I'm retired and live in Daytona Beach, FL. Been here for 21years and don't get back "home" WV. so I enjoy seeing wooded areas and creeks with "rock bottoms" with clear water. Just loved fishing waters like this. Really enjoy yer videos, thanks. Tom DB,FL.
Great video! I've been watching all your videos, and I've been focusing on the techniques you use and using those same techniques and I've been catching SO MANY fish recently, I owe my success to you! Thanks Fish Hawk!!!!

Hey there Fish Hawk, congratulations on a great fishing adventure. Man, what a beautiful setting you were fishing at. Those Trout were fantastic too. I've only caught Rainbow Trout but, in a couple of weeks, my wife and I are going to be visiting our daughter and family up in Idaho. Her husband is an avid fisherman who has taught our grandchildren how to fish. He fishes mostly creeks and streams which I have no luck with. I'm looking forward to learning how to fish and catch fish from him. I'll be trying out some of these tactics I've learned from watching your channel. Thank you so much. I look forward to watching each new video you present and, I save many in a folder here on my cell. Stan
hey Fish Hawk, just wanted to say thank you for all the info and vids, your advise and information has turned me into a huge trout fisherman and i love the content, keep up the amazing work man!
Thanks for showing us what you use for lures and such. Lots of other channels seem to cover that very sparingly which is a little frustrating. Great content keep up the good work!

I really like your videos, you described the creek, the bait used, carefully handled the fish and underwater video. I would like you show how you remove the hook, without seriously not hurting the fish!
A thrill is when a person pursues wild native fish -- like a 22" cutthroat or a 14" golden. Horsepack into the Sierra Nevada mountains at 8 -- 11,000 ft altitude.
I don’t know exactly where you’re at - somewhere in Maryland or Virginia, I believe - but you have some beautiful water down there and you’ve got a real talent for showing how pretty those little fish really are. Thanks and looking forward to more.
I really think that the section you were fishing lends itself to something like a 2" Rapala Countdown (CD5) in either rainbow trout or brown trout patterns.
Excellent work my friend. Love the first 15 seconds. Not that it isn't all great. However, thats what keeps em coming out. I gotta work on my intro for that reason :) Give em hell this weekend. Happy memorial day

Nice rainbows and brooks, looks like some healthy trout that put up a great fight. I usually fish spinners across the stream since I have trouble keeping them spinning when reeling straight downstream. Do you have any tips for keeping the blade spinning when reeling in the spinner in the direction of the current?
You can fish across, upstream or downstream. I have caught fish doing it each way. If you are reeling in the direction of the current, try keeping your rod tip up if your spinner is too deep. Or hold your rod tip down to get it deeper. Also, you have to reel fast if the current is flowing fast. Reel it just fast enough to keep the blade spinning.
black is my favorite. But I use a lot of different colors. Just depends on what they are hitting. If I try a color and it doesn't work I just keep switching until I find something they want.
Oh man i had a fish like that and it fell off my hook at the bank. It was a fat trout and i reeled in and it fell off. I was going to jump in for it but the game and fish wardens were across the pond. I think it was a survivor from the fishing derby the day before. Makes me sad to this day. This happened in April. 😂😂😂😂
Since summer’s starting I’m getting back out and fishing but this year I want to take it more serious. Consider me a beginner what setup do you recommend, for catching mostly bass and maybe some blue gill. Rod, reel, line, etc. But I’m still getting good quality stuff so don’t name any super beginner stuff
That's a tough question lol I like a lot of reels and rods. I like a lot of different brands too. If I were to pick a combo for myself, I would pick a St Croix Premier rod, a Daiwa BG reel and P-Line fishing line. That would be my choice. But there are a ton of great choices. It's really up to you and what you like.
thats my rule, if its a 5 dollar or more lure, im busting out my mask and going for a swim lol. also yes i do carry a full diving mask while fishing lmao
in a minute i wouldve been into my black rooster tails, gold blade,, and i wouldve been asking where the cold water dumps in,,because above that would be smallmouth heaven,,,,,most of the best smallmouth rivers are just above the stocked or not cold springs,,,,just about as reliable as you can get if you divide a good stream that way,,, and alot time you wont see much competition for stretches if you just get a 1/2 mile above the cold springs,,or go downstream if your all for the big trout..One really good example is the Meramec River in MO,, above the state park and cold springs smallmouths are thick,,below you get trophy trout runs artificial only,, but they are big well worth it.,,
@@coreysieminowski9474 you're asking me why I picked 6 foot? I picked 6 foot because a long rod is harder to use in tight spaces. When you're fishing small creeks/streams there is usually a lot of trees and brush along the banks. So having a shorter rod is easier for me to walk around with and cast with.
