Lol do you really think that lowly of women? Is she not in control of her own choices, her own decisions? Women have 100% agency in what happens to them. She knowingly participated 100% in her situation and is 100% the cause of where she is today. Why do you hate women so much? Probably should seek help for that...
Nah. She did all this to herself. The only thing that wasn't in her control was the cancer diagnosis. She keeps getting knocked up by a jailbird and allows another one to live with her and her vunerable kids.
For the first time i disagree with Dave. She cant just find another job, while 7 months pregnant and has cancer she needs to wait it out. Wait until the baby is born and until she gets her treatment. Once she gets the all clear from her doctor and depending on her husbands situation at that point she can look for another job closer to family. She is too pregnant to be trying to find a new job, move and get cancer treatment. Its just to much in a short amount of time plus no job is going to hire a women who is getting ready to go on leave. She needs to wait until she is medical clear from everything to even think about another job and moving. this may delay her a year or 2 depending but at least she wont miss any days at her new job.
Unfortunately your money doesn't care if your 9 months pregnant or if you have cancer with 3 kids. You will be homeless staying in shelters if you can't afford rent.

As someone who lives in an area of CA that she lives in, 1500 in rent for a home is nothing. If she moved back to Fremont that rent is only going to go up for a smaller place unless she moved in with family. Even then she wouldn't get paid family leave covered from a different job. Sorry I have to disagree with Daves advice on this. She should stay, also the fact her work is a mile away from her home means she doesn't need her car to commute which is a high possibility she would if she moved. Maybe she really just needs to reach out to her church for help or ask a family member to move up there. She could also ask her husband's friend for help with the tent while she goes through this next few months to years of treatment.
The problem with moving from Sacramento to Fremont is Fremont is much, much more expensive than Sacramento. Unless she can move in with family or gets money from them, Fremont is just not going to work. People move to Sacramento from places like Fremont precisely because it's so unaffordable.
I'm from Fremont. I agree. it's a lot more expensive than Sacramento. I wonder if she could live with her family while she goes through this stuff. Her situation is awful and it seems as if she has no support system in Sacramento.
@Charlene...Yes, exactly. I live in the Bay Area, too and we both know all too well what the rents and home prices are like here! Moving in with family would probably be the best option, if possible. If not, she's probably better off staying in Sacramento.
I realize this is over 2-years-old and I hope the caller is doing well and this is all behind her. I don't agree with telling her to change jobs and move at 7-months pregnant. Her family only lives about an hour away. That would be just across town in some places (such as the Houston area where I live). If she already has insurance at her current place of employment, why should she give that up and possibly have to find new doctors with only 2 months until delivery? It's possible that her family is not entirely healthy or functional. And sure, anyone can end up with a bad partner, but people who come from families that aren't very healthy themselves are particularly at risk of it. But who knows, maybe it's something small like her parents are a little pushy but overall OK.

This is an example of someone who needs welfare, at least until the baby is born and through chemo, subsidized housing, WIC, TANF she needs to talk to a social worker.
if she goes that route she'll never get out of it. welfare and all those entitlements are built and designed to keep you on it. she's better off without it. it's a garbage system.
@@Kharmatos13 when my daughter was born we got food stamps, medicaid, and a daycare voucher. A year or so in we lost the food stamps due to making too much money. Truly , I love hearing success stories like you ! Congrats ! However, it seems like ur the rare exception . My former bestie from HS has 4 kids & wants another 1. Once she got on welfare , she was hooked & now makes all kinds of excuses as to why she can’t work , even tho she’s only 45 & totally ablebodied. When her current hubby was in prison , she was taking the cash she could get from her benefits & from dummies like me who was none the wiser & putting them in what she called “his books/commissary bc he lost wt in prison & he needs to eat !” Ugh - taking from what should have went to her kids ! Anyway, he’s out - he works , she won’t , still bumming others for kindness of others & knows she has it too good . Thanks for sharing ur success story :) I wish shiftless perpetual self made victims can learn from u.
her husband must have did something really bad...2-3 years to never? she needs a divorce. also here husband's friend is living with them??!! birds of a feather flock together! she needs to take her kids and get out of that situation asap...move back with family. this girl is a hot mess!
