That's a perfect food table for eating while driving on road trips! It's better than the console one in 2 ways. 1:) the way it slides to you so its closer to you, and 2) you can use it while driving. I don't think you can use the console work surface when driving because it requires the shifter to be in the down position which I don't think it will go in the down position while driving.
That work surface is the worst change ever made to the F250 trucks interiors. Its junk! Trying to figure out a good replacement for this option in my 2023
@johnpedro1981 2023 f150 here and I have the same problem. I've watched about 5 videos now and so far only 1 other video has had the work surface that barely pivots like the issues we're having. Makes me wonder if it's something changed by the parts supplier.
@briandowning5033 it's pitiful. Can't remember exactly how many, but the owners manual says there's around 7 or so locking positions each another 15°... sure don't seem like it on mine.
I was hoping that surface swung out and doubled the real estate to work on--I have a laptop and iPad that I use in tandem. Good to find out I should quit trying.
Someone please show me an option to change this thing. My 2024 company vehicle has this and its the most unusable POS ever. It only rotates like half that. I need cupholders not a dumb uncomfortable sliding tray
DO NOT BUY THIS FEATURE if you are ordering a new truck. Although all advertising on Ford's website shows it like the one in this video, starting in 2023 it no longer rotates the full amount. Only about 15 degrees.
You must be a Ford Dealer, because that Center Work Surface is the biggest piece of crap that Ford has ever produced... Give me a big hole where I can store some stuff & I'd be much happier... There's no room to even put a simple envelope in this truck, without lifting up the entire center, seat, and that ain't happening... If the company that bought this for for my work truck didn't give this to Mr for free, I'd never buy this truck, just because of this...
Thanks for demonstrating the Interior Work Surface features.
No problem sir! Subscribe to keep up with us!

You can opt for the standard column shifter like he has in the video so that it doesn't get in the way.

Have one in my work truck and hate it! Looking for videos on how to remove it.
Did u find anything because I'm trying to rove it also
Can I buy it?
@@donnyfiskwhat’s the reason?
Where can I order this???
How do you remove the whole sliding part? I want all of my cup holders at once
Mine only comes out about 15°. It definitely doesn’t pivot as far out as that! Does anyone else have this issue?
Same here. My 23 f250 with the work surface barely pivots at all and I'm about to break this thing off just to find it why not...

This is why I’m here. Mine doesn’t rotate much. 23 F350 xlt

@@devonlake206 yeah I’ve all but ripped it out and off. It doesn’t go any farther. Just enough to make you wish you got a regular console.
Is this removable?
This is the worst center console I’ve ever used in any vehicle period.
agreed. we have them on our fleet vehicles at work and 80% have some sort of pad taped or zip tied over them
Is there a cover to put over it?

Anyone know how to make the surface rotate like in the video? Mine doesn’t rotate near that far!
Same!

horribly uncomfortable
Does it go
All the way or only 45 degrees????
All the way flat!
I imagine the center console storage space is much less if you have this option? ?
I believe it is the same, we will double check!
Would love to have a confirmation that it is the same size

Can somebody give me the part numbers please!

I agree with you, Tom! - also have to move anything in the front cup holders to get the rear ones ( or the compartment )
It's a waste of usable space!
If anybody here removes theirs and wants to give it away I'd be interested
