That mine has a lot of loose and no rock-bolts at all. It is obvious that the miners did not seal it properly and probably were very lax with the ceiling safety when working the site. Always have a buddy with you when going underground and always have a breathing apparatus to give you a chance if gas is encountered.

Thanks for sharing another fine and interesting location, it pays to be cautious in those mines also take an air monitor with you unless a mine has good air flow. I'm waiting for the next video lots of fine scenery out there also.

Absolutely correct, trying to figure out the best method here. I have found a good bit of information about this and currently on planning! Air flow is a great recommendation, thank you for the thought Charles!
As always thanks for tuning in and sharing your insights, hope today is treating you well and look forward to hearing from you on the next adventure! Thank you👍👋👋

Great stuff. That old truck body reminds me of when I was your age. I worked in a gravel pit. We used one for our control room and tool shed. The old ones were tough. We could lock it up. People trying to break in failed several times. The crushing and screening plant and conveyors all had start and stop switching in it. We ran it off a generator with a large Cataplilar engine. When your gut says don't go in, listen to it. That old mine is talking to you. I could tell several ways. Especially by your body language and how fast you got out. That tapping noise before you went in is like Morse code. Old miner spirits may be just the wind. You make the call. Be safe. Look up a better way of how to be safe. I want you to live a long time and share more adventures. I'm getting too old for some of that. Old guys like me live through your Yung eyes.

I do say it takes a bit of nerve entering an abandoned mine, really can’t wait to get back out. cannot believe I found such a gem. wasn’t expecting it, glad I went in and shared the adventure/experience so far! The exposure on the silver vein I think really hooked me..Shame this history isn’t documented more. Would love to hear the original prospectors story!

@@MountainWestProductions let me know if you want info on eastern Oregon. Fascinating history. I am from a real ghost town 5,500’ in the Blue Mountains. My uncle lived there or one of his gold claims for 50 yrs. I was panning for gold when I could walk.

    • @MountainWestProductions

This is fascinating, I like kind of wondering who was up in these areas prospecting and took the risk and what not..You hear a lot about big claims but never what was physically pulled out Or the ore vein that made it all worthwhile…
I have a couple spots placer related as well. Have not panned as much as of now. That said I am curious about the blue mountains, I haven’t heard of them but I do spend a lot of time across the west and am always looking for the next site. There’s a ghost town up there also?

That looks like a Uranium mine! Stay out ! Ive been prospecting since 07!
One day I found a peice of brecciated rock, similar to whats there!
It's cubed shaped and a soft ore. Fractures in square chunks.
I compared it to others online, and the colors go from tgst sandy beige to stained black!
Whoever left this mine, had filled in the adit shaft entrance.
I have an expression: When in DOUGHT, DON'T!
MEANING,ITS SAFER TO NOT DO IT,THEN TO.
The adit looks like it has enough rock at the doorway to keep you in there for a while!
You didn't say your girlfriend was with you,so to exploring unknown mines don't,and by yourself, don't do it! Your life depends on keeping yourself safe above your curiosity to explore!
    The camera mentality,gotta have pictures!
Never enter a mine or shaft without backup,a freind.
    Never go it alone !
Remember those blm signs your govt has: stay out n stay alive!
    Bring a Geiger counter there!😮

You think it’s uranium? The site says silver, I’m pretty sure it’s silver and other tertiary metals. I don’t think there’s uranium up in this range from any claim. but you never know I agree you just never do.
This site here makes me wonder about proper ventilation as well. I think it goes back far. it’s a really interesting one a lot of guys have told me that ones no good as well how’s…
Thank you for the knowledge good stuff there. Appreciate you 👍