Holy moly im never gonna complain again. She is amazing! Im always amazed at a human beings ability to pull through hard times. She sounds so positive. God willing she is doing great and pulled through the cancer ok
She can't just move her job is providing her with paid leave/fmla and insurance to cover her next 2-3 months when she delivers the baby & cover cancer treatment costs. She has 2 pre-existing conditions. If she takes a new job it won't be protected.
I'll admit it's complicated with her due in just a couple months but I think she could follow Dave's advice and go on Medicaid. It's actually easier for her to get if she's unemployed.
I agree with you. She's better off staying with her job in Sacramento if they are going to give her paid maternity leave and cover her medical bills. Sarah should turn to her church for help in this difficult time. Even with family, she may be worse off in Fremont. Fremont is located in the SF Bay Area which has one of the highest costs of living in the country. The average cost to rent a studio apartment in the East Bay ($2000+) makes her mortgage on a 4BR house in Sacramento look like a bargain.
She can't move while pregnant with a steady job and 2 kids. It's expensive to move. Renting a house for $1300 is good. Apartments are even more. Family is probably not too helpful which is why she's so independent and strong.
She mentioned her kids have their own rooms and unless she's sleeping with that "husband's friend" she mentioned, that means that her place has 4 bedrooms. At $1500/month, that's good for CA, but she's definitely got to to downsize. 5 minutes on Google brings up 2-bedroom rentals in her city for as low as $600.
minuteman madison She just doesn't see that yet. As a mother we care about our children's hearts always, first. That's why we are the ones to rush to dad and ask him not to be so harsh on our child. All she can see at this point is they've lost their father (figuratively), and she doesn't want them to lose their home too. She's fearful all of the instability will flip them completely upside down. She'll get there she sounds smart. I really do wonder what he did though 2 years to a lifetime sentence sounds severe.
2/26/20....She mentioned wanting each kid to have his own bedroom. Isn't that Hollyweird unicorn rudiculous making $17./ hr...with 2 boys 1 pg...+ having cancer....+ having hubby in jail waiting for trial. Not to mention hubby has "friend" living there to "help pay the rent".... BUNCH IF BAD CHOICES!
I would like to hear a follow up of this lady. She's so strong! A lot of TV shows have Where Are They Now segments, and I'd like to hear this one. She needs a church that has a HUGE following so there are people in place to help this woman. Cooking for the kids, delivering meals to them all, once the baby comes, cleaning house, doing laundry, making school lunches for the kids, transportation.....etc. lots of ways to help out. Good Lord!!!
My advice is to move on from the dude. 3 years or life!? He’ll be of no service to you and your children. He made choices that are negatively impacting your lives. Don’t be foolish and stick around for him. Move on and if he’s got any decency in him he’ll tell you to do the same thing too. I stuck around for a guy in jail and I regret it.
+Robert Bell Yeah, giving a child their own room is a totally modern invention in the last generation or two, and even so doesn't exist in most countries. And I don't just mean poor countries - most of my European cousins shared bedrooms even with parents who were, e.g., an engineer, and even when they had the money to do renos on their kitchen. They just thought it was silly for a child to have a separate bedroom.
Yea calm down, child. She is just another single mother that had kids with a loser. Nothing special about her. If your heart is bleeding maybe you need to call a doctor?
It's really hard to sympathize with her when she pushes back on Dave's advice by countering "I've always been independent".. independence is great but it's also more expensive than being dependent. With a 35k salary, which is barely enough to feed 1 mouth, and her about to have 4 mouths to feed on her own she needs to face the reality that her situation has forfeited her precious independence.
Why You Have An Emergency Fund And Stay On Top Of Your Finances: Exhibit A. Lady did about everything right up till this truck dumped a whole ton of disappointment on her. She's in as good a spot as anyone could reasonably hope for given these circumstances. God bless her. Hope her family and congregation can help her out.
DOUBLE STANDARD DAVE Reverse the roles, and the husband says " My wife's friend is renting a room" guarantee his response would be 360° different to this.
