One of the greatest family shows of all time. This is really when people and America were great and 1977 to 1981 was a fabulous time and people today don,t care or want to know or remember and that stinks !!!!!
“If we’re ever puzzled by the changing times…there’s a plate of homemade wishes on the kitchen window sill” love this part of the song warms my heart ❤️ love this show and the 1970s. I thank my lucky stars I grew up in this time 🙏
The world was so different then. All we have is memories now. I remember this show and the times it was beautiful I’m so fortunate to have experience this in my life.
I AM REALLY MISSING MY CHILDHOOD YEARS. I REMEMBER WATCHING THAT TV SERIES AND I DIDN'T MISS AN EPISODE. R.I.P DICK VAN PATTEN, LANI O'GRADY ADAM RICH AND JILL HYLAND. UNFORGETTABLE SCHOOL YEARS MEMORIES, CAREFREE AND PEACE OF MIND YEARS.🇨🇾🇨🇾
They don't make good TV shows like this anymore. These shows are much more better than the ones I watch in this 21st Century. The only thing that the shows in the 1980s and 1970s they had more meaning than today's shows.
Agreed and those times need to be repeated today before it,s too late because the young people of today are way out of line and don,t know the meaning of respect or love !!!!!
I can still remember the feel of the shag carpeting as I laid on the floor watching this show. There was a fake drawer on the bottom of the TV and I would keep flicking the handle on it with my toe until my mom yelled at me to "cut that out!"
Man they just don't make shows like this anymore what a great show this was. They need to bring back theme songs for tv shows. Maybe it would wake people up that our lives should not be so rushed.
One of the greatest family sit com shows of all time it was real America the way it used to be and people were so much better then. Now try to convince people now to see things this way now and you will get no agreement especially from the young who don,t care or want to care !!!!!
👋Thank you for sharing this. I loved this show. Those were the days. Little did I know how good they really were. Hate the comparison thought of then to now.
Did anyone else notice that Season 3 Episode 13 has the season 4 audio version? Season 3, 4 and 5 are slightly different in audio, not talking about the clips.
Yep, when he ran away to San Diego and lived on the beach with a homeless man. My Dad called my aunt's family who lived there every Sunday, and my cousin and I who were Nick's age talked about it.
Great show! This version of the opening mixed up "Joanie" and "Susan" though. "Joanie" is older and should come after Susan in the initial line up of each family member.
Silly goose. It’s because they aren’t really related they’re just actors. Just kidding. Yes, TPTB went a different in casting. It’s like casting director said let’s hire eight “kids” to play brothers & sisters but have none of them look a like and/or related. I assume they went for chemistry rather looks. Even from the pilot they went from blonde Kimberly Beck (Hilton) to blonde Diane Kay. The only switch was from Mark Hamil to Grant Goodeve. Great show that’s not seen in reruns today. I miss it. It was a fun show.
@@jad8123 Yes. I understood this was fiction and that none of them are related in real life. But at least try to match the sibling characters according to their looks to make them look related. It goes far beyond hair color. There's face structure, shapes of the features. eyes, nose, mouth etc.
If we're ever puzzled/bothered by the changing times. Anyone who has to stand alone he is only standing still and eight is enough to fill our lives with loooooooove!
When your mother gives you a roll of dimes and you carelessly spend it at the dollar store buying crap, the same as people living their lives carelessly.

Same two producers as Dallas. Anyone else think the Ogrady girl looked a lot like Jamie Leigh Curtis?

Eight is way too much!
It is plenty enough...and it is also my lucky number.
Why is it that none of the characters look related. It's like each look so different from one another.

Then you were crazy because this song is iconic!
