Thanks for a great video. This reinforces my decision to start with a Hooklift truck vs a trailer. My delivery yesterday was in a sloped driveway off a tight street with cars parked in the street. Truck and trailer, I’d still be out there trying to back it in 😅! Keep hustling my dude! #littlejunkers #rolloff #dumpsterrental #junkhaul
I have the same trailer in the 20ft version, couldn’t tell in the video but the trailer engine needs to run at min 2400rpm so the clutches engage fully. My trailer squeaks like that too when pulling up dumpsters. Nice setup, good job on the decals, best of luck to you guys.
do you take the tarp arms off? why do you do that? i have a Nedlands trailer setup. i understand your new at this however your motor should be revved up more. your hydraulics seem very slow. that can't be good. and what i squeaking? wow. something is not right there. maybe something needs some grease. i am mostly wondering about the tarp arms. why are you removing them?
Good call! So much to learn. I’ll test it tomorrow with the motor revved up higher. We broke a tarp arm off. Still waiting on parts. Maybe we should grease the sides of the rails?
We can lift concrete cans yes. We’re more limited by the total weight of both truck and trailer to stay under cdl for the time being. We can put 5 tons in the dumpster and be legal.
One tip I watch somewhere was that pull the dumpster up all the way until the pivot point so you don't put stress on the hydraulics and hinges
Great input. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes a hook lift is ideal. I can’t wait to get rid of this trailer and upgrade to a truck. Paying my dues now but looking forward for sure.
A little grease on those rails should eliminate that squealing. My wife said, “ what are you watching!?”😂

Thank you so much! Do you grease your rails at all? Maybe it’ll help if we grease the sides of the rails?
How much weight is that hydraulic rated for,can you lift concrete cans or strictly trash?
What brand trailer is that? I have been trying to find a used standard rail trailer but have been unsuccessful so far.
Ours is made by Protainer. Try checking auctions like Ritchie bros. They’re nationwide.
What happened with the tarp arm? my guess would be the chain was underneath it!
You called it. We just released the video explaining it. Lesson learned :)
$500 repair
How mush you ask for that load??
I want to get into this what do you recommend? What size is that green dumpster?
I’d recommend getting a hook lift truck and avoid the trailer altogether.
What is the size of the dumpster you using ?
20 cubic yards. It seems to be the main size people ask for.