"2-3 years or never coming home" that rules out all kinds of "silly stuff". He is in on something really big and that's also the reason you really cannot (/ don't want to)talk about his arrest. My lady, we don't need to know more and it's time for you to take care of yourself and move on without this guy...you are awesome to have taken the bull by the horn. Hope it all works out for you. You are better off living in Sac versus Fremont. Rents in Fremont is atleast double i.e if you are extremely lucky (welcome to SFO Bay Area).
"A little bit of a situation" and the she proceeds to spout out a damn country song, add the truck is being repossessed and its a hit. She is impressive in what she has already done, and how she is holding it all together.

Hahaha I stopped at “unless”
It’s fun only until something happens to you and you then realize you’re on your own and he’s gone.
This is an example of someone who needs welfare, at least until the baby is born and through chemo, subsidized housing, WIC, TANF she needs to talk to a social worker.
strcd I agree but she might make too much.
if she goes that route she'll never get out of it. welfare and all those entitlements are built and designed to keep you on it. she's better off without it. it's a garbage system.

@@Kharmatos13 when my daughter was born we got food stamps, medicaid, and a daycare voucher. A year or so in we lost the food stamps due to making too much money. A couple years later we lost the daycare voucher due to making too much money. A year after that we lost the medicaid due to making too much money. We now own our own home have 4 cars without payments and we have 3 rental properties. It's all about what you're made of my friend.
It's A Mom Blog Sarah is ratchet and ghetto. Wow the situation she is putting her children through is disgusting
@@arazoisabelladoyenne2888 you're unbelievable.
Drug crime. Drug laws hurt more than they help.
And get fixed!
And I am worried about 20k of debt being single and no kids
You should. Someone having it worst doesn’t mean you’re in a fine situation.
Holy moly im never gonna complain again. She is amazing! Im always amazed at a human beings ability to pull through hard times. She sounds so positive. God willing she is doing great and pulled through the cancer ok
I worry about $15,000 in debt. GEESH! I'd be heavily medicated in her position. GOD BLESS HER!
I worry about 7k in debt, but I am low income.
She said $500 in debt
She can't just move her job is providing her with paid leave/fmla and insurance to cover her next 2-3 months when she delivers the baby & cover cancer treatment costs. She has 2 pre-existing conditions. If she takes a new job it won't be protected.
That is what I was thinking. she would have a tough time getting hired 7 months pregnant because obviously she will be having to take leave.
depends if her job even gave her health insurance.
The average cost to rent a studio apartment in the East Bay ($2000+) makes her mortgage on a 4BR house in Sacramento look like a bargain.
well said, I agree with you.
this woman is a force to be reckoned with. If she can make it out in life after all this, nothing will ever stop her to move forward.
She can't move while pregnant with a steady job and 2 kids. It's expensive to move. Renting a house for $1300 is good. Apartments are even more. Family is probably not too helpful which is why she's so independent and strong.
God bless you woman , sincerely hope you get through with the situation
Buahahahahaa .....I knew someone would bring up the Husband's friend.
Check your pulse because you might be lacking a heart
2/26/20....She mentioned wanting each kid to have his own bedroom.
Isn't that Hollyweird unicorn rudiculous making $17./ hr...with 2 boys 1 pg...+ having cancer....+ having hubby in jail waiting for trial. Not to mention hubby has "friend" living there to "help pay the rent".... BUNCH IF BAD CHOICES!
Hope everything improves 5000% for you. I can’t imagine having to deal with all that.
"Mother Mode" is the best mode for Sarah to be in..mother's do whatever they have to for their children. God bless her!
I love how supportive and non judgmental Dave is. The advice to get help from the church is excellent. But Dave, how much do you think rent is?!
God bless this lovely lady. I wish her good health and happiness.
Man I will never complain again. This is so heartbreaking and she sounds so courageous. She reall should be close to family.
Good job Sarah keeping yourself out of debt while all of this is happening. God bless you!!
It's been three years, I wonder if the cancer ended up getting her. did her husband ever get out of prison, where are the kids?
I will pray for this lady and her family, seems like such a lovely woman. Hope everything works for her and her family.
Sending her love! She’s a survivor ! If she’s on YT I hope she gives us an update! I’m in the Bay Area it’s so expensive. What a strong woman.
