I would argue it's the best duel in martial-arts movies history, it's so well choreographed, and a perfect mixture of flashy and more direct stuff... The Jet being a real, legit fighter added credibility to it of course, and Jackie Chan is incredible as usual...
The final fight in Drunken Master 2 took 4 months to film. One week is typical, but Benny is saying that it was non-stop and they basically lived on the set.
Silverforce Without a doubt. In fact both films where they fight are awesome choreography. Love both of them them as they are so humble. Actors yes but true Martial Artists, they have my respect.
in the aspect of martial arts. That true. But that just because the first 2 police story and project A dont have any the martial artist ego moment. as action movie, they are better. dont get me wrong, this great. but that 4 movies imo is JC best work
Astonishing fact about Benny "The Jet" Urquidez: He was reigning champion for 27(!) consecutive years . The longest period of being champion in all of professional sports!!Simply amazing!
Many people don’t realize this is an excerpt from a much longer interview. It appears that I cut Benny off at the end, but that was just due to editing. I drove 3 1/2 hours one way just to get this interview. Believe me, I got a lot more than five minutes!
Thank you for this wonderful interview footage and also for the clarification. I indeed thought it ended rather abruptly. Wanna see.the full interview someday. I was so Glad to find out I am not the only one who thinks the fight (Wheels on Meals) one of the best, if not the best. Mr Benny brought in something very different from what were being done by those HK martial artists and stuntmen. Sort of Jackie:Benny = Bruce: Chuck in The way of dragon. I like my friend, missed the days of Bruce Lee but grew up watching Jackie Chan and co. My top 3 from him are : Wheels on Foods, Project A, Armour of God II. We were so impressed by Mr Benny back then!!
kira chew he’s also one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. About 10 years ago, when I attended a banquet for the Martial Arts History Museum, Benny came and introduced himself to me! I was speechless!
The way his eye sparkle when he talks about the stuff he did in the movie is inspiring. This dude (and Jackie) both love what they do so much and it shows in the performance. Benny is an ultimate lad
Man this woman by far one of the best interviewer I've ever seen. Patience and let people tell their story and no cut in interruption. Love it so good to watch. But it's just too short!
Jackie said in his autobiography that every day he'd poke Benny by saying: OK, let's fight for real, and Benny would always say: anytime Jackie, anytime.
You all don’t know how much this interview meant to me. I always wanted to hear what it was like, because I knew long ago that they actually fought for the scene! Hats off to both of these legendary martial art masters and my childhood martial art icons! I lived this with all my heart!
Watch, i think, episode 19 of Adkins' podcast, The Art of Action. It features Benny talking about his time with Jackie and includes Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever. It appears that Jackie left a hugely positive impression on Benny, who sings his praises.
Debbie, I'm so glad that I came across your channel. It was a honor to watch this interview with Benny The Jet Urquidez. I watched all the Jackie Chan movies as a kid in the 1980's and it was great. Thank you My first movie being The Big Brawl in 1984, I was 8 and never stopped watching Jackie Chan movies from that day on. Benny and Jackie had some of the greatest fights on film, PERIOD!! :)
That fight between Jackie and Urquidez near the end of Wheels on Meals is easily my favourite fight scene in any film. Probably my favourite Jackie Chan film, and Yuen Biao had a couple of great fights in it too. Great to see Urquidez talking about it here -- he seems like a genuinely nice guy!
batlin , the raid rama and andy vs mad dog was my favourite off all time til i seen this fight scene, you should check it out though i think you will like it
I've never seen anybody sound so thrilled to be able to take hits. God I love this guy. What a smile.Jackie Chan VHS is probably a universal childhood. This is the fight I first saw Benny in. Was a kid, couldn't pronounce his name, but "The Jet" was good enough. :D
Benny the Jet Urquidez, Ron Vanclief, Dennis Alexio, Super foot and Don the Dragon Wilson were fantastic in the ring and in the movies. OSU and respect for all of these Masters. 🙏🏼🐅🐉
Debbie you interview Benny like his on a fight set it's so fun to see champ Benny on anything either it's interview or his teaching a student God bless and keep it comin'

