The special effects were great but were blended so well that it wasn't crazy. Even though things happened you knew had to be digitally done. But so much of the action was done with wires and regular effects that it keeps you in the story. I was 35 when this came out and it was a perfect time to see it.
I watched this in the theater at 20. The scene where the mirror consumed Neo, down his throat (after The Pill)? Some dude in my row (obviously on drugs, tripping) FREAKED out! Pulled an A-Ha video down the stairs and couldn't stop, ran into the actual screen, then screaming ran out the stage exit door! Great movie and good times!
@@EthanBSide I saw this in theaters on shrooms, didn't jump up and freak out but it was so intense I thought the theater was sinking into the earth, down to the core for the whole movie, ahahaha. This entire trilogy was immediately iconic.
The best part is, that the Oracle never actually said Neo wasn't the One. He said "I'm not the One?" and she said "Sorry, kid. You've got the gift, but it seems like you're waiting for something... your next life maybe." That's exactly what happened. He was developing his gift, used it to get Morpheus out, then died and came back with his "next life" like it was a video game and Trinity reminded him to respawn lol. I hope you'll do the other three movies like this too.
The other two movies are... not great. Terrible, really. Compared to movies today, they're okay but compared to this, they're mostly awful with brief glimpses of greatness. There is no fourth movie as far as I'm concerned. It's a forced cash-grab, soulless, copy of a once great IP and the action scenes are filmed awfully by comparison. Nothing innovative or groundbreaking whatsoever. Definitely shouldn't have been forced to be made.
@@Fyrecide I had my own issues with the second two movies, but they were still decent enough to watch once. I have to disagree about the fourth movie though. Well, mostly disagree, you're right that they should never have forced it to be made, they really shafted Lana by doing that. BUT... what I loved about it was how she made it such a meta commentary on a bunch of topics including mocking the folks that forced her into making it. It was absolutely a cash grab, but I wouldn't call it soulless or a direct copy. Times have changed since the original so the message evolved. I acknowledge the bad points, but don't dwell on them, instead choosing to enjoy the good bits of it, like Bugs. She was absolutely adorable.
@@Fyrecide The other two movies are pretty average. As long as you keep your expectations low before watching those, they are okay. But do not expect those sequels to be anywhere the quality of this movie.
The matrix is one of the most defining films of the early 2000’s, ‘game changing’ is one word to describe it. The action scenes nail it so hard that no other action films can match it to this day.
@@irvplotnik89 Coming just before the year 2000 helped too, as there was hype in the air around everything from the messiah returning to fears that computers around the world would crash because they couldn't cope shifting from the years 19xx to the new 20xx numbers. Matrix taps into those Messiah and 'technology rules our lives' vibes.
My dad bought me this for xmas 1999 on DVD. I hadn't seen it at that point and wasn't that bothered. About a month or so later he asked me what I thought of it, so I suddenly had to give it a watch. It literally blew my mind as it has for so many, and is up there with my most frequently watched movies. Dad passed away In January this year, so in a small way its like a little legacy he left me.
You may know Hugo Weaving as an elvish ruler and Arwen's father in The Lord of the Rings, as the vigilante in V for Vendetta, as Red Skull in Captain America: the First Avenger, or as the tormented WW1 veteran and father in Hacksaw Ridge, but those of us who lived through it were introduced to him in this film, so will forever remember him by the measured speech patterns of Agent Smith: "Tell me, Mister Anderson... What good is a phone call if you're unable to speak?"
That's overstating. The Animatrix is by far the best of the Matrix movie series, IMO. The part about the war between humans and AI and how they won is some of the very best writing I've ever seen.
Actually when you know Hollywood history you know that it was just the most successful twin movie of Dark City (of several) which came out a year earlier.
@@Christobanistan While I agree that The Animatrix is great, I wouldn't go so far as to praise the human/machine war segments that well - they are probably the most mundanely written segments of the entire thing. My personal favourite segment was the 'glitch' one where the girl and some kids are playing in a section of The Matrix that has glitched causing physics to go all weird. MCU's Thor 2 did a rip off of this scene near the beginning of the film.
@@mnomadvfx Dark City was absolutely just as brilliant as the Matrix, and imho, the latter stole quite a few ideas from the former. Dark City is vastly underrated. I'm glad someone else remembers Dark City.
"This is possibly the best movie ever made. It's basically perfect in every way." You are correct and I completely agree with you. I think the first Matrix film and the first Jurassic Park film might be the only completely flawless films ever made, in my opinion.
