Its even better when you read the thought process the devs had "we added guns because americans love to shoot things" will go down as one of the funniest shit a game dev has ever said.
My biggest gripe with the game is the ai pathing. Things always break in the base. It’s because of this I’d strongly recommend everyone steer clear from jormuntide/ignus; they are the best in their field at what they do but the tonnes of free time they have after performing tasks causes them to roam aimlessly, making them glitch out or get themselves in spots that they can’t eat/sleep. Picking pals that always have something to do reduces problems 10fold e.g rlphidran aqua will cut wood inbetween watering crops/crusher/mill. Or ragnahawk will move stuff on the downtime. Since doing this I rarely have issues with clipping.
Gotta have decent food and hot springs to keep their sanity up if they're always working, my Bushi on my mining base was always grumpy cause he'd work the tree farm when there was nothing else to do, while my mining Pals were always fine cause they had large periods of time waiting for ores to respawn.

For those who may want to know, Petallia can be bred at the start using a Elkthyrdeer Terra and Vanwyrm. You can get Elkthyrdeer Terra by breeding the normal Elkthyrdeer with Hangyu. You can get Hangyu from Chikipi and Fuack. You can get Vanwyrm from Elkthyrdeer Terra and Nitewing. So all you need are Elkthyrdeer, Nitewing, Chikipi, and Fuack. Of course you need cake. So that will be the thing you need to figure out. But if you figure that out before the boss version becomes doable then the option is there. Even if you don't, when you do, you now have a path for breeding passives into one.
Celaray and relaxasurus also make Anubis and can be obtained before you even unlock the breeding pit, the lowest lvl relax i saw was 14 and celaray was like 4
You can find even lower level pal combos to get these. Minimum level is the breeding facility at 19. After that cake mat that you struggle with is honey moths drop it only need 2 initially first breeding combo should be for a beegarde who produces honey. And go from there.
Relaxaurus x Celeray is a much easier way to get an Anubis via breeding on the added bonus that you can trait farm by spam catching these to try and breed an Anubis with desired traits

I've never had electricity be an issue but technically Grizzbolt is about as easy to get as Mossanda and has 1 better electricity... and that's literally their difference. Beyond that... yeah solid. I will say I feel a better kindling Pal (soo much fking ingots) would be nice but as a "these can do everything needed" list Bushi is a solid choice.
If you do this combo, penking wont actually chill your fridge ever. You need to either assign him and have a second water pal, or just get two specialized pals.
Literally you only need 2 different pals in your base to handle everything except Kindling. Verdash and Anubis. I've got 2 separate breeding farms set up specifically to breed perfect versions of them.
They don't cover meds, watering, cold, or electricity... cold can be overlooked and meds is a coin toss (I've had 2 sick pals my buddy has had about 50, roughly same total time played) but having an elec and a watering Pal is definitely needed.
I know there are going to be more Pals added at a later date but It makes me wonder. Why did we get Pals that have a lvl 4 in a certain category but no lvl 4 lumbering?
You really don't want your pals to have a bunch of traits because that often leads to certain tasks being neglected. Like for example watering and cooling - you should have dedicated Pals for each otherwise they just never get done.
That's y you use your other slots for the smaller pals to take on those area's leaving your main 5 to do the most of it. Granted I use the method of having 2 of each pal for mining, planting, ore etc in one base then 2 of each at the other base that I don't have in my first base then put a storage box right beside your pal board so you can transport large quantities of supplies without even moving. Just teleport from one base to another and have like 3 cats in each base to move supplies
This is kind of bad. Penking and Bushi are awesome Pals for early game but in all honesty you want more dedicated Pals. "Penking does watering and cooling!" So what happens to my fridge while Penking is water plants?
i was wondering why Mossanda Lux over Grizzbolt? i see they have the same Work Suitabilities but Mossa eat less food But its a breeding less you need to do
Make Nails, catch a wandering merchant and put him in your base, sell a shitload of nails to him @ 160 gold for just ONE Nail, you need to craft 625 Nails to get 100k in Gold and then you can just buy a 999 stack of milk and a 999 stack of eggs for that 100k and from then on you`ll safe a lot of time waiting to let the cow and a chickn produce milk and eggs, so you will just need to wait for two beegarde shit a lot of honeypots on you farm!
Ok, hear me out. I think ITS not a good idea to have one pal with many base skills. But why? A pal with one skill will only work on that, meaning it won't ignore something. What I mean by that: lets say you need to make some metal for your armor, but your pal have both fire and mining, he won't help you making the metal if he consider the mining more important at the moment, even if you grab him, it still happen to them just leaving after 3 seconds. That's why you can have more bases before the heavy farming part of the game, so you can have single pals working while having extra space for other things.
I agree, I have been in situations where Pals ignore needed tasks in favour of smashing their heads against a tree and assigning them to specific stations is often forgotten seemingly at random. Because of this I have Pal's dedicated to specific tasks and only use Pals with a number of skills when the intended task is not being performed all the time. For example I use kindling/transport Pals like Vanwyrm as they can kindle but when they are not they can help on the various farms. I do the same with watering/transport Pals. But almost never with electric types. I never mix the ice skill. Anything that takes my Pal from the fridge is a no. Especially on the breeding farm.
I'd like to see a guide on XP grinding (for players and pals), I'm at level 46 right now and it's taking a while. My strategy so far has been to focus on collecting 10 of each Pal, and ocasionally doing dungeons and/or bosses when I get bored of that. Is there any better way than this? Also, all of my pals are underlevelled in comparison to my player character, is there any better way to level them up to catch up to me? When I get to level 50 the legit way, I might just bump up the XP gain rate for my pals, since honestly at that point, it's just grinding, doing the same thing over and over again, I'd be doing the same thing over and over whether it took 100 hours to get to top level or 1, and I haven't got enough life to waste on too much grinding, especially if it isn't even going to earn me the respect of my many non-existant peers
Tower bosses and world bosses gives a lot of Pal XP on kill, my Pal has been over leveling me and had to be scaled down. Currently there’s no cooldown on tower bosses so you can just grind those
if you do the glitch to capture zoe and grizzbolt he has level 3 electricity and also level 3 transporting with the rest of what mossanda lux does just better.
Did u rly just went into the bushi fight with a grass type? 😂😂😂 Edit: U literally got the legy crossbow chematic the first time u do bushi... u lucky little thing lol.
Was looking to see if someone commented on this. It's a better experience not having to wait for every single egg to hatch, especially if you're cross breeding for specific skills.
If you've read their recent update posts, Pocket Pair has addressed the fact that there's a lack of end game content. It's expected, it's an early access game, and they said they have every Intention to add more end game content
Probably has been said but relaxsaurus and celeray make Anubis as well 🙌🏻 might be easier to grab these two since they are basically in the starting area
You can also get Anubis from bushi and penking which saves you the trouble of catching the chillet and Quivern

