  • Extremely well executed run. I was playing around getting a 1:54 the entire time, and without hypnosis I would've achieved my goal. Definitely going to push for 1:54, though I don't know when.

Pokémon Yellow Version, Special Pikachu Edition, is the third Pokémon game for Game Boy released worldwide, as a solitary version of Pokémon Red and Blue Versions. Unlike other games, Pokemon Yellow was inspired by the anime. Generation 7 remakes, titled Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, were released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch in November 2018, two months after Yellow's 20th anniversary in Japan. The Current World Record for the Any% Glitchless speedrun is 1 hours, 54 minutes and 1 seconds by Gunnermaniac. Any% Glitchless means that you beat the game as fast as possible, without using glitches. Nidoking is used in the Pokemon Yellow Speedrun, as it evolves early, has great stats, has an amazing moveset and allows the runner to take full advantage of certain gen 1 mechanics.

All these people in the comments are really stupid. From what I understand, the run is 1:55 because that's the in-game timer, 100% understandable and not misleading. And to all these people calling Gunner a nerd, please, go get a life. He's streaming for fun and wants to play this in his free time, so let him. And who cares if he starts yelling and getting hyped over the game? He's having fun. And if someone is getting out of breath, don't judge them, this was stressful for him, and from what I understand after watching this stream VOD his heart gives him issues.
More power to you Gunner, cool run, I could never do this.

I really REALLY dedicatedly wanted a damn Butterfree and I stupidly caught a Metapod that only knew harden, YOU TRY GETTING IT TO LEVEL 10 (to evolve) THEN LEVEL 12 (to learn its next move that does damage Confusion) WITH ONLY BEING ABLE TO SWITCH IT TO EARN XP!!! lets see you do a better time lol. Also anyone with half a brain can work out that in a glitchless speedrun it's not going to take 1 minute and 55 seconds (that's probably impossible even WITH glitches) and also by looking at the video time of it being 1 hour and 58 minutes before you even click on it you can pretty much guess what it means.

    • @allieisasleep

Look at this guy almost fainting in real life because of a fucking Pokemon speed run.
I like people doing speed run but man. This is about the most stereotypical nerd shit i have ever seen. And because of that i just had to stop watching after the misty battle. I cringed way too hard.
Edit: (WOT INCOMING) Okay since people just keep assuming that this is meant to be a "troll" comment i will explain to you what this is.
I left this comment after i had tried to watch this entire video but i had to stop because i straight up didnt like it for above reasons. The comment was left because i wanted to explain why i left a dislike since many people do not do that which is why people assume those to be "haterzzz" "trolls" w/e. I feel it is my duty as a viewer on a imteractive video streaming website to get into contact with the comtent creator to let him/her know why i liked/disliked the video. By my explanation they can decide whether or not they need/want to change certain things about their style of video or w/e in order to keep me or win me over as a viewer.
Automatically calling negative comments "trolls" or "hate" is an absolutely childish (i will be calm and leave it at "childish before i dish out REAL hate for the people that support this blsck/white videw of things) reaction. If you cant take someone disliking what you do then that is noones fault but your own. I didnt say "how does anyone like this douche blablabla". But people come around and asking me why i hate this guy even though i have not said a word about him as a person.
Just stop it, people. The fact i had to put this WOT shows why i usually try to avoid leaving comments and that is fucking asinine.

As a kid playing pokemon yellow, I was playing the game alongside the anime series, as such, most of my strategy came from the anime I always faced brook using pikachu, pidgey and disposables metapods, mys strategy was to sand attack all of brook's pokemons as much as possible, then proceed to tackle them until they faint, hoping he miss most of this attacks. It was slow and painful, and so was the cave to get to cerulean, usually tried to get a geodude and use rock thrown, I only I knew it was as easy as getting a Nidorino, but back then such knowledge probably was only available the official game guide or a tip on a game magazine, oh how times have change.

If I hadn't watched this then I would have never known about 'menu-ing in certain places to save a turn frame, which is like, 1/15th of a second. Turn frames exist, but they exist in the following way; it doesn't matter, like, if you're stationary or not, it's just the first time you turn in every room is a turn frame. However if you menu before your turn frame is acted it for some reason eats the turn frame. So if you can menu before turning in a room then that's how you save turn frames.
    That's the only way.' (sic)
Shit I had no idea speed runs were this intense :O

Those donations read out by the woman-voiceover had me in stitches btw and congrats on the new WR will look out for more of your uploads, when are you streaming next? Since you can connect your Twitch account to Discord, if your channel is partnered, then Discord recognises your follower and sub list. When one of your subscribers for the first time gets invited/joins your Discord channel, if they are also connected to Twitch, then Discord will notice if that user is subscribed to your Twitch channel or not, and make that person a sub in your Discord channel if thats the case
