On my MX5, I can almost lock up the rear tire with the thumb regen lever. I actually like it a lot. I've run down entire steep trails on the lever only and not touching the brakes. Not sure why there is a difference between yours and mine. I agree tires are trash, but the bike is a huge improvement over my MX4.
Hi. Tommy from Italy. Do u think it's better for me to buy a Talaria Sting 4000 with some upgrades (anterior fork, riser, manubrio larger, 16-19" wheels with some Pirelli's tyres, the cover for the mud to protect the posterior suspension, the long "tale", the range battery extender) or to buy directly the 5500 and wait? Same price. The 5500 have some huge improvements in breaking, looking at online reviews...Thanks! Hope you can suggest me
I know, why film a stock MX5 on a trail like this? Lol. It makes it seem like the Bike sucks, its just super tough terrain for stock wheel/tire combo EBike's. You basically need a 21/18 or 19/16 wheel setup to get that wider & thicker tire for the better grip and resist pinch flats, and add Rim Locks. Even then this seems like a trail id actually rather have my gas dirtbike or a bigger bike like the Ultra Bee, etc like he mentioned in the video.
I agree with your statement, but also important to keep in mind its much easier to feel what a bike does good and what it does bad in terrain like this during the testing phase.
Pros and cons. Altis has the largest swing arm and weighs 185lbs. This is going to make it not blend in as well as the talaria. However, it is much faster than the talaria. If you’re trying to be lowkey get the talaria but if you got some bread and aren’t afraid of cops get the altis.
@@chazcarpenter1559 The Altis only advantage over the MX-5 is a bigger battery. The Altis only disadvantages to the MX-5 are difficulties removing the battery and its friends with Porky Pig. *Altis for SuperMoto. *MX-5 for Off-Road.
First off, great video. Could you put in your 2 cents on the MX5 with 2k of add ons such as a second/bigger battery vs stock Ultra Bee for trail riding? The weights of the 2 bikes put them in a more similar category than the Eride Pro.
Weight definitely puts them closer together however the size quite a bit different. The ideal upgrades for us always comes down to Suspension and wheels. The rest of the bike is quite good. The rear shock is a direct bolt on of existing suspension like the EXT Arma, however the front forks are a different spec. The new generation of bikes like the E Ride Pro SR and the Altis Sigma will also be running this new spec so we are pushing aftermarket hard to catch up quickly.
@@ChargedCycleWorks hard to believe there is much difference in wheel rim size prices. Maybe the tire cost or something? Just always seems like a shame to end up with all these spare 19" wheels lol.
