fx-9750GII: Table Scatter Plots and Regressions (Mini-Math Lesson w/Karen Greenhaus)

  • Using the Casio graphing calculator, the fx-9750GII, and two free math lessons (link available below), you will see some of the functionality of the calculator that allows you to do multiple representations when exploring linear relationships. Using the icon menu, we will look at evaluating given equations by creating a table of values. We will create lists using the spreadsheet menu, and then create a scatter plot and calculate a linear regression.

    The manuals for the fx-9750GIII don't explain that you often need to use the Shift Quit keys to take the calculator back to the top of the command structure of various sections. I had a hard time getting to the basic Jump Del Mat Math commands in the Run Math section. This explanation should be in the Basic section of the Quick Start Manual and the various manuals on the fx-9750GIII calculator.

      That is one way to get back to the initial screen in any Icon Menu. The other way is to press "Exit" multiple times until you get there. We always teach that "Exit" is like the back button on a web browser, taking you back one screen at a time.

    i thought American people mainly used TI calculators- oh well thank you anyways