That's what I was thinking. This guy has been in many fights and his hands have taken a beating as they're giving a beating. Still wouldn't fuck with Benny.
I remember watching a documentary about martial arts movies and it noted that fight scene from Wheels on Meals as the greatest fight scene ever recorded - after watching it, I had to agree it was amazing. I was always amazed how great Jackie was, but seeing Benny The Jet against him, knowing that Benny was an actual champion kickboxer, put him on another level. Yes Jackie was and is an amazing movie star and stuntman, but it always struck me that Benny is the real deal fighter! - he proved his skills in the ring - movie stars rarely do that
Exype There is a full one hour episode of this interview. One of the longest interviews I have done. You can find it at CMAC.TV-go to “On demand,” then “Series guide”, and then Martial Arts Mania. Benny was a great guest!
That was an epic fight scene! The fight scene that really stands out to me between Jackie and Benny is the one they had in Dragons Forever. As a kid, my jaw dropped seeing how tough Benny is!
I was looking for that fight scene on youtube and after I found it, this video came up on my suggested. I wanted to know what it was like on the set for Benny and Jackie Chan. What's just as exciting is finding out this was interview was filmed where I live.
The man had a solid jaw , amazing talent , a pair of wrecking balls for hands and thrown kicks as natural as a Chinese person eating with chop sticks 61 wins 59 ko’s no losses
oh man! that story was so awesome. Not to mention quite historic. The experience of being on those sets must have been something else! (not to mention his work with Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao) And what a perfect pairing for the Hong Kong action movie industry as a whole (talk about perfect timing). Arguably it's finest alumni (Jackie Chan) teamed with the most stylistic/skilled kick boxer of his time ..and we all get to be lucky enough to enjoy it :)
Man you can tell benny is so excited to talk about that again, you know he really enjoyed it. I think it's funny they used a screenshot from dragons forever in this video while talking about wheels on meals. Wheels on Meals was the better choreographed fight, but Dragons Forever was so brutal and epic, those guys took a trip to the hospital for sure! Both tied for my favorite Jackie Chan films of all time.
What an awesome dude. So pleasant, and fun. Benny loves fighting in movies. I only knew him from gross point blank. Where he was the proverbial badass.
I'll never forget his kick that legitimately blew out candles.

Jackie vs Benny in meals on wheels is one of the best jackie fights
提督Tosuto its one of the best fight scenes ever and best Jackie Chan fight scene hands down..
Gokul Nath its one of the best ever.. but not nr 1 Jackie fight
I've always favored the scene from Dragons Forever - ua-cam.com/video/DsUclzcY8HE/v-deo.html
But both are wicked :)
I would argue it's the best duel in martial-arts movies history, it's so well choreographed, and a perfect mixture of flashy and more direct stuff... The Jet being a real, legit fighter added credibility to it of course, and Jackie Chan is incredible as usual...
Except it's called Wheels on Meals.
He said It took about a week to film one of the most iconic fight scenes in movie history. You can't fake that type of dedication.
The final fight in Drunken Master 2 took 4 months to film. One week is typical, but Benny is saying that it was non-stop and they basically lived on the set.
@@jp3813 The final fight in _Drunken Master 2_ had many moving parts in it. Far more than _Wheels On Meals._
@@D2Kprime Because they spent four months working on it.
Many legendary scenes can take a while.
The shower scene from Psycho took 9 days! All for 40 seconds of footage.
You're stupid if you think he's bluffing
That fight scene with Jackie is THE BEST martial arts scene in cinema history. The impacts felt brutal, and the pace was lightning!
Silverforce Without a doubt. In fact both films where they fight are awesome choreography. Love both of them them as they are so humble. Actors yes but true Martial Artists, they have my respect.

It's second best and it's inspired from the greatest one, *Colosseum Climax Fight* from Way Of The Dragon
Dragons Forever is even better 👌
