- In this video I take the Casio fx-9750GII graphing calculator and show you the basics of how to graph equations. Specifically I cover how to:
store equations
adjust the window size
view the graph
trace or evaluate points.
This should give you everything you need to start graphing equations of your own. If you would like to see more of my math videos, please visit www.mysecretmat...
Man you just saved my life i have an exam tomorrow and had no idea how to use this until i found your video, Thank you!
you can't use it, cheater.
bro!
I don't know where you're from but in school(nowadays ) you use calculators regularly, even at exams bec there are equations which cant be done without the calculator.
Subhan Ji same
same here
my teacher explained how to graph on the TI-84 because thats what everyone else had. When i asked for help he said "i actually dont know about this calculator...i mean you could try and figure it out but it would just be all over the place" and walked away. :D THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
Omg the same thing happened to me 😭
Sorry to hear about that experience. These are great calculators, and the price is usually way better the Ti
IF YOU GET ERROR; Use (X, θ, T) button to get the variable you want. Press that button instead of the f5 x.
I HAVE BEEN GOING INSANE TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT OMG TYSM, UNDERRTATED COMMENT!!!!!!!!
Such a lifesaver thank you 🙏🏽
Wow! Thank you so much. I felt so dumb
Thank you so much. You're doing the lords work.
WoW! I almost felt hurt when you summed up the video...No, teach me more! Very very good man. Appreciate it.
Dude I’m in advanced algebra 1, and my 8th grade feels so small compared to all these high schoolers doing sats 😂 btw this helped so much
same this unit is hell though
My calculator says syntax error when I try to graph it
when you are inputting your equations, it probably says "graph func : param" at the very top. what you want to do is hit f3 where it says "type" right above it and select "y=" this will allow you to graph normally. I had the same problem and I hope this helped. :)
mine says arguement error
Mine says argument error please help 😭
Use the x under the alpha button
This tutorial can apply to the fx 9860 GII as well, and the fx CG 10 & 20 series by the looks of it, as Casio have maintained a consistent screen menu and key function layout in all these calculators.
THANK YOU ! you are a demigod to me! Thought my calculator broke cuz it was always showing range error!
Excellent video, could not be more clear/precise. Thank you!
I could never figure out how to get more than one value under the square root on this calculator. It makes sense that you have to do put the values in parentheses so that the calculator knows what is under and what is not under the radical. I find that this trick also works when making rational/fractional expressions. (x=2),x rather than simply x+2,x . Thank you so much!! If anyone knows how I can get this calculator to give me a decimal rather than simplest radical form(ie get the decimal value of 2radical3) that would be much appreciated! I have tried using the fraction to decimal hot key but it does not change it. Thanks!!
Haha it helps when you have the same calculator! 😋
is there any way to get this thing to actually show the work? I thought it would when I purchased it, as a friend's comparable TI does, but after testing it , it doesn't seem to do this. without actually showing work, only an answer, it's pretty much useless.
Someone help me :( when I click F6 to see the graph it says error for me
make sure you have at least one function selected
press shift before pressing F6
I’m online, and I never used the graphing calculator because I had a simpler one online. I have to go back to school for the Staar test in 5 days and use the actual calculator, thank you, wish me luck
I know this video is old as hell but mine is saying arguement error
jinxie jinx SAME and idk what to do.
me toooo and i have an exam soon
@@rebelfriend3543 did you figure it out?
What are you trying to input?
i keep getting argument error help?
oh thank GOD, im in geometry 2 and this is my first time using a graphing calculator
I have a feeling you'll get me through CompSci! subscribed. 🤗
💖💙💛|||THANK YOU!|||💛💙💖
Mine says error whenever I graph something. It graphs it perfectly but then an error would block the screen
everything works perfectly except typing values to see them specifically ! i'm using Casio fx-9750G not 11
Started trig this year and I didn't know how to use the graphing features so thanks
Thank you! This was extremely helpful and wonderfully explained
I'm taking Pre-calculus in 2 weeks and needed graph making information.. this was extremely helpful 😊
How to find the vertex of the graph?
You could use the Trace button (F1) or press G-Solv and click on Root.
