Amazing song of great value so amazing tree and Nature but most of all so amazing singing and Song Luka you one of a kind sticking to your beliefs thank you
What keeps a person grounded? Despair and loss and also the love of something that connects you to nature. Luka is someone, like John O'Donohue, that comes out of the Burren landscape to whisper the wisdom of the heart's self.
Wow! The recording and production of this song is as lush as your friend the Oak Tree. What a moving song, Great video. Looking forward to your album release.
Soaringly beautiful and moving, Luka. I am thankful, in these devastating times here in the States, to find refuge and comfort in your new music. Be well, do well.
merci beaucoup Barry Cette chanson est magnifique et depuis l'Onion field, ta musique n'a pas pris une ride. c'est toujours un bonheur de t'écouter. je t'embrasse fort Anne ( Dublin 1985...)
This is so precious, thank you! I came upon a Spiral Tree at a wooded park recently, only to realize it is actually two trees grown one 'round the other in an embrace. I also noticed that one of the trees is deceased. So, did they sprout as twin seeds with one eventually failing to thrive? Or did the living tree enfold the other as it began to wither? I have placed my palm on each of them and felt a life pulse energy exuding. I found you here though because I'm writing a children's book, and I'm presently in search of a tree-related melody for a mysterious, magical music box that happens to have been whittled in the form of an ancient Oak. The music box is the key to revealing a map in the Compendium of Tree, a grand book of Tree lore spanning all of Tree time, which is rooted in a community of sentient trees in a wood called Firefly Fernglen. I'll carry on looking for my music box melody, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for this glorious song of yours. It does cause me to miss my newfound Spiral Tree friends, though. I shall have to visit them again soon. Also, thank you for this renewed and welcome sense of import I feel in attending to the writing of my book I first conceived of last year. The Tree People thank you, too. I suspect I've nearly exhausted their patience with me. 🙂
Question/ suggestion to Luka Bloom --> I've always thought you should work with Mirjam Timmer sometime. She is the singer of the Dutch folk band "Twarres". Mirjam has written great songs and collaborated with Jim Kerr of the Simple Minds. She accompanies herself with acoustic guitar and has a lot of experience performing. I'm not her manager nor a family member :-) Just a big fan of her music and yours. I think both your and her songs have the same underlying atmosphere. Here's a link to a documentary about her. I'm sure such a collaboration could lead to a couple of nice pieces of art.. ua-cam.com/video/HBjupbk2zR0/v-deo.html Also: ua-cam.com/video/mXsja0ODytg/v-deo.html