My boss at my first job said he quit watching this movie at the beginning when Trinity flies through the window because he said it was unrealistic. I told him if he'd kept watching, it would have been explained why she was able to do that and that he had missed out one the most mind blowing movies ever. It's just funny that I still think about that.
The visuals are just amazing! And not just the slow motion, fancy camera work either. The mood which is set by the lighting and the angles used in the fight scenes both add to the action and the atmosphere.
The first time I saw this movie in a theater, shortly after its release, I immediately re-entered the theater afterward and watched it a second time. Then I came back the next day and watched it again. It was completely different than anything I had seen before. It totally blew my mind! An amazing ground-breaking film! It was great to see Laura's reaction as a first-time viewer. Lot's of confusing stuff happening yes, but lots of awesomeness going on as well!!
Seeing reactors watch this, and having seen the movie several times myself, it occurs to me that there's really not a moment wasted in the whole story. It's such an intensely dense journey for Neo and the audience to just not only understand the experience, but also to transcend the matrix and comprehend what it all means. What a crazy level of filmmaking.
Yes! 4 years ago I rewatched The Matrix after a long gap, and for the first time I noticed: There's rarely any dialogue where there doesn't need to be. There's no "filler". And the dialogue that is present doesn't take the scenic route. It gets right to the point. It gets the ideas across well, but it does it in very few words. Take the night club scene for example. Many movies would be tempted to have a longer establishing shot, maybe even show Neo having a banal conversation with his friends to really let it sink in how out of his element he is. Instead, we get a brief shot of some people talking but we don't hear what they say, we get a brief shot of Neo standing by himself, and then Trinity immediately shows up and tells him what he needs to know and then it's on to the next scene. Same with the restaurant scene between Cypher and Smith. That _entire_ scene is only a minute and a half long, but by the end we understand exactly what Cypher wants and why he's willing to betray his crew for it and what he's giving the Agents in exchange. They give you time to breathe, but they don't waste your time. Even moments that feel like filler serve another purpose. (e.g. The breakfast scene with the crew.) And there are a lot of quiet moments, because they resist the temptation to fill silences with unnecessary dialogue.
So, very unusually for me, I went to see this at the cinema with a bunch of freinds. On the way home, me driving, I came to Junction A (let's call it), which, in the dark, I _thought_ was Junction B. Then a mile later, we came to the _actual_ Junction B and without thinking I said: "whoa, déja vu." And then everybody in the car stopped talking abruptly and just stared at each other with chills going up their spines for a solid ten seconds...
In case you missed it, what the Oracle said was true. Neo wasn't the One when he visited the Oracle, she told him he was waiting for something, his next life perhaps. After he died in that hallway, and was revived by Trinity's magic kiss, he was able to access the power of the One. There is a lot of symbolism with hidden meanings in the Matrix movies, it took me years to figure out most and still not all of them.
Neo did not die and that was not True Love's Kiss. His body in the Matrix temporarily did, but his mind was already bending the Matrix. "The Body cannot live without the Mind", only applies to those who are tricked, by the Matrix, into giving up when it "kills" you. If you can rewrite it's code, you know that it's all fake, so why would he die? Trinity only "woke" him up. He finally realizes this and goes back in himself, after all he is still connected. Edit: Also, there is no "Power" of The One. The One is simply someone with the knowledge and the experience to Hack the neural connection between Humans and the Computer running the Matrix Simulation. His ability to rewrite code is a "Cheat Code" for the Matrix, making him look superhuman inside. It's all learned ability. You also have to remember that the only members of this group that can change reality in the Matrix (except the kids, but they are always better at new tech anyway) are the Hackers. Morpheus, Trinity, and Neo are famous or notorious Hackers. Mentally trained to change computer code. No wiki-wiki wu-wu required.
He already had the power, that much is evident in the fight simulation scene between Neo and Morpheus when he suddenly starts moving far faster - and later against the agent on the top of the skyscraper when he dodges several bullets, and later again when he delays the explosion of the helicopter to give Trinity time to get away. He's got the power, he just doesn't entirely believe it or is yet fully aware of it. By "dying" he realises in the most fundamental way that "there is no spoon" that even his body isn't real and he can do basically whatever he wants.
just like how George Lucas brought new sound and visual effects to the Cinema in order to create Star Wars. The Matrix set new standards in cinematography and camera work.
Agreed. One of the reasons (among many) the fourth movie is so awful is that it had *none* of the innovation and inspiration that this film had driving it. Action scenes and choreography in the fourth was god awful.