Thank you so much. I just got my Casio, and I was so confused on how to use it. xD
Thanks bro im going into 7th grade and I wanted to buy this instead of the texas i-84 for algebra 1
Glad I could help, its a great calculator. :^D
Great video !!! I watched a lot and with this one I understood everting
ngl better than my math teacher back at schl.. thanks
can you let me know how I put my fx-9750GII calculator in exam mode? I have my s1 exam tomorrow and I don't know how to enter exam mode, will the invigilators come and do it for me?
Thanks! That sure beat trying to interpret the manual!
1000% my calculator working Thank's Mr Professor I'm so happy.
this just saved me for my unit test tmrw !!! thank youuu
Have the sats tomorrow and didnt know how to use my calculator so thank you so much
YOU JUST SAVED MY LIFE DUDE THANK YOU
Show how to solve fractions please ??????
Hi!
My fractions come out as this little sign , like a small inverted L. I want my fractions to show like traditional fractions ( like a number / number ) .
Just cannot figure out how to change the setting to make it show the fractions like that.
Any ideas?
You can’t it depends on your calculator
how did you know that you're supposed to put 6 and -6 as the xmin/max & ymin/max?
Thank you, this was extremely helpful!
Whenever I press draw/f6 to view the graph it just says Syntax ERROR. -_-
GUYS USE THE X UNDER THE ORANGE ALPHA BUTTON!!! :DDDDDD
IT WORKS!!!!
THANKS MAN!
I got the CASIO fx-9750G PLUS and everything is so similar, except when using the "Trace function", because it doesn't write or can't enter the value you want or need to calculate, I mean after push "Shift F1 (Trace) over the graph", the "Enter value for x" doesn't appear!!! I think think my CASIO it's an old version?
Thank you.
Does it solve complex numbers/integrate/differentiate? might get the calc.
I'm on the fx-9750G PLUS and when I've traced a line, it won' let me enter any values at specific values by typing an X... Need help!
To find the y-value for a given x-value try the following on the PLUS version of this calculator...
When on the graphing screen, and you have a graph displayed press
[SHIFT][F5] (G-Solv) [F6] ( right arrow ) [F1] (Y-CAL)
Specify a graph if you have more than one on the screen
Use up or down arrows, then press [EXE]
Finally input in an x value. So for x = 5, simply type in a 5. Then press [EXE]
As you look around these options you should also see that you can have the calculator find the value of an x-value given a y-value. :^D
@@MySecretMathTutor thank you!!
When I am trying tog raph parabolic functions it says Argument ERROR, and doesn't work. The formula is f(x)=(x+2)^2+1
when your changing the view window, how do you know what number is best to put to get a better look on your graph?
thank you so much! my teacher went over functions today but he used a texas instrument graphing calculator, so i was left a little confused at times. do you know how i would be able to solve direct x and y intercepts using the calculator? like how do we find zeros? and i know we can enter a specific x value to find, but can we enter a specific y value? thanks!
To find zeroes, you'll need to put in your equation and press Draw. After you press draw use the Trace button and move the arrow keys around until the point is on the X-axis. You can also count the little ticks. Or probably the easiest way, you press G-Solv and press Y-ICPT, it doesn't have an option for the X-ICPT though (the zeroes). Hope this helps.
@@danielle9962 I have been adding a second equation in the y2 space that's just y=0 and then F5(G-solv) > F5(ISCT) will give you the X-Intercepts. I think it's silly that the calculator doesn't come with the option, but this has been giving me accurate results on tests and everything, so, it should be fine. (albeit a little convoluted)
@@danielle9962 Its kind of late but you can find the x intercepts by going to G-solv and then clicking the root option. That way it will show you all the x intercepts from left to right
x^(2/3) + y^(2/3) =a^(2/3) cant plot this. only comes half of the asteroid.. could you tell me the solve for it?
Omg thank you
Thank you so much never used a calculator before like this and precalc is kicking my butt.
I looked at my x and y min and max, some one put them to 94.33333 for a start
thi đại học có đc xài đâu
im laughing with happiness
Is there any way we can enter for a y value on the graph to find its corresponding x-value
Yeah, go to graph on calculator, then draw it out, then go to g-solv and move to the next options to find x-cal, click that and enter the y-value to find x. Make sure to check that your v-window has the x and y mins and maxes large enough for the value, and change them if need be.
How do you get the grid to show?
