Today we adventured up the worlds largest rotating aerial tramway in search of a hidden lake. We took the Willow Creek Trail to the Round Valley Loop which lead us to a beautiful Hidden Lake.

Special note to anyone who wants to use their drone here, it's illegal. Had my drone confiscated and was fined. Also, there is a special permit required to go to this location. Only 30 people per day, Friday thru Monday. There is an endangered wildflower that grows only in this area and is federally protected. This guy forgot to read the sign that tells you to stay on trail because it's a preserve. Happy trails everyone.
Glad you found the lake after all the searching. I have never been to an in and out burger. Everyone who has been to one loves them thought. So when I see one I will have to try it.

You missed Desert View just past the lake. One of the most spectacular views from Mount San Jacinto. Elevation is about 8700 ft. Above the desert floor.
21/52 is impressive. I used to live in Palm Desert and spent and loved the area. I miss riding Highway 74.

Wow what an awesome hike. That Lake was beautiful! I used to live in Indio, not far from Palm Springs. If you ever come to Utah, you should check out Spirit Lake, There are some amazing tales about the lake, and if you go in the morning as the suns is rising you can see the spirit of an Indian princess who drowned there rising off the lake. It is amazing! Thanks for sharing

How did you get your drone there? I couldn't even get my drone up the mountain past security due to the federal park restrictions
Leave no Trace camping! The soapy water mixture to make the bubbles leaves the chemicals on the ground.
Also, drones in a state park are illegal.
