- School board meetings have become increasingly hostile in recent years thanks to public debates over everything from COVID-19 to culture. How did we get here?
Rarely have people that totally aren’t teaching X been this angry about bans on teaching X. It’s almost as if they actually are teaching X and just don’t want to admit it.
I don't have any kids but if I did, I would 100% home school them or raise them overseas
Schools in Europe and England are even worse than those in the USA. Home schooling is the only answer, or fix the public schools. Jesus is the only answer.
America is out of control and in deep decay.

I am a parent of a public elementary school student, and I have nothing but praise for my child's school and curriculum. These people need to unplug from Fox news and the like

Just start with their sexualizing children under the age of 16/18, they’re not taking parent concerns with any amount of seriousness, they plug your ears and cover their eyes to anything the parents/students have to say, and then have the audacity to claim they have no feet to stand on:

It seems as though a lot these parents are enjoying the “spotlight” and chance to perform.
It seems to me that EDUCATORS are far more guilty of that, every single day. Center-of-attention, etc. Don't hate on parents until you find a woman with low enough standards to make you into one.

nice biased reporting. I have seen many examples of what is and what is trying to be taught to children. It might not be actual CRT, but it is based off of many of it's principles which are divisive and racist. Same goes for any type of gender studies which are something that parents should be teaching, not teachers. There are many videos of teachers teaching their own agendas and ideologies. Whether these are being pushed by the school boards of just plain lack of paying attention to what the teachers are doing is something that needs to be looked at and addressed instead of blaming parents/the public for getting involved.
Getting involved is fine. What you can’t have is conspiracy theories leading your points and being unable to provide reasonable points or professionalism when addressing the school board. This report clearly showed what people are missing. School board meetings are not places to yell at the school board and push your political ideas. They are to voice your concerns on what is happening to your kid in schools. Parents speeches should have fact based points and clear processes that need to be implemented to see improvements.
