Your commitment to detail and aesthetics pays off every episode, especially with transition zones. That really seems to be the key for natural, pleasing looking cities. This is all the more evident when I come across builds that don't slow down and take the time for these things. I'm not knocking anyone's efforts, just saying I have my preferences!
The street-level views of this are so satisfying 😃 I've got so many ideas from this I want to bring in to my little city. Thanks Egg! Hope you're covid-free soon
Great way of building different kind of things, public transport, residential, parks, etc. And they still fit together so well! Like this "filling in of a corner." :)
I LOVE all the detailing in this episode! SUCH good spice samples! That little Japanese corner is the spice of life, it's simply gorgeous! And the Chirp Cinema...the cities gods were certainly in your favor this episode, perfect placement of that asset. I've seen a huge improvement in my cities by watching you, slowing down is essential to making a city look realistic. All the little details that you add make such a huge difference. Thanks for more amazing inspiration, Egg!! Hoping you feel better soon!
Haha, beat you to this type of design. From the moment I started watching Egg I have found a new love for CS, so I have been trying things I would never have done before. When designing a heavy transport infrastructure I realized that outside city train station there are shops, flats, pubs etc. So why not try that in CS. Again, even with covid you produce another excellent episode.....👍👍👍
A really cute little suburban build. It's always nice to have more ideas to detail them with. I like the rain, it gives a kind of dynamism to the game, I say keep the weather on! :D
I can't wait to work on my city again and link up my separate residential neighborhoods, I really got so many good ideas from this episode! Love love love LOVE L O V E!!!!!
Thanks for another 'slow' detailing episode.😎 Really enjoy these and the reminder to take things slow and spend time just watching and enjoying the city.
Love your attention to detail and I could happily sit and watch you just detailing as I learn so much each time. Weather is fine with me and feel better soon Egg ❤️
Stunning and simple designs as always!! Love all the walkabiity and transport just getting smashed with use. The trams in between the one way roads is such a good idea! Will try to implement that in my own city for sure
This is such a neat idea, I had trouble connecting industry with the residential area I made for the factories and it looked "forced", really not getting the vibe. I was looking at the Hoover Dam a project started in 1931 in the US, that also had a little town for workers and took inspiration from that. But I really love the way you have implemented this micro town, cozy and effective.
@@OVERCHARGEDEGG This is SO not a noobs guide. I recently started working on tiered layouts, and this series has just been a beautiful eye-opener. Thanks.
your tram - one way road network is so nice. If I had the guts to take the bashing I would post a pic of my one in discord. It's in CS2. It's so bad it could be used as a meme. hahaha Plus side, only one, for me, to go from there is up.
Once again, lots of inspiration! Why not introducing Surface Painter and Extra Landscaping Tools to create a lake in the open space where the tram flows in the middle, maybe over a bridge with water underneath? 💧
Would you consider a Scottish city, I was thinking Edinburgh. It has its castle, maybe someone has made a castle you could use. Lots of alleys, cobbled roads, monuments, parks etc. It something different, it's been around since 1633....👍
Can’t really claim it’s vanilla detailing when do stuff like at 28:28. At least on console the shrubbery take up such a large area that nothing can be placed next to them and they don’t cover the ground realistically at all. The MrMaison reeds are the best vanilla alternative to the unusable shrubbery I’ve found.
It is absolutely vanilla detailing. The collision space with the props on the console, same with the rocks don't make this any less vanilla, it's just a draw back of the worst version of the game.
The cims moving around will never get tiring. It’s a testimony to the walkability of these new suburbs
22:05 - Sound like Bob Ross. "Lets enjoy crafting this little space". I'm dying. I love it.

The Chirper Cinema looks like one of those mega churches with the Statue of Shopping out front 😂 love it!

Thank you Lauren!
Awesomely cute detailing! Always surprises me what you can do with vanilla! 🏬🌴
Absolutely cracking build, mate. Great idea to show in detail how to blend two distinct areas in together to create that seamless flow. Nailed it!
"This episode is Dad-approved!"
Thank you Brasak! Glad to see you're still enjoying noobs guide!

following this build on my Xbox console love it.hope you feel better soon egg 🥚
Glad to hear Paul!
Hope you feel better quickly and this is looking so so good.
42:31 all the palms in the background look like they are bowing and chanting "We're not worthey! We're not worthy!"

Great build!! I like this one especially since I am struggling to escape the rigid grids in my cities and consider the artistic approach of yours.
Whilst the episode itself was amazing, watching the skyline views in the background were equally amazing ! Noob Yolk is quite impressive
39:38 I can totally see a skater just wiping out on the pipe and shooting his board into one of the Ferris wheel gondolas.
I can't wait to work on my city again and link up my separate residential neighborhoods, I really got so many good ideas from this episode! Love love love LOVE L O V E!!!!!

amazing suburb. looks nearly as nice as the place where i live right now. There is just a dense forrest missing :) enjoyed this build
Get well soon 🙏🏼✨✨
man oh man that build looks fine!

Pretty city 🥰 so detailed
Thank you :D
The weather on is just part of the vanilla game, rain is okay 👍🏼
The rain is oddly peaceful
Nice one ! You should try your next noobs guide on a winter map. Call it Nooberia ;))))

We'll definitely be introducing some mods into this series once the vanilla tiles are full. Adding a lake here would be a great shout :)

Just a quick question egg I've been on instant gaming and pearls of the east ant on or am I blind???
I can't see it either mate, guess with it being a niche smaller pack, they just don't bother stocking it :)
Is there any other way of getting it do you know
I'm new to pc and don't really know what I'm going on thanks

Same with those hedges at 33:13. In vanilla nothing can be placed in front or behind them.