If i want to know a specific y-value instead how do i do then?
then you add the value you want to know as y2 (if you only have 1 function, if you have more it may be y3, y4, etc) then you press GSOLV and ISECT :)
should be able to press shift f5 for graph solve, then press f6 to continue onto the next row of available options, and then select the x-calc option - this will allow you to input a y value
@@hashtagrex, thank you, your explanation and guidance was very helpful.
Thanks! This was very helpful.
Anyone! Please help!
I was having some trouble doing a work-set from my calculus lesson, as I was unable to figure out which keys to use. How does one do numerical integration of positive-valued functions on a Casio graphing calculator version fx-9750GII? The teacher on my video used a Texas Instruments, where the entire layout was different. I attempted to use UA-cam, but no one has made a video of this calculator doing these problems.
A similar calculator version suggested going to Math, hitting OPTN, then CALC, and then either d/dx, or ∫dx. However, when I try to put in a problem, such as ∫(x+5),x,1,3) my calculator says "Syntax ERROR".
Do you have any advice? Or videos I could watch? Thank you so much.
thank you so much for making this video, it was one of the most helpful seven minutes of my year ^_^
hello
how calculator solve equation
ritesh kakkar by defined rules of mathematics as represented by alphanumeric Latin and Arabic characters.
@@broup9137 hello eat chicken
I keep getting argument errors and mine looks exactly the same as yours please help 😭
And now condition errors
What are you inputting?
Oh I figured it out, but thanks! I guess you have to input the X under the alpha button. I was doing the variable
I think we need a Love button here. I too was getting a syntax error notice, but erased everything and started from scratch and it all worked out. Thanks for your guidance!
Would you please tell me how to use the % key and the round key ? Thank you
I just wanna know how to cube a number
Hello. I’m looking for a calculator and I really don’t want to spend $90 bucks. I’m a freshman and I’m a nursing major. Will this do the job?
Yes
what if I wanna find the x-intercept and not the Y intercept? how do I trace Y=0?
This didnt help can u do one on the fx-9650 G III
what do i do when my execute button doesnt work?? need help!
Thanks v much Sir, Great 👍 job...... interesting, an informative.
how do you know what max and min to put?
You can just reset it to standard by going in and pressing F3 i think but the F key right under it
This was so helpful
I got a Ti-83 @ just got a casio 9759 just in case..
The calculations were confusing at 1st, but found it simple after practicing these UA-cam instructions
Thank you so much. I was about to return my Casio fx9750giii. You saved me
when I trace, it says argument error, what do I do?
I did this exactly and I have the same calculator but it's still giving me "argument ERROR".
:(
did you find out how to do it? Same problem here
Can this calculator graph inequalities
What if you want to find y coordinates ?
My calculator is on x instead of Y how do I fix it ??
is it also good for CASIO FX 9750G plus
????PLease
OMG U JUST SAVED ME FROM FAILING THANK YOU SO MUCH MY CALCULATOR WASN'T WORKING. LIKED AND SUBBED. GOAT
you sound so much like my actual math teacher-
i love Casio graphic calculators a Dsz Isz
Thanks so much! A video on finding key points (a, p, q, vertex, max and min etc) would also be very helpful
Good to know. I'll make a note as this particular calculator does a great job on graphing conic sections, which might be helpful for parabolas and their vertex. :^D
@@MySecretMathTutor Can u make it this week
I followed these instructions exactly, but I get a syntax error popup. What do I do?
So helpful bro, nice video
But how do you find the x-intercept?
Please solve fractions

i love calculators
When I set my to Graph function, under y1, I get a list of r2, r3, r4 etc. instead of y2, y3, y4. How can I fix this? Thanks
Is there a way to get the calculator to show the steps taken to solve the problem?
No unfortunately
can it do complex numbers and factorise polynomials?
I'd look at the data sheet on the website. That's your best bet
Thank you sm! I was never good at using calculators, now I’m in college lost af
OMG!!! Ur a total lifesaver! Thank you sooooo much for this!
7 years of math and only now I know.
How can I put the axes in the chart?
Thank you! This was extremely helpful.
im in a statistics class where i needed a graphing calculator, so I chose this one. I am watching this to learn how to use it. when I did the graph you demonstrated, it brought up the right shape I guess you could call it, however, that is all thats there. there is no like actual graph, like the x and y axis, tick marks, etc. please help. thanks!
Hi all the settings are same and the type-ins are also same but it says syntax error. What is wrong with my calculator?
Thanks for the video
How to graph by points?