Just teleport from one base to another and have like 3 cats in each base to move supplies
Great. Now how do I get them to actually do what they're supposed to instead of getting stuck inside the house and behind walls and what not?
If Massandra Lux is too big, get two, breed them, and then use the Non Alpha tiny baby one! (Same for all Alpha / bosses)
This is kind of bad.
Penking and Bushi are awesome Pals for early game but in all honesty you want more dedicated Pals.
"Penking does watering and cooling!"
So what happens to my fridge while Penking is water plants?
Celaray and Relaxaurus make Anubis as well. Good for pre level 20
Where is your base ? Looks like a lovely spot
i was wondering why Mossanda Lux over Grizzbolt?
i see they have the same Work Suitabilities but Mossa eat less food But its a breeding less you need to do
Bushi+Penking that you got earlier also make Anubis
Make Nails, catch a wandering merchant and put him in your base, sell a shitload of nails to him @ 160 gold for just ONE Nail,
you need to craft 625 Nails to get 100k in Gold and then you can just buy a 999 stack of milk and a 999 stack of eggs for that 100k
and from then on you`ll safe a lot of time waiting to let the cow and a chickn produce milk and eggs,
so you will just need to wait for two beegarde shit a lot of honeypots on you farm!
Cattiva and Tombat make Anubis
You can also get Anubis from a celaray and relaxaurus
1:00 Bushi is just Chansin/Gleam from Yo-kai Watch.
The blue dragon and water dinosaur and the stingray thing also give Anubis
Bushi , pending,petunia,mossandalux,anubis
You can get Anubis way easier and earlier with penking and bushi.
Or just find a normal Grizzbolt instead iirc
Thanks for the breeding tips
Did u rly just went into the bushi fight with a grass type? 😂😂😂
Edit: U literally got the legy crossbow chematic the first time u do bushi... u lucky little thing lol.
You didn’t need to go kill Quivern. Penking and Bushi also breed Anubis.
Relaxosauros + celeray also make anubis
"I'm going to show you the best pals to catch for the early game... First, you wanna catch this lvl 23 pal."
Bruh 💀
Just turn off the incubation timer in world settings. No waiting.
Was looking to see if someone commented on this. It's a better experience not having to wait for every single egg to hatch, especially if you're cross breeding for specific skills.
Concerned about the end game at this point. It seems like the game has a heavy amount of stall tactics trying to keep you in the mid levels.
If you've read their recent update posts, Pocket Pair has addressed the fact that there's a lack of end game content. It's expected, it's an early access game, and they said they have every Intention to add more end game content
Bushi + Penking = Anubis, much easier to obtain and breed at an even earlier level!
Wait why do chiller and quivern, And bushi and oenking make the same thing
Cinnamoth and vanwyrm make Anubis as well
Relaxaurus and Celeray make anubis as well easiest early combo ik of.
you already grabbed bushi and penking which gives you anubis for breeding
Mosanda lux still buggy. You will fly off to the moon while riding.
Probably has been said but relaxsaurus and celeray make Anubis as well 🙌🏻 might be easier to grab these two since they are basically in the starting area
Penking and Bushi will also make Anubis
Relaxosorus and celeray gives u anubis also wayyyyyy easier
you can also get anubis with bushi and penking
Penking and Bushi also make Anubis ❤
breed relaxarus and celerays for anubis, easier catches
bushi and penking breed into Anubis bro
Where is this base in this vid I’m wanting a place to put a base just for breeding
You can't tell me you don't think elden ring here with these "sealed realms" lol
Why are people making it sound like there's only a couple combinations to make Anubis?
*There's 171. Yeah.*
Use the Palpedia breeding calculator.
Who is a best boy? What a best boy!
Where is this base at?!
How do people have 30 minute timers on the incubators. mine are all 3-50 hours
If you are playing with the unmodified "Hard" ruleset they pump the hours for eggs
Relaxaurus and celaray I belive also make anubis
Anubis from celeray and relaxasourus 🎉 easy asf
Does anything farm leather
