Original xbox is my favorite game system, I've spent so many times and memories modding it. But I think i played playstation 2 the most as a child.
Make sure to show up at my funeral early. It's the only time you'll be able to get my og xbox from my hands. I got one a few years back. I fell in love immediately. 🥰
Can you simply upgrade the 1.0 GPU cooler to the fan-less 1.1+ version?

My favorite console, and the one I always go back to, is the Xbox.
This made a huge difference on my GPU fan, though sadly I still hear a high-pitch noise coming from it. It's quite annoying. I suspect I would need a full fan replacement, maybe one of those Noctua 3D printed cases to make it fit. Thanks for the video still!
The Xbox 360 Jasper Revision is the best gaming system of all time with the OG Xbox Revision 1.1 being a close second.
No doubt. I love the OG. I have a Crystal one now with a 1.3 in it. It came with the 1.6 and I swapped it out for the convenience of TSOP compatibility and a 2TB HDD.
Nice repair. I need to do that. I bought some fans I thought would fit but they don't quite fit right in that they don't snap into place and they are quite a bit thinner. P.S. Subbed and my fav console is NES.

You can replace the 1.0 gpu fan for PC motherboard IGP heatsink, most of them fix and the temperatures are lower. I had a tutorial on my channel,if you try it you can do a tutorial too. My xbox max temp is 50c.

The Nexus fans move less air, than the og fan…. Anybody have stress tests results? Or confirmation on how safe the nexus fan is?
A bit of advice i would remove the zip ties and put new ones the attached though the sides instead of the the of the shielding that would be alot tidier and would make it look alot better and still make it hold just as strong

This is an awesome series I found I am gonna replace the fan and attempt to tsop flash it! Hopefully see if I can upgrade the ram someday!
Lift sticker on motor side of fan. Place one drop of oil on sleeve and reattach sticker. This will quite motor and prolong fan life.
I had to replace capacitors that leaked out causing the system not to power on. I also changed the thermal paste and it does help a little. Now thanks to you I now know what fan to use so I can replace the cooling fan in the back. It does sound like a plain taking off lol. Great video!! Do the later models have a connector for the missing GPU fan? Mine does not have one on the GPU.
Some Xbox consoles don’t have them since Microsoft improved the passive cooling

Wow, the nexus fan is 60 dollars canadian. Is there a cheaper option? I only paid 10 for the xbox itself, lol.
Search some old xbox or pc's for dirt cheap like faulty or whatever that's cheaper, and you got a whole thing to get replacements like the hdd or capacitors, wires dvd drive and others
But if you only want a quiet xbox, yes, noctua nexus, etcetera, are the options if you want a more quiet xbox.
