my teacher explained how to graph on the TI-84 because thats what everyone else had. When i asked for help he said "i actually dont know about this calculator...i mean you could try and figure it out but it would just be all over the place" and walked away. :D THANKS FOR THE VIDEO
I don't know where you're from but in school(nowadays ) you use calculators regularly, even at exams bec there are equations which cant be done without the calculator.
I’m online, and I never used the graphing calculator because I had a simpler one online. I have to go back to school for the Staar test in 5 days and use the actual calculator, thank you, wish me luck
Transferred schools this year as a junior and never needed a graphing calculator until this year. My mom was not spending more then $100 on this and luckily it was $55 and I also have a test tomorrow. Thank you
I think we need a Love button here. I too was getting a syntax error notice, but erased everything and started from scratch and it all worked out. Thanks for your guidance!
This tutorial can apply to the fx 9860 GII as well, and the fx CG 10 & 20 series by the looks of it, as Casio have maintained a consistent screen menu and key function layout in all these calculators.
This was so helpful I got a Ti-83 @ just got a casio 9759 just in case.. The calculations were confusing at 1st, but found it simple after practicing these UA-cam instructions
I could never figure out how to get more than one value under the square root on this calculator. It makes sense that you have to do put the values in parentheses so that the calculator knows what is under and what is not under the radical. I find that this trick also works when making rational/fractional expressions. (x=2),x rather than simply x+2,x . Thank you so much!! If anyone knows how I can get this calculator to give me a decimal rather than simplest radical form(ie get the decimal value of 2radical3) that would be much appreciated! I have tried using the fraction to decimal hot key but it does not change it. Thanks!!
Good to know. I'll make a note as this particular calculator does a great job on graphing conic sections, which might be helpful for parabolas and their vertex. :^D
when you are inputting your equations, it probably says "graph func : param" at the very top. what you want to do is hit f3 where it says "type" right above it and select "y=" this will allow you to graph normally. I had the same problem and I hope this helped. :)
is there any way to get this thing to actually show the work? I thought it would when I purchased it, as a friend's comparable TI does, but after testing it , it doesn't seem to do this. without actually showing work, only an answer, it's pretty much useless.
thank you so much! my teacher went over functions today but he used a texas instrument graphing calculator, so i was left a little confused at times. do you know how i would be able to solve direct x and y intercepts using the calculator? like how do we find zeros? and i know we can enter a specific x value to find, but can we enter a specific y value? thanks!
To find zeroes, you'll need to put in your equation and press Draw. After you press draw use the Trace button and move the arrow keys around until the point is on the X-axis. You can also count the little ticks. Or probably the easiest way, you press G-Solv and press Y-ICPT, it doesn't have an option for the X-ICPT though (the zeroes). Hope this helps.
@@danielle9962 I have been adding a second equation in the y2 space that's just y=0 and then F5(G-solv) > F5(ISCT) will give you the X-Intercepts. I think it's silly that the calculator doesn't come with the option, but this has been giving me accurate results on tests and everything, so, it should be fine. (albeit a little convoluted)
@@danielle9962 Its kind of late but you can find the x intercepts by going to G-solv and then clicking the root option. That way it will show you all the x intercepts from left to right

can you let me know how I put my fx-9750GII calculator in exam mode? I have my s1 exam tomorrow and I don't know how to enter exam mode, will the invigilators come and do it for me?
I got the CASIO fx-9750G PLUS and everything is so similar, except when using the "Trace function", because it doesn't write or can't enter the value you want or need to calculate, I mean after push "Shift F1 (Trace) over the graph", the "Enter value for x" doesn't appear!!! I think think my CASIO it's an old version? Thank you.
Hi! My fractions come out as this little sign , like a small inverted L. I want my fractions to show like traditional fractions ( like a number / number ) . Just cannot figure out how to change the setting to make it show the fractions like that. Any ideas?
Yeah, go to graph on calculator, then draw it out, then go to g-solv and move to the next options to find x-cal, click that and enter the y-value to find x. Make sure to check that your v-window has the x and y mins and maxes large enough for the value, and change them if need be.
To find the y-value for a given x-value try the following on the PLUS version of this calculator... When on the graphing screen, and you have a graph displayed press [SHIFT][F5] (G-Solv) [F6] ( right arrow ) [F1] (Y-CAL) Specify a graph if you have more than one on the screen Use up or down arrows, then press [EXE] Finally input in an x value. So for x = 5, simply type in a 5. Then press [EXE] As you look around these options you should also see that you can have the calculator find the value of an x-value given a y-value. :^D
Anyone! Please help! I was having some trouble doing a work-set from my calculus lesson, as I was unable to figure out which keys to use. How does one do numerical integration of positive-valued functions on a Casio graphing calculator version fx-9750GII? The teacher on my video used a Texas Instruments, where the entire layout was different. I attempted to use UA-cam, but no one has made a video of this calculator doing these problems. A similar calculator version suggested going to Math, hitting OPTN, then CALC, and then either d/dx, or ∫dx. However, when I try to put in a problem, such as ∫(x+5),x,1,3) my calculator says "Syntax ERROR". Do you have any advice? Or videos I could watch? Thank you so much.
I've got an old version Casio fx7400g plus. Everything works almost like in this video right up to the point where you just type in any number to "enter the X value". That for some reason does not work on mine. Any ideas how can I enter X value on fx7400g plus? Thanks
should be able to press shift f5 for graph solve, then press f6 to continue onto the next row of available options, and then select the x-calc option - this will allow you to input a y value

No unfortunately

How do you do absolute values on this calculator?
Is there any way we can enter for a y value on the graph to find its corresponding x-value
Yeah, go to graph on calculator, then draw it out, then go to g-solv and move to the next options to find x-cal, click that and enter the y-value to find x. Make sure to check that your v-window has the x and y mins and maxes large enough for the value, and change them if need be.
what if I wanna find the x-intercept and not the Y intercept? how do I trace Y=0?
I'm on the fx-9750G PLUS and when I've traced a line, it won' let me enter any values at specific values by typing an X... Need help!
To find the y-value for a given x-value try the following on the PLUS version of this calculator...
When on the graphing screen, and you have a graph displayed press
[SHIFT][F5] (G-Solv) [F6] ( right arrow ) [F1] (Y-CAL)
Specify a graph if you have more than one on the screen
Use up or down arrows, then press [EXE]
Finally input in an x value. So for x = 5, simply type in a 5. Then press [EXE]
As you look around these options you should also see that you can have the calculator find the value of an x-value given a y-value. :^D
