- The cultural impact of their music and the fascinating story of Kurt Cobain and its other members.
2007 American Documentary Music Film
Very few bands have had a musical and social impact on the world; however, in their short but monumental career, Nirvana certainly did both. Kurt Cobain's songs continue to influence a whole new generation of musicians. Featuring unique interviews with Leland Cobain, Kurt's grandfather, who helps build a fascinating personal profile of a tortured genius; these never-before-seen family recollections are complemented by a never-before-seen interview with Tommy Udo, rock journalist and close friend of Cobain and the rest of the band. The film includes stunning footage of the band in action, both in concert and in the studio.
Nirvana was an American rock band formed in Aberdeen, Washington, in 1987. Founded by singer and guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic. The band's success popularized alternative rock, and they were often referred to as the front band of Generation X. Their music maintains a popular following and continues to influence modern rock culture. Nirvana is one of the best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide. During their three years as a headlining act, Nirvana received an American Music Award, a Brit Award and a Grammy Award, as well as seven MTV Video Music Awards and two NME Awards. They scored five number one hits on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart and four number one albums on the Billboard 200. In 2004, Rolling Stone named Nirvana among the 100 greatest artists of all time. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in their first year of eligibility in 2014.

Nirvana's music will always be a big part of my life and millions of others. .Anyone interested check out the documentary "When Nirvana Came To Britain"..
God bless you Kurt Cobain..
I was a young mother when they were at the very top and my husband was never into the music (now he likes a little of it 36 yrs later😂), but I regret not seeing them live. Ever since I saw a cute little guy singing in a gym w goth cheerleaders I've been inlove and heart broken! Love you always Kurt!
These people can't see the obvious.this documentary even points out that Courtney would step over anyone to get what she wants.ironically he was seeking divorce ,so she has him offed to get the treasure.this documentary steers clear of her actions leading up to his death.i dont think he tried suicide in Rome,i think she tried to kill him in Rome.....
This needs more likes
Gosh, not a dry eye in the building here ❤❤
Who's the band playing throughout this?! Fricken' great!
Not even listed in the credits! 😭😞😭
Is the art of Kurt for sale?
That’s s lie Kurt never attempted suicide ever
yes he did several times. the last one he was successful.
I agree ....lots a misinformation on here
@@erictobias7 what makes you an authority on the subject?
@@scooterruns9355 i never said i was an authority, how about doing some research and decide for yourself what you think based on the research... Not this documentary.
@@erictobias7 what's the source of your "research" there professor?
His grandfather changed his story from another documentary I watched from drawing Donald Duck to Goofy 🙃 to prove Kurt could draw.
I'll tell you this despite all the evidence that indicates that he was murdered. The one thing that no one mentions that I think about more than any is why would he commits suicide in a room that no one ever goes to in that house hardly ever. why would he leave a suicide note in a room that no one's ever going to find him. I would go in my most comfy spot.
Uhh maybe he didn’t want to leave a mess in his family’s home?? Maybe he assumed he’d be found eventually but wanted to make sure there was no way anyone would save him? Idk?? People do all kinds of things you wouldn’t do, all the time. Not that hard to understand
what evidence is there he was murdered? lets hear one shred of hard evidence for foul play that would hold up in a court room
What suicide note? Oh you mean the one Courtney read that really was about breaking Nirvana up. Not killing himself.
@@scooterruns9355how he was able to pick up a heavy ass shotgun under a hard influence of dope and blow his brains out. And I don't wanna hear 'oh he had a high tolerance for dope.' The size that he was and the massive dose of heroin that was found his tox report is the hard evidence. The Seattle police are like the cops on the Andy Griffith show. They did no real investigation. They saw him on the floor dead with a shotgun and automatically declared it a suicide.
A UA-camr is trying to get the case reopened and I hope they do so Courtney and Kurt's killer go to prison and rot in there.
I don't know if anybody mention this but all the songs that are playing am I crazy or is Kurt seeing a lower key then the normal key
They often tuned down to E flat live, so yes.
Yeah, they'd drop it for kurts voice often, frequent bronchitis and laryngitis
This is a nice doc. The only thing I don't get is, why did they use a cover band for filler? They had great originals and interviews in it. So, why???
Copyright infringement
@@brianhartline1197but what about the live shows? If it was for copyright why do those not count? And even then why not just use those instead of doing a cover. I can’t stand the covers honestly it was weak and sounded kinda bad. I just don’t understand why they did that yk?
Yeah who were they, even?! Not even credited... I thought they were great.
I know he brought small band he liked for unplugged. I think they had to pick a ft. They wanted someone more famous but kurt didint care
8:12. He bit every riff
Singing not seeing sorry doing voice messaging
Next we have three fine young men from Seattle. They’re coming, hold on they’re coming. They’re thoroughly all right and decent fellows. Here they are… Nirvana
the remaining members of Nirvana can't stand people like you.
I think he overdosed. Now, that in itself is a form of s...
Kurt was Murdered the end
Absolutely not got learn smth about him instead of saying crap
@@punkrockisfreedomtoo many discrepancies in the suicide theory yo be a open shut case of suicide, you can do research and decide for yourself!
@@Ludeguy83 Noone has to research anything since everybody has Tom Grant's bullshit to repeat. Which is what everyone does anyway. Tom Grant made up a neat story, with a bunch of flimsy evidence, to capitalize on a tragedy, because he is a fucking bottom feeder. That's all.
@@thestinkycheeseman2208 forget about tom grant... you can do your own research, without using his.
@@Ludeguy83 There is no other evidence. I've been over this a thousand times. There's nothing that says it's anything besides a suicide...
Kurt was murdered. Courtney got away with it.
This makes me think more that Kurt faked his death
Yeah, him and Elvis are holed up in a cave somewhere.
@@pooky1959 what makes you think kurts dead. There's a lot that makes me think he faked his death
@@briancannon3987 , well the body examined by the medical examiner for one. The police etc that found him. You think he paid all those people off to keep quiet and you think they can all keep a secret for 30 years??😂
@@pooky1959 all those ppl? It's like 4
@@pooky1959 what about the chief n medical examiner both retiring rich before their time. No pension. It's really doable when u plan it since 92
