I agreewith you - Samsung does NOT listen to its customers. I attribute that to arrogance that will lead to their downfall. I see them giving up their throne to a company like Hisense.
Samsung NEVER listens to their customer base! Even with their flagship phones... For years, customers begged them for larger batteries, wider width on their foldable phones, fsster charging speeds (on par with rival phone companies), a headphone jack, an IR blaster.... and what has Samsung done for the past 4 years?? They've given us NONE Zof those things!!!
You do realize audio enthusiasts want headphones Jack's because auxiliary is cleaner than Bluetooth right? I literally converted the usb c port to auxiliary for this reason.
They should have just made two versions. S95F Glossy and S95FM Matt. That way people can chose for them selves and avoid the complaints. Looking Sharp Q😎
I saw Caleb Dennison’s review of the S95D and at the end of the video, he sent a message to Samsung not to bring back the matte finish. Pretty sure that happened.
Where are the sizes for the normal consumer? It seems all these companies are showing off their 100 inch Plus models. Thats not really a reality for alot of people buying.
Thinking about cancelling my order for the s90D 77" in favor of the TCL 8 series 75" screen. Both are the same price. I got the s90d for 1495 shipped to my door. No way I will buy a matt finished screen. I hated Samsung and moved to apple phones due to the "curved" screens that crack when looked at sideways. No case could protect them, and I despised their design from day one. It took years for Samsung to ditch the design, and I am now an Apple user that likely won't switch back...ever. Still rocking my 2012 Panasonic 65vt60 television. Still has incredible imaging for a 1080P set that is 40,000 hrs runtime old.
I just wanted to tell u I have a samsung s90c and I have turn off software updates off. Well just right now it updated it self even though it is turned off. That really upsets 😡 me
Wow really? I got the notice on my QN90C but it hasn’t updated. It shows the new version is there but gotta be careful not to accidentally hit update when it pops up on screen 🎉
yeh it is weird they chose to sale upcoming models like this. And it is a choice, because in a recent interview the guy from Samsung Display highlighted that the panels are NOT manufactured that way, they send them out as clear screens.
The thing I think that Samsung is betting on is just ignorance. Most people won’t know that a matte finish effects contrast that much. I consider myself to be very well, educated and very well-versed in TV technology now since being a part of the membership here but even that was something that I didn’t know about until you clearly explained why you should’ve went for the S90D in 2024 before the update that screwed it up and that’s exactly what I did and why I did it. So from their corporate standpoint, they’re probably thinking people will hear the words anti-glare and think that’s a good thing. They are probably wanting to cater to the lowest common denominator/the masses then the educated/enthusiast which is such a shame because before they did put out the update the S90D is the most beautiful TV I’ve ever seen and I’m very glad that I own it with your calibration standards to show why! It sucks that they’ve taken this approach because this is how companies begin to fail and their downfall will be no one‘s fault but their own!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Flat boring screen. My guess is Samsung Marketing got opinions from the general public as the thought of gloss means prints and cleaning. Samsung seems to be persistent not listening to those who matter. Just like the curved large TV mistake. Awesome that you speak your mind and I am thankful for that!!
Bro imagine if TCL or Hisense rolled out their Oleds. It would be so over for LG and Samsung. Any idea why they haven’t done that yet? I’m sure they’d sell like hotcakes. Budget, but premium Oleds. Imagine
im really tempted to sell off my s90d and get an hisense to be honest at this point after what u said about it. and probably my last samsung tv im gonna buy since they screwed my tv with an update and now this... i used to like samsung but the more i experience it the more i regret my s90 specially after the update that screw my purchase. but ill remember when new tvs come out and samsung ill be looking at other companys who actially care about giving customers good product and listens to complaints instead of doubling down on it.
What a disappointment! I was all set to go all in on the Samsung this year. Phone, TV, Soundbar etc. but after They Nerfed their S90d snd now this. Im out. Probably never going back to Samsung.
Never understood why Samsung sticks to no Dolby Vision? One can argue the pros or cons of it and if its even implemented right but to have budget brands carry the feature along with their main competitors and in return shy away from it is baffling.
if they anti-glare did not sell well, they wouldn't have launched it on every tv. clearly people want it and you can still buy glossy screens from other brands.
@@Quantum_TV but Dolby vision is over hyped. The best looking 4k Blu Rays released do not even come with DV and it still blows you away, that should tell you something. Side by side comparisons show DV is not always the best presentation, we talking about maybe a 5% difference at most to the picture anyways? panel quality is way more important
Idk, the matte black finish is trash, but if the S90F really does have a 30% increase in brightness in a 10% window.. It has the 3rd gen processor from the S95D as well. IF... it doesnt also carry over that terrible Extreme Thermal throttle in the 10% window like the s95D has... well, im all in.
Hey Q!!! Still got my s95b from day 1, was thinking of replaceing it as it about 4 or 5 years old. With gaming in mind what is absolute best tv out? Please and thank you.
Me too ! Still with my S95B since 2022 ! And still enjoying it 100% ! 🤩👌 But this TV is only 2 years old+ not 4-5… or you mean you will change when your S95B will be 4-5 years old ? For my part I will change my S95B when PS6 will shows its official specs, and when HDMI 2.2 will be on new TVs I guess 🤔
Quantum, are you going to review s90f. After you review would you recommend me just buy s90d even though there was nerf on the contrast or just buy the new s90f
In fact, to see a real breakthrough in motion clarity TVs should be at least 480hz. I have an LG C1 and with the BFI on at 120hz it looks much less blurry on motion than any other current TV.
I was listening to people talk about how good it was and i was curious so i watched the video and in the video you can see the crappy matte making that screen look like an ips screen. It was really funny. I think was the avs forum video