Glad you discovered this gem. I just rewatched it recently (in Belgium, a theater had the great idea of screening the original a week before the last one that came out last year), and gosh, it's as badass and well shot as I remembered it ! And quite frankly, it didn't aged that much. I actually find it much more visually compelling, and with its own visual identity than many movies that have been done in the past 24 years that came after it. It was the perfect action movie to cap the 90's (the movie came out in 99), encapsulating all the big hits of the decade, like Terminator 2, Ghost in the Shell, and kungfu movies ! It was basically a filmmaker's film, and the Wachowskis were definitely film buffs, especially inspired by Asian movies. It's one of these rare movies, like Star Wars, before it, that defined an entire era. When it came out, EVERYBODY was talking about it ! So you can imagine just how loud were the cheers in theaters when Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne got reunited in John Wick some 20+ years later. The only thing that's a bit sad with it is that the movie suffered the Terminator syndrom : The first one was so good that no other movies that came after in the saga were nearly as good (it actually got worse and worse as it went on). Quite frankly, the first Matrix was just perfectly enough on its own, with an open end that was just perfect as is. You don't need to watch the others.
Eh, the other 2 movies are awful. The Animatrix is far better than all three, and is part of the series. Somehow, most people don't even know it exists!
@@Christobanistandude, chill, that’s your point of view, good for you, but accept that others have a different one. I loved the first movie, and the 3 of them as a whole story is perfect. And as there are many lectures over this story, to each their fav 👍 and let others make their own opinion.
I still remember that night in -99. It was so different to anything we had seen to that point, the best cinema experience ever for me (slightly top the Lotro trilogy).
In the theater with surround sound was a totally awesome experience when it first came out. One of the few movies ever that has inspired philosophic discussion among almost everyone who sees it. If you knew your physical body was being used to generate power for an artificial intelligence to survive and your conscience existed only in a computer simulation, would you really want to know? To expound further if your government is lying to you about almost everything to manipulate your emotions so you will demand they make changes that they want to make would you want to know? The Tavistock Institute in England was started in WW1 to figure out how to treat the soldiers who became incapable of normal function due to the stress induced by continual fear of dying, they called it Shell Shock. The treatment found to be most effective was group therapy. It turns out that most human beings will conform to group think even when the group believes the sky is pink and not blue. Most people do not have enough confidence in their own knowledge and reasoning abilities to trust themselves over what the group believes. This principle is how the Nazi's were able to turn the German people against the European Jewish community to the point they were OK with them being systematically exterminated. All dictatorships have absolute control over all forms of communication with the public for this very reason. All they have to do is convince the majority that something is true when it is not to get the public to support the changes they wish to implement. That is why so many western governments are locking down the internet and labeling any information that goes against the narrative they want the public to believe as misinformation. The Tavistock split into the British Ministry of Health and the non profit Tavistock Institute after WW1 and continued their research. In the 1950's they created a division to advise paying customers on how to influence the masses. Their first paying customer on record was a British company called UNILEVER which is now one of the largest corporations in the world. The internet is a very easy place for governments to write computer programs to simulate human beings and push ideas to create the perception that a point of view they want the public to acquire is a majority opinion and create change.
21:14 One of the most badass scenes ever! Watched this a few years after it came out and actually fell asleep in the first 15 minutes because I was so lost as to what was happening. Watched it again a few years after that and it became my favorite movie.
I was 11, when i first watched the movie in 2000. It looks simply, like any of cgi movies of nowadays, but girls you cant imagine how revolutionary it looked those year. We hadnt watched nothing like that before. The movie is not just about visual, but it also has philosophical references.
17:06 Admittedly, Tank is a _supporting_ character, but I really like his contribution to this movie. I heard, though, that during contract negotiations for _Reloaded,_ he did one of the _dumbest_ things under the Sun. He threatened the lives of the _Wachowskis._ I cannot fathom what would compel him to do that, but that's why he's not in _Reloaded_ or _Revolutions,_ and that's unfortunate. His absence is conspicuous.
There's a lot of fun little touches to this movie that people overlook or don't understand until they've seen it multiple times. At the beginning, when Agent Smith tells the police lieutenant, "No Lieutenant, your men are already dead...", that wasn't because he knew Trinity and knew that she was a formidable person, it's because the Agents were unable to upload themselves into the two police units that the lieutenant sent up - because they were already dead.
Imagine the person working on the story for John Wick is watching this movie. He watches it and says to himself "I think I found the perfect actor for my movie."