Of course, send him a nice card with birthday wishes once a year.
Amazingly brave lady - thank you for sharing. Wish her and her kids all the best 👍👍👍
Kids don't "need" their own room. My parents had 5 kids. We have always loved in a 2 bed/1bath duplex.
jessi gut 5 kids Jesus Christ.
jessi gut 5 kids in one room is kinda tight.
dog person 😂😂😂
+Robert Bell Yeah, giving a child their own room is a totally modern invention in the last generation or two, and even so doesn't exist in most countries. And I don't just mean poor countries - most of my European cousins shared bedrooms even with parents who were, e.g., an engineer, and even when they had the money to do renos on their kitchen. They just thought it was silly for a child to have a separate bedroom.
They need two good parents.
Roof over their head and a place to sleep.
Food and water. Some clothing.
Everything else is optional.
She seems so positive in such a tough situation. I hope she is doing better now.
Awww do you keep in touch with people? I’d love to know how Sarah is doing now.
What hard things to go through. She sounds amazing! I'd love to hear an update on how she is doing.
God bless this woman. What a tough situation to be in. I really hope everything works out for her.
How are you?
“I’m better then I deserve”
Love that!! Can’t wait to say it 🤗
My heart just bleeds for her. God keep this woman in perfect peace.
Yea calm down, child.
She is just another single mother that had kids with a loser.
Nothing special about her.
If your heart is bleeding maybe you need to call a doctor?
So he was obviously doing something illegal to support their lifestyle. Who just "gets incarcerated"?
Hope she’s getting through this. If ever there is someone that deserves a good outcome it’s this.
She’s very brave. I hope things are better for her and her kids now.
She needs to protect her and her children first .....
And make decisions based on only that.....
Easy to say....
She had a bad taste in men
It's really hard to sympathize with her when she pushes back on Dave's advice by countering "I've always been independent".. independence is great but it's also more expensive than being dependent.
Anax of Rhodes
I think that dump truck was already at 45 degrees and the gate half open way long before this.
This man is providing an invaluable service to the community.
Wish we could call her back and check back on her!
Best wishes to this young lady. She’s in a tough situation. 🙏 for u and your family.
She seems so sweet. I hope everything will workout good for her.
"There is nothing wrong with letting people who love you, help you." - Iroh
May god bless you Sarah! This shall also pass!
She sounds very hopeful and uplifting for someone in this position. I pray she is ok.
For those who think they got it hard. Take note!!!
Adam Adam her cancer was caught early, I think with treatment she will be find. The rest was her poor choices.
@@user-qr7eb1sf3l Her husband getting arrested and being pregnant were somehow her poor choices? How..?
This is one of those where I hope/wish there's an update.
Quit dating bad boys
I’m a fully grown man and I almost teared up. She is such a fighter, beautiful woman inside for sure.
This just came up as a suggested video for me (Nov '17). I'd really love to hear a follow-up on how this young lady is doing.
Everyone has a opinion about other peoples lives.............how about we pray instead
Jessica Moran pray?
Thoughts and prayers work like a champion.
Unless you are willing to cough up or invite her into your home, what's the alternative?
Ladies, if your man goes to jail, leave him. Especially if he has kids because he obviously doesn't care about them.
women love bad boys, you know this!
JonO387 Good point bc he clearly didnt think about the consequences of his actions. He may never get out? Thats done.
JonO387 not true. Anybody can change
Jessica Brown change for the worse.
What did he do? Almost anyone can get a dui.
DOUBLE STANDARD DAVE
Reverse the roles, and the husband says " My wife's friend is renting a room" guarantee his response would be 360° different to this.
This woman will be blessed tenfold. She just gotta keep hanging in there.
"A little bit of a situation" and the she proceeds to spout out a damn country song, add the truck is being repossessed and its a hit.
She is impressive in what she has already done, and how she is holding it all together.
What an amazing lady. So inspiring and I hope she has come to the place in life she deserves.
Sarah is handling this well. I am proud of her dealing with childcare and work and debt control on top all this?
Correction: two little boys and an adult child who just went to prison. Financial Peace is a great idea, learning how to make life choices would certainly help. That's not "judgement" that is reality.
