Oh my God I love it! Mine is in the mail right now. Please hurry up!
The Heritage is my favorite layout and design for the ESV! I purchased the ESV Heirloom Heritage in Prussian blue from Schuyler/Evangelical Bible and I love it. I was between the Prussian blue vs. the Wellington, and I sometimes wish I had chosen the Wellington instead, though I'm still very happy with the Prussian blue. There's a significantly more affordable ESV TruTone Heritage coming out in February 2024 if you don't wish to purchase a premium Bible.
Looks great! Looking forward though to the $30 non-premium Heritage text block coming out in February from Crossway!
I didn't know they were. That's good news!
This is the most beautiful Bible I've ever seen
LOVE the opening music!
I would love an ESV Bible with the Heritage text block! Looks like it would be an amazing reading experience.
I love that Bible. I need an ESV.
Well, Wellington, that is a rather lovely Bible. 😉
love it
I really like this text block and especially for how it deals with footnotes. It has the full set of translator notes but it doesn't have cross-references other than the ones marking O.T quotes and parallel passages in the Gospels. Other translations should follow this model also.
For example, you can't get an NKJV or an NASB with a full set of translator footnotes without drowning them in a sea of cross-references. I'll use a computer app for cross-references which is a lot faster to work with but when I'm reading I always want the full set of translator notes without any trimming.
This text block is so nice for reading because it doesn't have all the cross-reference markers in the text.
Great Bible!
Looks nice! As others have said, pretty expensive… I do love the heritage single column format. Thanks, Tim Frisch.
For $350-375 might as well go for a Schuyler which is better imo and $100 less.
Beautiful bible and layout! I love the esv, just wish they started using upper case for referring to God.
Nice Bible, but too expensive. You can get just as good quality for quite a bit less.
I have been debating with myself about which ESV Bible to purchase - looking at the various formats offered from different Bible makers and settled on Crossway. I have mostly Crossway Bibles currently in the ESV. I want a new one for better note-taking ability and while I would like to have a reference edition, it's not offered in the single column reference I prefer. Your video is one of the final videos I've watched and it helped me to decide on the Crossway Heirloom Heritage, but now I'm conflicted whether to get the Wellington or stick with my usual Goatskin. Still, thanks for your review!
Nice Bible, but $321 is a lot of cash.
You can get %50 off direct through Crossway until the end of the year
!!!
Absolutely disturbing!
Looks to be at least a notch above Holman Handcrafted.
I thought Horween and Wellington were the same thing. Just one was the name of the leather and the other was the name of the company that produces the leather.
Horween and Wellington are from two different companies. But Horween is the name of the leather company itself, whereas Wellington leather I believe is produced by Cromwell (cf www.crossway.org/bibles/esv-heirloom-bible-heritage-edition-wl/)
