Junk Removal Company Starts a Resale Shop?
Вставка
- Опубліковано 6 бер 2023
- You would be shocked what some people are willing to throw away! And with the remaining shop space we have, we are considering a resale shop?? Worth the time, or better to just keep things moving by trashing it and moving on? They say time is money. Tell me what you think in the comments!
I used to resell broken appliances I fixed that were in decent shape. Refrigerators are often discarded simply for being dirty. It takes labor to clean them up but you can make some extra cash reselling to landlords.
Ah, landlords! Smart
most refrigerators that go bad it's a $30 thermostat to replace. 15 minutes later plus a little cleaning and it's good as new.
I used to trash out foreclosures and would occasionally sell stuff I would find. I hated throwing perfectly good used stuff in the landfill but I just didn't have time to jack around with it. Probably threw $1,000s into landfill. Unfortunately I quit the business before "Stuff etc." opened in my town. Could have doubled my profits.
Anyway, my advice is to find a good consignment store, drop off the resellable items and let them sell it. You'll still make money and you can focus on other things.
I'm able to sell quite a bit from my junk removals beyond scrap. Piles of $1-10 items add up quick at the flea market and bigger items move quick on FB if you price it cheap.
Yea, marketplace is just a 24hr garage sale. I love it
Have a friend that does the resale of his dumpster finds and does a good job opening only two Saturdays a month. Good luck.
That's awesome to hear! Thanks!
I hate the words "jealousy" and "envious" but let me tell you...dang it. I need to step my game up.
Nah, don't look at it that way! I see dudes make one real estate deal and make the same income I make all year hustling my tail off. It's easy to feel that way, but my journey isn't going to be the exact same as others. Use me as more of a guide. Not everything I do works for everyone because every market is different, but hopefully, it can spark an idea that takes your niche to another level. This was a "glorified" video. As you will notice in most of my content, it's just me testing different aspects of my business or showing you the stuff that goes bad. None of it is get rich quickly. I'm still trying to figure it all out myself, and I'm just documenting the journey. Keep grinding, man!
Keep the content coming! Something to possibly look into. Call your local scrap yard and see if they will drop you a scrap dumpster for you to fill up. I have one from my local scrap yard. Frees up your dumpster, less fuel and they still pay you for the scrap
I would set up the area and try it out... but I don't know about the weekend only part. I would still advertise the stuff on Facebook market place and probably do it by also appointment during the week so you don't have to staff it for the weekend so it works out for your schedule and advaliablity.
I just scored a torque motor for a brand new John Deere tractor on my last scrapping job. The guy said to ignore that it was brand new and just get rid of it…… what!!!??
Rightttt, so crazy what people toss sometimes
The dump out here charges $30 each appliance and the scrap yard only takes refrigerators for free
Yep, but nice to scrap them for a few dollars and save the fees!
You can put alot of your finds in a flea market have your own booth. People working there deal with all your customers and you don't have answer is this still available all the time on marketplace. Sure they get a commission but their doing most the work
Ah, so true. I love that

If you want to take the time you could tear down dryers for goodies.
You won’t always find something but I’ve found money, jewelry, unmentionables, etc.
I've heard some guys doing that! I need to try one or two, just to see