I was really hoping that you two would react to these movies. They are a big part of my childhood and so much fun. Please continue with them you lovely ladies.
23:58 "The Oracle. She told me-" "She told you _exactly_ what you needed to hear. That's all. Neo, sooner or later, you're going to understand that there's a difference between _knowing_ the path and _walking_ the path." And that is an _especially_ profound concept of philosophy called "determinism."
After seeing it over 20 times, it became impossible to get the genuine emotions you’d get from your virgin watch. Watching someone else’s first, brought back the thing we’ve been searching for. It’s like time traveling back to a point in your life until just before it was blown open, and getting to experience it all over again for the first time.
Something most (well maybe not most, but some) people don't realise: when Neo drops the phone and it hangs there in the air a second before dropping.....NEO did that. Subconsciously at least. He made the phone hang there, but then since (as much as he knew) it needed to fall because of gravity, it fell.
It's genuinely awesome seeing a new generation experience this. It was so defining and shows how timeless the tale can really be.. though now I feel old as heck. Bravo!
I remember when the movie first came out, it was a sleeper that grew each week through word of mouth. I had a friend who supplemented his income by working part time at the theatres. He used his free passes and dragged me to see it in a nearly empty theatre. I was amazing. Then it grew into the only thing people talked about. It was not just how well they blended the early CGI with wire work, but that the method for using the wires and "bullet-time" were revolutionary. Much of how practical effects and green screen are done today in Marvel films owes its existence to effects pioneered for this movie.
The Matrix is basically a metaphor for the real world we currently live in, using the red pill for understanding how the real world works whether you like it or not (which most don't) and using the blue pill for living in your own personal reality where everything revolves around you (which most people prefer, and that's how you decipher the narcissists of the world such as people who can't live without social media). This movie, including movies such as The Terminator, was way ahead of its time and it's also timeless and that's what makes it so great. You can say what you want about Reloaded and Revolutions, but Resurrection is 100% skippable
Fun fact: the role of Trinity was first offered to Madonna, it was actually written for her inspired by her look in her "Human nature" video, but she declined cos she was busy filming another movie. But she ended up providing the record contracts to do the soundtrack under her record label Maverick Records.
If you get the chance, read The Allegory of the Cave by Plato. The Wachowskis took the ideas from that ancient philosophical piece and gave them a modern twist. In the allegory, Plato describes a group of people who have lived chained in a cave all their lives, facing a blank wall. The people watch shadows projected on the wall from objects passing in front of a fire behind them and give names to these shadows. The shadows are the prisoners' reality but are not accurate representations of the real world. Only when they break their chains, escape the cave, and see the world in the light of day, have they experienced the real world. Of course, then it becomes a matter of to what degree perception is reality. It's a fairly short read and going into the movie knowing the basis of the plot gives the movie even more impact.
I love seeing sincere reactions. The girl at the microphone finally shed a tear, and so did I))) Thank you for the emotions and greetings from Mother Russia!
You girls rock. Watching your face when Neo was been bugged by the agent was priceless. Let me suggest you another sci-fi classic with a good touch of humor: Back to the future (1985). I think you could enjoy it too if you liked this one.
Hello 👋🏻 I’m writing from Canada. Great movie aside, it’s always good to see you girls smile and laugh. It truly is! It can be said that a smile can indicate happiness and positivity, as well as being a sign of confidence and approachability. Qualities that unfortunately can’t be found in everybody nowadays. So keep on bringing the smiles and laughter, girls. I’m always looking forward to which reaction you’ll do next.
The Matrix isn’t a movie it’s a documentary. It’s insane how relevant this movie still is today. If you two want the backstory of the Matrix then you two need to watch the Animatrix, a series of animated stories about the Matrix especially the ones entitled “The Second Renaissance” (part 1 and 2) which tell the story of how the war started and how it ended
I'm not sure about a documentary. I think it just plays on basic human ideas that have existed for thousands of years. Who are we? why are we here? is this real? were we created? do we have free will? It seems more relevant because of the current surge in A.I and computing technology, but people have always been worried by new technology replacing people. And the idea that the world will end and we will be the cause have been around for along time. A lot of the movie ideas can be found in ancient myths and religious texts, there are also a lot of nods to religion, such as dying and being reborn. That there is man that is part god that will lead humankind to salvation, the mention of Zion. The story itself actually sticks very closely to the idea of the heroes journey by Joseph Campbell. I think that it's beauty, is that it highlights that idea that we all have in the back of our mind, but we never really discuss, that feeling of being meant for more and also the feeling of being caught up in a machine like world, that just chews people up and spits them out, assigns them a number works them to death and then discards them just for the next generation to fall into the same trap. It hits on a lot of different levels. But it was probably the first movie to really strike at these concepts and be so successful commercially. And also you know.... bullet time, and people getting kicked through walls, and black latex and funky music is fun as well. Don't really know why I wrote that, probably should be doing something more productive, anyhoo. bye.
