  • simple trick to get a tight cylinder head. Sandpaper it with a 180 paper :) asEVERY new head is NOT tight, you have to rework all. Od them and every single time you take. It of the cylinder, before remounting.
    is a rubber seal needed? no its not, but its of course a good thing to have. otherwise false air hits in and the cyl can seize. checkout the false air guide:

    Hello, the sand paper, 600 or 800 is enough?

    • @FreakMoPed8
      @FreakMoPed8  Рік тому

      no. its too fine. it clogs quickly. and we dont wanna polish things. 320-400 is fine. a bit of roughness is needed, for the sealing compound to work properly

    Hello, i have vespa VBC with stock 2-ports cylinder and the head. The cylinder head doesn't have squish band, so the compression ratio is very low, about 1:7,4 according to the manual book. Here is my cylinder head look like > imgur*com/a/oDwBTau
    My question is, can I use another cylinder head with big squish band that looks like this > imgur*com/a/GyOzMKg with stock cylinder and small taper crankshaft? the compression ratio of this cylinder head is I think around 10-11:1 with 57 mm stroke.
