I've got all the seasons on dvd and it never fails to help lift my spirits when i'm having a shit day. The producers chosen Ed O Neil to play Al is one of the best casting decisions ever made for a tv sitcom.

In german tv they repeat it. Married with children is one of my favs. I watched it for the first time as a teenager. Now at an age of 36 I still watch it when it comes on tv. Good old times: Knight rider, A Team, MacGyver, Robot wars, American gladiators, Daktari, Full House, Steve Urkel, Prince of Bel Air, First Rambo and Terminator Movie - Hell ya! And nowadays you americans have the choice between Hillary and Trump. I'd even prefer Jim Parsons as the next president. :) Greetings from f...ing far away Germany. 🙌

Al sounds pretty pissed of life. It fits very well to his charcter. But things like the psycho dad Song are epic in original tone of course. There are more good german speakers, than in spanish. In spanish there are a lot undertitled movies. The Best translated voice of an american is the voice of the hillstrand guy of the crab fishers on the behring sea in Alaska. This guy has a rough wiskey voice like he has his original voice. You could say the more succsessful an American TV series/ movie is, the better their synchronists. For me personally It's harder to understand some black americans. Fo shazzle dazzle It's the big.......you know snoop dog style. Sounds cool but hard to understand for me. But I met some black americans on vacation in Mexico. I understood them pretty well and was a lot of fun talking to them about US, the big Problems with american cops, NFL and the next president.
Jörg Dallmann i was born and lived in germany...as a kid i never watched a movie or series that is not synchronised...i always tought it was weird to read the titles.now that i live in another country where it is normal to have titles and almost nothing is synchronised i have to say that i would NEVER ever watch a synchronised movie or series again.i know that germans put a lot effort in it and they do a good job,but it sounds just weird and the most important thing is that the humour/meaning gets lost in translation too often.you don't hear the actors specific voice and kids speak english pretty good with titles.try it with german titles for a year and you will see that it sounds so weird on german.