The backstory is not relevant to real AI problems for one fundamental reason. Goal oriented programming. Without human goal oriented consciousness they will never act like us with our bloodthirsty ways. Our goal oriented consciousness is directed by several fundamental instincts:. The instincts to survive, to procreate, to feed and to sleep. These drive our basic experience of life - take those away and you have a goalless bio machine that will quickly starve or go insane from lack of sleep. Our society is far more likely to collapse because of what HUMANS do with advanced AI than anything it does by itself. Imagine a person like Elon Musk with a dozen gigafactories all churning out millions of robots that are fully capable of following orders like a physical equivalent of ChatGPT responses. Those robots could just be tasked to make more factories and with adequate raw materials Musk would soon have the military power on land to control the Earth. Thankfully Musk's Tesla bot is nothing more than a hollow, stock boosting PR stunt and everyone with half a brain knows this already.
7:19 That’s Laurence Fishburne, great Actor from multiple classic films like Boyz N The Hood, Deep Cover, What’s Love Got To Do With it as he plays Ike Turner, Tina Turner ex abusive husband, also on Higher Learning, and Black-Ish
11:50 Fun Fact; match the twins! to give a copy & paste feel to this scene nearly all the extras are twins or triples & when I found this out I went back to check frame by frame & you can make out nearly everyone has a copy.
The last room that Neo have to response the call it's the same that Trinity was at the beginning... 303. That is the reason for how Mr. Smith was in before Neo, Smith knew the room. 🤯
There is a companion film series of short animated films called the Animatrix. Which go into some of the backstory of the machines. Along with other short stories which take place within The Matrix. One story becomes Cannon when one of it's protagonists become a minor but important character in Revolutions. The Wachowskis were heavily influenced by cult anime films like Ghost In The Shell. Which you can see in part inspired throughout the Matrix series. Which to their credit were groundbreaking at the time as well. Having influenced directors like James Cameron who described "Ghost in the Shell" as "a stunning work of speculative fiction & the first to reach a level of literary excellence. Needless to say this also had an influence on Cameron's Avatar. Along with Stephen Spielberg Artificial intelligence. Matrix & Ghost In The Shell were once in a decade films. The first time, it was for the action sequences, the second time, it was because I finally understood what the movie was about, and every single time after being just amazed at the amazingly weird brains of the writer-directors. Now, I just mouth the dialogs along with the actors. Also, Keanu Reeves is one of those guys who somehow never seems to age. Not many know this. But the reason why Morpheus and Tank at 23:39 say that he is the one is not just because they feel like it. Neo actually bent the matrix for a few seconds there to absorbs the helicopter impact for a few seconds to give trinity time to escape the explosion. Morheus and Tank kinda realized there that his ability of bending the matrix at his will is a sign of him being the one.

Expect the fact it is so rewatchable for the reasons u said, its also a fun way to compare with the previous interpretations/reactions you had like comparing yourself with your older/previous selves. The other four movies are Fight Club, The Revolver by Guy Ritchie, Kubricks Space Odyssey, Ghost in the Shell (anime) Great reaction girls.
I saw it on a video tape in 2003 first time, it was mindblowing, at least I realized what was the fuzz about since I did not watch it at a cinema on release
This won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. Yes, they do look cool. But the effects in The Phantom Menace (also released that year) broke new ground in combining models and CGI, creating artificial terrain and landscapes, artificial crowds, and had not one, but two CGI characters in a supporting roles.
I remember in the early 2000s enjoying The Matrix. I also enjoyed the two sequels of Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolutions as they are better than what critics say about them. One action movie request which also stars Keanu Reeves is Speed 1994.

29:46 I chuckle a bit, whenever I see this part. Remember the _first_ time Neo met Agent Smith. Smith (and the other agents) intimidated him _so_ much, Neo did not see how he could _ever_ stand up to him. Now, they can no longer go toe to toe with _him._
True story they wanted Will Smith be the main character in the movie but he turned them down to make the awful movie Wild Wild West. Will Smith said that was his biggest career regret before the slap 😂.