Dude nobody wants a headphone jack and ir blaster on their phone. What are you blabbering about?....
@@Sir_Mack headphone jack is one of the most request feature that people want back on their smart phone
@MrHenriksan it maybe for you but I've never heard anyone asking for it lol. Headphone jacks??? Let it go man those days are long gone lol

Exactly bro. Thanks man😁👍
The inventory will be messed up Q
One of ex-samsung employee sad: we was not allowed to say matte screen, instead must use term anti glare technology.
Brother, you nailed it…again. And Samsung’s customer service sucks big time.
I saw Caleb Dennison’s review of the S95D and at the end of the video, he sent a message to Samsung not to bring back the matte finish. Pretty sure that happened.
Regrettably, I must allocate my funds towards the 2026 models.
Where are the sizes for the normal consumer? It seems all these companies are showing off their 100 inch Plus models. Thats not really a reality for alot of people buying.
Exactly. It's all about the rich
I always thought semi-gloss was a good middle of the road filter technology.
It's simple.. As long as Samsung uses matte displays, I have absolutely no interest 🤷
"They're tone deaf on Dolby Vision" but you said DV doesn't matter
It doesn't. But people still want it so why not listen?
Dolby doesn't matter spec wise, but the name sales
Another day‚ another moment to remember why I do call them Scamsung.
As long as they continue to use matte panels, the S95 series seems to show itself from behind a curtain
Completely agree I was really excited about a non glare coated s95 and an 83 inch qd
Dude love the vids and sick suit
Glad to have you here. Thanks man

@MattyDaddy14 i got the notice i closed it but it did it automatically by itself.
I want a bigger tv, currently have 65" s95b which has been wonderful. Hopefully LG G5 is close enough to the color satuaration of the QD-OLEDS
But they did give us the next gen processor and better speakers.and 165 refresh for gamers like myself.
Purple rain!!
Great song
Hell yeah! Prince is so legendary! Little Red Corvette too!
Hi Q! What do you think of the new Hisense TVs and their rgb mini led technology being announced right now at CES?
I wouldn’t buy new tech in the first year out. Buy the second generation, so hopefully they got all the bugs fixed!
@ 👍🏼
🫡 I thought d same thing !!! Matte again !!! 😮

You’re absolutely correct. A lot of consumers gravitated toward the S95D for “glare free”
@@JoshRazauskas hey what did the update do? i have an s90 d but always kept it offline bcause i use it fir my pc as a display

I purchased S90D on 11/2/24 and have never updated. Was mine shipped with the nerf pre-installed?? **Firmware 1120**
Tryna use them left over panels from last year probably

What tv would you recommend from last year?
Waiting on TCL’s flagship 98” MiniLED this year. The big 3 have been disappointing so far…

Are the AI features coming to the S90D as well? Like Vision AI and such?
If Samsung doesn't get there act together President Trump will embargo there azzs.
Maybe they’re using it because it kinda hides imaging processing issues! 🤯
