She is arguably one of the most stunning women to ever exist. A great actress but musicals is where she truly shines. The energy, vocals and presence she brings to them is excellent
I feel like this movie would have been really fun to do. And Catherine Zeta Jones does such a great job with it. She's a good actress, but I seriously love her in musicals, she's akways so energetic.
Seriously Pat Benetar on a church organ is not a thing I knew I was missing in my life until I saw this. XD this whole movie is filled with musical combinations one would never think of but work SO well
The plot of the movie is like your ordinary plot but I loved it because of the musical numbers. I ended up jamming on all of the numbers. This one is one of my favourites.
I only just realized from 2:32 onward they replicated the dance sequence from Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. 😅 And they snuck in Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo !
Yeah, It's kinda hard to explain and put into words, but just as you exhale, you tighten your throat and push out on the word "hearts", but don't make it forced though.
GOD !!! she is wonderfullll ! I really hope that their gonna make another snow white Movie with Catherine as the Evil Queen !!! Really love her as a bad as villain.
That`s the reason why I really like Tom Cruise. Even of his good action films, and even of unbelievable great performances as Les Grossman, giving Stacee Jaxx his personality and his motion is genius.I really don`t unterstand why some people do not like this film/musical.
ragemonkey117 But then again you stop and look at the choreography for other scenes and they don’t make sense (Tom Cruise singing into a girl’s behind? lol)
Almost 10 years later, I still wish WB would release a version without the cut away scenes during the musical numbers. The music numbers have really good choreography and the cut away scenes are distracting. Also I know there’s an R rated cut but I feel like there’s additional scenes to make it more authentic. The PG-13 version is very explicit, like if they just dived into the sex, drugs, and Rock n Roll reputation the movie would’ve been more grounded.
Has a personal vendetta against Stacee Jax because they had a fling in the past, uses her agenda to influence and manipulate church goers. The mayor's wife is corrupt.
2:40, Looks like they were trying to do the dance from the music video for Michael Jackson's Beat It, but Catherine either had sciatica or a back brace on. Or she intensionally did it stiffly, either for the whole "we're super pious soccer moms" vibe, or maybe the other women weren't professionals and she didn't want to upstage them.
The choreography with the church pews is so ridiculous and i love it 1:49 The mayors wife was not a character in the original musical. She replaced the characters of Franz and Hertz, two German developers who tbh kinda felt out of place in the original show (but they were still funny). I didn’t mind that many of the changes they made to the original show.
Hey Mia, would you know by any chance why Bryan Cranston didn't end up singing in this song at all? I read an article saying he would sing a bit and I was really looking forward to it. haha
*IF I WAS STACY JACKS, I WOULD'NT LIKE TO UNDERSTAND:* *"THE CORPORAL LENGUAGE" OF KATHERINE ZETA JONES* *AT MINUTE: **2:53** TO THE MINUTE: 2: 56 ¡¡¡NO WAY!!!*
I think this film needed the Rob Marshall direction and make the musical numbers in the characters mind, making all the musical numbers way larger. I would have loved to see Catherine with a more Rock star look for that number. She is a great singer and dancer but this needed a better choreography.
She is arguably one of the most stunning women to ever exist. A great actress but musicals is where she truly shines. The energy, vocals and presence she brings to them is excellent
I would argue dancing is her true talent, with singing and acting making her a triple threat. Her dancing in Zorra, Chicago and this is all iconic!
@@rewindandfreeze I’ve not seen her dancing enough to judge but I’ll check it out. Chicago is iconic
It's The Welsh In Her.
With her in it, beat Mask of Zorro

Chatherine Zeta-Jones is the reason I loved this film!
UltraGalaxyify
She’s a celebrity crush of mine.
She was so good in this and as well in Chicago. She has a great sense of style and decor. She is classy all together.
I know it's probably mostly editing magic but the smoothness of that transition to the number is mesmerizing.
I love how tongue-in-cheek this movie is while still paying homage to one of the greatest decades of rock
Are there similar movies in fun essence to this? Maybe Wayne's World comes to mind, but I'm a bit younger to realize movies like this exist!
Pure comedy gold. The arm raises as she backs down the aisle......OMG.
Shes so cute

CZJ is just awesome in every film. What an actress and what a singer. All the Welsh can sing can't they ?
It’s funny when it’s revealed why Zeta Jones hates Cruise’s character so much!
Which is?
@@ultimattprime2861 she was his number #1 groupie back in the day 😂
Literally revealed in the first line of the song ...
Yeah 'cause she's bitter about him lmao
I'm sure the choreography and filming would have been gruelling, but they look like they're having so much fun
that woman is freaking brilliant
Now this is some sreious liturgical dance! The choreography is outstanding.
I only just realized from 2:32 onward they replicated the dance sequence from Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. 😅

"Take a good, long, hard, long look!" Is it just me, or do all of these women secretly want Stacee Jaxx?
Who wouldn’t want Stacee Jaxx 😏?
Its not subtle.
Nothing subtle about it. They literally put his picture up there like a shrine.
well... have you seen the movie? ;)
Love this film so much! Catherine zeta jones is just a legend
Catherine Zeta-Jones is also MY spirit animal. But not just in this scene; pretty much always.
chantemoi how can a person be a spirit and an animal?
She nailed it
She’s still got it 💃🏻
Must have been so much fun filming this!
1:03, _how_ does she do that little squeak on "hearts" and how can I replicate it?
It's kinda hard to explain, but it's pretty much tightening up the back of your throat and kinda push it. Like I said it's hard to explain.

2:39 when your drunk and trying to do the Beat it dance
When the white women got in the wine coolers
I would think Pat Benatar would love this, and I also hear the guitar riff from "Beat It" in the final chorus!
"My son ate the head of my neighbor's horse because of Stacee Jaxx!"
It was probably an ANIMAL CRACKER.
This was a weirdly choreographed scene
It's supposed to look weird and awkward. The point is that they're a bunch of stiff, uptight prudes who have no rhythm. 😁
weirdly awesome
@@edwardterry9468 yeah that makes sense lol