@@mikefoster6018MatrixMania, you could not escape the hype no matter how much you tried
Thank fuck
And yet some people, still not understand the concept of the movie..
Did you kick yourself in the ass for not seeing it in the theater? Because you seriously missed out.
@@bnjmnwst not at the time, but yes that was a big fail 😆
I remember when this first came out in theaters. It was groundbreaking. It’s still iconic

I'm an old astronomy girl, and I can't get over how much he sounds like an evil Carl Sagan, or as we in the business would call it, "Carl Sagan."
@@wren7195That's actually a great catch. I didn't realize it until you said that!
Glad you ladies enjoyed this one. The special effects were ahead of their time; the essence of the story telling is mythic, timeless.
@@Christobanistan
While I agree that The Animatrix is great, I wouldn't go so far as to praise the human/machine war segments that well - they are probably the most mundanely written segments of the entire thing.
This is possibly the best movie ever made. It's basically perfect in every way.
Eh... It's amazing but it most certainly isn't perfect. But it doesn't have to be either.
@@Fyrecide The only movie I can think of that comes close is Ghostbusters. Both those movies are basically perfect.
"This is possibly the best movie ever made. It's basically perfect in every way."
You are correct and I completely agree with you. I think the first Matrix film and the first Jurassic Park film might be the only completely flawless films ever made, in my opinion.
@Rishi123456789 Jurassic Park, the first one, is also up there. A truly timeless and awesome movie.
@@MrKevin486 I completely agree with you.
Then a mile later, we came to the _actual_ Junction B and without thinking I said:
"whoa, déja vu."
And then everybody in the car stopped talking abruptly and just stared at each other with chills going up their spines for a solid ten seconds...
@@CorwinPatrick literally he died when his heart stop
@@direwolf5927 You don't die when the heart stops, otherwise Resuscitation would not work. It's a huge precursor, but not at that moment.
@@CorwinPatrickYour completely ignoring the fact that he was able to stop the machines in the real world too as they showed in part 2.
just like how George Lucas brought new sound and visual effects to the Cinema in order to create Star Wars. The Matrix set new standards in cinematography and camera work.
Agreed. One of the reasons (among many) the fourth movie is so awful is that it had *none* of the innovation and inspiration that this film had driving it. Action scenes and choreography in the fourth was god awful.
I love how Laura said Neo after he was killed by agent Smith and called him mister Anderson. It's so cute 😁
The thirsty look on Magy’s face whenever Keanu is on screen 🤣
❣️Epic movie!!❣️This movie changed action movies and cinema forever!!!
Everyone should have seen the Matrix trilogy at least once in their life.
Eh, the other 2 movies are awful. The Animatrix is far better than all three, and is part of the series. Somehow, most people don't even know it exists!

"He's perfect for that role"
Funny story, the Wachowskis originally cast Will Smith to play Neo, and he passed on it to do Wild Wild West.

Yes, it was completely different, with enough new elements and mind-blowing visual effects. It was truly fascinating.
19:41 the song is by The PropellerHeads... the whole album is amazing . Decks, Drums, and Rock'n'Roll is the album.
This is one of those movies that they should've just left it alone after the first one. The sequels kind of ruin the whole mythology for me.
She told me-"
"She told you _exactly_ what you needed to hear. That's all. Neo, sooner or later, you're going to understand that there's a difference between _knowing_ the path and _walking_ the path."
And that is an _especially_ profound concept of philosophy called "determinism."
You should absolutely watch Heat, it's an absolute classic of cinema with Al Pacino and Robert De Niro.
When I saw this movie back in the day, I was blown away. It was a cultural phenomenon.
The effects are revolutionary and changed the game for Hollywood.
24:25 And with that, Morpheus made history as the _first_ human being successfully rescued from Agents.
One of my all time favorite movies!!! 🙂
What will really bake your noodle is several scientists now believe we are really living in a simulation.
I'm so glad you ladies have had the experience of this movie. It's a classic. Still mind-bending today if you think about it as an allegory.

Where do you get this?? It's not in any of the movies or The Animatrix. Is it just something you're making up or speculating about?

This won the Oscar for Best Visual Effects. Yes, they do look cool. But the effects in The Phantom Menace (also released that year) broke new ground in combining models and CGI, creating artificial terrain and landscapes, artificial crowds, and had not one, but two CGI characters in a supporting roles.
Thank you for reacting to this, ladies. It’s always love over gold.
The next one, The Matrix Reloaded, has twice as much action as the first movie. Matrix Revolutions has about 5 times more action than the first movie.
