Always thought archon mode has a lot of potencial, is a totally unexplored world. Would be like the pineacle of optimization gameplay

So many huge names. It really shows how tightly knit the sc2 community is and it's nice to see them get together during the quarantine
They all love to play sc2 but they are so good that they have to come up with stupid challenges to keep the game interesting when they can't play against each other. It just seems natural that they are important to each other.
They are the only people they can really fully share their love of sc2 with.
I hope that in the first game they just made Serral the creep spreader.

I really dont understand why archon mode did not pick up a lot more than it did...This is such a smart move because of the apm limitation for all players. So much fun to have one player scouting attacking and the other macroing and reacting well. I find games much more complete with less mistakes!!
Anyway great idea on these video, LOVE IT please do more!!!!
The issue with archon mode was that you really dont want to play with randos so you need 2 people to que thus there are very few people who play it

Mobas are hard because they require coordination. As the boyz said - if Serral was playing alone, he had more chances winning :D.
@@potenviking Not in this case, with Archon in SC2 you have a clear split between micro and macro. Essentially the micro player is doing all the scouting and attacking and is telling the macro guy in real time what is happening for strategy. For example with your reaper as a terran you tell all the timings to the macro player, if you see roaches, lings, or expo etc. Then the macro player can adjut the build perfectly accordingly. There is no attack coordination like MOBA. You are just making the information more available and adding pure APM.
@@Caccac40 still when calling shots and then the others following your shots requires coordination. Not everyone are good at communicating. In the first two games the win was basically on coordination, the Zergs were playing quite distracted. In any case if this becomes a played mode and you have people you often play with, then you are probably right, they will learn what would be handled by whom.
You should send some of these replays to Lowko or Winter they will love these so much

Edit: If you watch the Lambo POV, you'll see that Serral actually only macros for the fourth game, and he doesn't do a ton in the other games

hihi kevin, these videos are always a lot of fun and i think the first person view is way better, i always think these games are a lot more exciting since theres stuff going on at every point in the match unlike when someone plays alone because its simply impossible to micro that much
This is so intense, this must have been what it would be like to play alpha star with full view of map and no restrictions. It's great to see all of you having fun and creating content together even through it's under Harstem's feed. It's nice to see the goofy parts but also you roasting each other a little. Keep it up!

This confirms the theory of Terran is the best race. Has the better unit comps to be cost-efficient, but the race mechanics and the nature of its units is heavy-demanding on the multitask and control.
