductive right? need good conductive springs that for the ground to work proper
Stainless is conductive, it's not the most conductive because it's an alloy but for grounding it should be great.
Seems like a fair price to me!
Wowwwww

11:06 Ibanez Edge Zero
What’s the radius of the bridge at the saddles? Is it adjustable?
Of the saddles 16" , of the locking nut 12"

Can it be used with just locking tuners
Крутая штука!

Dammit. I just bought a Schaller lockmeister.
I come from Thailand
