- 1) the two best 177 cylinderkits directly compared. the "old" M1X 172 vs the brand new malossi sport 177. 2) & sport 210 vs 177. & 3) some more detailed sport pic + 4) sport on a polini 177 engine case.
which one is your favourite?
piston: clearlly m1x
timings: sport, esp for 60mm stroke
exhaust port: sport, due to not too big
transfer ports: m1x
boost port: sport
exhaust noozle: sport
piston pin: m1x
price: sport (345) vs m1x (380)
it looks like sport hits nr1 :)
--) the new BEST vespa 177 cylinder (--
whats YOUR opinion?
MHR vs SPORT
why not mhr? for BOX si rotary valve setups = most of the setups:
low transfer timings do make sense and not too high exhaust port timings. so your first 177 tuning choice is malossi SPORT, not the mhr.

can I retain auto-lube with Malossi Sports 177 kit? WIll 24mm SI Carb do the job?
if the oilpump is serviced, yes, sure.
solve the fuel supply problems of the SI and set it correctly
not that you then blame it on the si ;)
Thx for ur video knowledge bout vespa! Not boring at all to see those🍻. I’ll choose VMC 177cc, ur video help me to decide. But just curious what is the best 200cc kits? What do you think?
Vielen dank!
its very easy if you look onto the piston quality, best 200cc kits are for rotary: malossi sport 210, for reed: quattrini m244
@@FreakMoPed8 i just understand now after watch your: ua-cam.com/video/PJG7G1_tDBE/v-deo.html
I’ll choose malossi sport 210 for rotary valve if, i change my mind for 200cc. For daily use and tour 200cc better or 177cc VMC is okay? I already use si24 and polini box. What crankshaft you recommed?
Thx a lot for your answer keep up the cool video bout vespa sir!🤜🏾🤛🏾
Note: iam very newbie, thats why need your opinion
sorry, didnt see this. 177 for daily is absolutely fine!
@@FreakMoPed8 im sorry to ask this but i dont know anything about vespas and im very interested.. What is the diference between polini, quattrini amd what is malossi? Im on the hunt for information. Sprichst du Deutsch?
Can I get malossi from sport 177 from you? What the price? And where are you from?
not a shop, just an amateur hobby mechanic ;)
Sorry maybe you must be check BGM Cilinder re-porting and re polished by Ajivas on his channel, thankz...
and why exactöy do you think i should do that? in general: there are certain brand which are better be avoided, due to an economic approach and potential regarding quality management / control. when a brand is selling low end quality cranks as very good TUNING cranks, which are not even appropiate for original engines, i do not trust them with any other hardware.
and a IF small series china cylinder from a dealer, than the reasonable priced as VMC.
vmc, malossi, quattrini are the best 177cc kits.
whether the quattrini and malossi blocks above can be chartered ?
Sorry my inggris is bad
Sry didnt get it. What do you mean with chartered.
@@FreakMoPed8what i mean is over size
forgive me I can't speak English I use google taranslite and the word I entered is wrong im sorry bro...
no oversize piston needed, they last very long, if any you usually just replace the piston after some time, thats no problem as long as the coating is fine. if you want to bore it you need a new coating and this costs around 250,-
@@FreakMoPed8 thanks for the information, in Indonesia there may not be a coating for the wall block, that's the reason I ask if he lasts longer and the loser is only a piston no matter the cost of replacing it is not too expensive, thanks again for the information ...
i am a fan of cast iron cylinders anyways!
Are sport and mhr have significant in power difference? What the characteristic of sport and mhr in your opinion
different cylinder timings. Sport lower, mhr higher.
Sport = touring, rotary valve, for si carb box setups the first choice.
Mhr = maximum power, reed valve
@@FreakMoPed8 can I retain auto-lube with Malossi Sports 177?
What does it mean to have low cylinder timings and high cylinder timings? What does it do to the bike? Does it make the engine run faster or slower? Appreciate your response!
sorry didnt see this earlier. early or late power. both fast. i prefer torque = early power as its available in 4 gears. reving power is often already in 3rd not really available anymore... so often a 2gear effect
Cost of these 2
And where i can buy this
any vespa part shops
I have super 150 1973.....give me an advise how to upgrade the performance....including recommended part to hheheh.....also which one do you prefer for good acceleration but also great for touring....pollini,malossi or quattrini......thank you
Two or three port engine?
I dont know...but its still standart....no parr replacement at all....i got it from my grandpa...
Oh once more i got some choices...
1.malossi 177 cast
2. Parmakit 177 TSV
3.BGM alloy 177
Which one do you recommend for the purpose i said before...
Thanks
Engine code VBC1M
@@FreakMoPed8 engine code vbcm1...and its still standart
Hi bro so overall Malossi sport 177 is the best ratio of choice ?
for touring yes. I would take the malossi or as a cheaper option thr vmc 177
mista FreakMoPed thanks for ur reply bro, alright I will choose Malossi for u advise
mista FreakMoPed thanks for ur help bro :)
But buy at smaller shops, its available for less than 400 there
@@FreakMoPed8 bro which shop u would recon?
I dont know what to buy..whether it is quatrini 172 m1x or m1xl or vespone pinasco rx190 or parmakit 210. For my engine 150cc...can u suggest me
it gets easier when you check the pistons that are used, instead of getting blinded by advertisment texts, which rarely tell the truth as they are sales and profit oriented.
All pinasco pistons do have potential. Go to my fb page and you will find quite some pictures. Also parmakit pistons are on the efficient side. Only quattrini uses state of the art meteor pistonas, and there you go 🙃 cheaper alternativ, also a new very good cyl with proper piston (not! Cracking) is vmc
@@FreakMoPed8 how about clutch?whats u recomend ?feredo is good enough?
both px old and cosa clutch have to be strengthened. checkout the diy clucth guide
Which the best???quattrini 172 or malossi 177 sport???
quattrini. surf web for malossi 177, the pistons are a bit weak. the m1x has a top meteor piston
@@FreakMoPed8 thanks for your respond...okey....now i want proceed to next project.....🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@FreakMoPed8 thanks for your respond...okey....now i want proceed to next project.....🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
how about malossi 187?
will be the same kit. be aware of that the malossi piston has a weak spot and can crack there sadly...
@@FreakMoPed8 hello sir..allready bought m1x quatrini with mazu crankshaft..and what is the suitable cluth for my setting?do u recomend ferodo clutch?
no. its not. all standard clutches, no matter which brand (pretty much all the same replica stuff just branded) it not appropiate for tuning as the tabs of the linings are too thin and get damaged pretty fast with the easy achievable power nowadays. get yourself HONDA CR80 clutch linings, you can adjust the tab by yourself. px old needs a ring around the basket, cosa clutch needs ring and additional welding points or rivets between the existing rivets.
