The "Heel Clap" is the greatest contribution to music since the 80's. Super smart idea..... how every Strip Club in America is not doing this song at least once a night just baffles me.
Gotta appreciate the commentary on selling out here. While she’s becoming a stripper which is generally considered a degrading job, she’s actually just stepping up from staff to star. She’s got more control of her image and future as a stripper than he does selling out for fame. In the end she’s being truer to rock here than he is, who’s demoted to being something he’s not.

Constantine, best cameo ever. Mary and Julianne, beautifully killing the vocals. Mia, those stilettos. Just such a small thing, those shoe clicks, but it makes the number.
Not just vocals, also as a character. She clearly respects the girls she hires. She tells Sherri the fastest way she’ll earn the money she needs is by dancing but at he same time acts like “I won’t force you to do anything you’re not comfortable with yet”. There was that scene in shadows of the night where a customer grabbed Sherri’s butt and she splashed a drink at him. Most employers would fire people on the spot for something like that
It’s truly great to see Hollywood take songs that I love, songs I have such a connection with, songs that really helped me become the person I am today and do something truly creative and great with them. It’s the little things like the heel clicks, the mash-ups and the stunning vocals of Julianne and Mary that make this movie something I will treasure forever.
