I still watch these video's even after I completed my hm130max assembly. I also understand your frustration, For me it took several weeks to assemble with weather and my old sore bones. Working a little at the time then coming back to it days later after weather improved and knee joint flare up subsided. This was a Large and complex puzzle to put together, but well worth the effort. I wish I had sourced 20' foot angle and drilled my own holes, do away with splices/joints. Look at it this way, you were part of the frontier for Woodland. I Echo that Woodlands customer service is "Above" anything I have encountered elsewhere. My bolts were labeled, so that seems to be fixed. In the end I think it saws better than most are able or capable of reading a tape measure, if you get the track right.
Thanks for the great comment. The mill was a challenge getting everything figured out but once we did all went well. I agree on doing away with the splices and joints. I think it would be easier to stay true to level then. I enjoy my mill now and it has been a huge asset to our homestead. Thanks again.
Read the instructions. Very well done instruction manual. All the metric bolt lengths are described in each step very plainly. Get a metric tape measure and compare the bolt lengths as supplied.
Read them. All the nuts and bolts came in one big box. We separated them and measured them then put them in their own marked bag. In my opinion, when you spend this much money on something, the nuts and bolts could and should be separate and marked. Shouldn’t have to do that once it arrives. But that’s just my thoughts. Everyone has their own opinion. Overall, we are well pleased with the performance of the mill. It works great. 👍
awesome i have been watching your deck build and seen some of your video's with you guys sawing logs. i got the same one coming next week just wondering the torque wrench is it a 1/4 or 1/2 drive. i am getting one in the next couple days. love your video's keep them coming
Welcome to Creekside and always glad to make new friends. Happy you enjoy the channel. Congrats on your mill arriving soon. You will enjoy it for sure. We love milling. The torque wrench is a 1/2 inch. You will be very glad you bought it. Set it to 23 and you will never have a problem. Thanks again and have a great weekend. If we can be of any help when your mill arrives just let me know.
Thanks Willie. It wasn’t to bad. My brother only stayed to help set the mill head on the rails. He had a bunch of his own projects to do. But we appreciate every bit of help we get.
Our frontier sawmill came with the bolts all in separate bags and well marked. It was hard enough during assembly even with them being organized well.....tough doing assembly in your situation. it is coming together though. Also my mill head came MOSTLY assembled other than the top pulley system. Only mentioning this for reference for anyone inquiring. Best wishes
Thanks guys. The Frontier is a good option for sure. I think the problem with so many things we purchase now is they are all out-sourced from over seas some where and the attention to quality and common sense gets lost in the transactions. We got it together though and on to making some sawdust. Thanks again.
I agree with you 100% , when they write and package these directions and hardware they should think a little. I was watching a channel the other day that had something delivered and he was putting together. there was a separate bag of hardware for each step. and the bags were marked, step 1, Step 2, etc...... Whoever thought of that was genius.
I know, right? I mean how hard would it be to print up a label or something. I’m pretty mechanically inclined so it wasn’t a huge challenge but what about the next guy? I just think it is an easy step for complete customer satisfaction. Any way, on we go. It’s still a great day.
Thanks for watching. My posts are 12 inches and then I added the 6x6 horizontal and a 2x6 cap for a total of 20 inches of height. If I can help at all shoot me a message. Good luck
good job putting it together looks like the installation is not that easy I would have everything on backwards can't wait until you start milling thanks for sharing take care
Saw mill looks great, can't wait to see you run it & build up your supply of lumber. Then next you will be building up a storm. Does the saw mill come with a tarp or cover of some sort to protect it from the elements when not in use?
Thanks Roberta. You can purchase a special tarp cover made specifically for the mill but its $160.00. So for right now I use a regular heavy tarp and keep it covered. The idea is to build a sawmill shed over it in the near future.
@@CreeksideMaplesHomestead a shed would be of better use as you could also make it big enough to hold your milled wood too. I'm surprised they don't include one with the unit, I mean there was a considerable sum of $$ spent on purchasing the unit & setting it up so well. I mean a cover/tarp.
Thats a great idea. Luckily, I have a couple and know mechanics pretty well. But for other folks that aren’t quite familiar with nuts and bolts that would be a great investment. Personally, I do think it wouldn’t take much to have them label the bags. Thanks for watching and the good suggestions.

Thanks Bruce. It’s coming along now and ready to make some sawdust. That will be the next video. Have a great day

Very informative! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching guys. Have a great week.
I hope miss sizzle is feeling better
She is feeling better, thanks.
That is great
They must of heard you about the bolt sizes. I got the HM126 about two weeks ago and each bag was labeled .
Cngrats on the mill. Glad they got smart with their labelling.
Ya'll have a good evening.
Hey Sam. Thanks so much. Have a blessed day my friend.
Great video guys! Love it. Keep the great content coming. Cheers
Thanks Gary. Hope all is going well for you at Harmony Haven Homestead.
That certainly was a puzzle to put together. We were here frustrated for you!
Can’t wait to see it running though!
It was fun for sure. It’s going to make milling that much sweeter. Thanks for watching and have a great weekend

Nice progress! You are going to get so much use out of that. Well done, sir.
Thanks guys for watching. Appreciate it.
Marvin is the patient one when it comes to things like these. I would have thrown the while saw mill away! 😂😂😂
I have heard the patience is a virtue. I could be in trouble. Lol. It wasn’t too bad. I got it figured out. Thanks for watching
I am glad that you got this sawmill and I bet you and ur brother was tired putting it together
Thanks Willie. It wasn’t to bad. My brother only stayed to help set the mill head on the rails. He had a bunch of his own projects to do. But we appreciate every bit of help we get.
I bet you do and you are welcome

Hey Tony you have way more patience then I would . It sure will pay off in the end though but what a pain in the butt
Thanks Jewlz. I’m not sure if I have much patience left. Lol. But you are so right and it will pay off. Thanks for watching
How high are your 6x6 post sticking out of the ground? I am starting my build tomorrow and have the exact same idea you did.
Thanks for watching. My posts are 12 inches and then I added the 6x6 horizontal and a 2x6 cap for a total of 20 inches of height. If I can help at all shoot me a message. Good luck
Looking good guys. Super happy for you guys. Such a game changer for you on the Homestead. 😊
Thanks guys. It sure is. Gotta get projects done now. And find enough logs to mill. Have a great week. ❤️
let's turn some trees into lumber.....jim in central florida
Thanks Mr. Jim. You have played a monumental part in all of this. We are very grateful. Time to make some sawdust fly.
good job putting it together looks like the installation is not that easy I would have everything on backwards can't wait until you start milling thanks for sharing take care
Thanks for watching Tom. Now we are on to milling.

Why not pick up a cheap standard/metric tape measure and measure the hardware

That’s quite the saw mill. I don’t blame you…parts should be labeled
Thanks Lisa. I agree. We got it figured out pretty easily. But I’m very familiar with mechanics.
Tony i see a loose nut behind the wheel.
That would be me. 🤣🤣
should ALWAYS read instruction right through first i thing it says to build it on the ground first then lift it on the track 🙃
It could have. Not sure. But great advise. Thanks. Have a great day
