I had no idea taverns interacted with... scouting I guess? You need taverns to see stacks and the amounts! Still learning new things about this game after playing it for 25 years
Yeah, it took a while for me to figure out as well, I first played this game around the age of 10. Fast and stable Internet connections were not that widely available for cheap back then, and even if they were, I doubt there would have been any wikis to search for information like nowadays. One skill in particular that I didn't quite get was related to the travelling distance. There was, I think, Logistics, which increases movement points on the adventure map, but then there was something like... Pathfinding? Which increases movement points on "rough" terrain or something? I always opted not to choose that one because I thought it is related to the 'rough' terrain type, which I remember was one of the basic types like snow, grass, sand, etc. In retrospect, however, I've started to wonder whether it meant every terrain type that does not have a road on it... Yeah, I know, I could just google it.
Tiva: Hmmm, this appears to be pretty doable, this town is pretty strong already, no help needed! Now, if I could get even a few sticks.... ????: hundreds of logs come miraculosly from the surface to the underworld Tive: HELL YEAH BABY, let's do this! I told you that no help was needed! Mirlanda with the empty wood cart handles in her hands, next to the big hole in the ground: Have I done something wrong ???
Hi, i would suggest having power stack at the bottom 7th pos. It allows for 1 troops to move earlier for taking retaliation. Downside is turn of the power stack is also later than the opponent's, which on the other hand, can be turned into your advantage. Shooters should also go bottom (preferably 7 pos, and 6 pos for power stack). Mainly on the start of a game, it also applies with tactics. Cant think of advantages of having them at 1st and 2nd pos with 1 troops further down.
I played this map myself recently, and came to a very much similar solution as well. Would make more sense if the garrison forces were friendly towards the player as well, since we're protecting the town in the middle. Then the enemy could also be made stronger. Feels like this map has potential for a good defend/rescue map with minor adjustments.
Great video man, grew up with this game and really respect you putting out this content for the Homm3 community :D Also i was curious about how your units move so quickly in fights, is it a mod or how exectly does that work?
Solid episode as per usual. Didn't you consider playing one of the giant maps for hota? It would be nice to see you battling legions of crystal dragons and also a longer playthrough. Keep up the good work pal 😊
Saw the beginning of the clip untill you found the woodmine, than I figured I should try it for myself. Beat the map on impossible in 8 days as Ivor on Rampart as my underground hero. Only got 396 score though on impossible; since I have Hota version. I guess there is probarbly possible to find grail and get a lot better score that way, but I never really looked for any obelisks.
Hello sir! Could you please tell me how does your in game mouse movement and navigation look so smooth? I have 144 hz monitor, but everything looks so choppy when I move.
Conheço esse jogo desde criança mas só fui jogar agora e estou viciado demais. Uma pena que não tem nenhuma pessoa que grave esse jogo no BR então vejo seus vídeos msm sem entender muito kkkkkk
I wonder if it would have been worth throwing in dragon fly 1 stacks at certain points just for the weakness effect Edit - 20:17 I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Eagle Eye go off lol
Can you make a playthrough on "Vikings we shall go!" map? It's an incredibly well-made one with a tricky economy part and allowing you to expand into all the uber-dragons once you got your macro going.
What are your prefixes in the HD mod? It looks so damn good... Have any of you experienced problems with the campaign and HD mod? It seems to break the voicelines and cutscenes for me, and I don't know why.
I haven't properly tried the campaigns tbh, I sure hope they work ok. My HD mod settings are: Mode: 32-bit OpenGL by Verok Source size: 1280x720 Stretch filter: xBRZx2 + Lanczos
Ctrl+click splits them to onestacks, Shift+click splits them to halfstacks. I don't know if it works in vanilla, but I'm pretty sure it does in Shadow of Death
A member of the HotA art team posted on the Russian forum a month or two ago, said they're still working on it. I don't think they ever promised a release date, to be fair. They've likely been set back by the mod leader passing away and the war
Awesome stuff Noro! I'd love to see some gameplay of the others heroes games, h4, h5 and especially the 5.5 mod and even h6 and h7, not that much of gameplays for those. I know they are pretty bad in comparison with the others tho.
Fortress are OP just if I could play well with this town , and still won without wyverns the cheapest and most accessible 6th creature in the town , neat.

I've been playing for a very long time and I just realised that !
lol i have played this for about 23 years now and i didnt know that!
i think it's called the thieves' guild? but yeah it's crazy how there's still more to learn no matter how long you've played this game for

Same here. Still learning new features about this awesome game after decades of playing it.
Norovo, you're the real Hero of Might and Magic to me.
Cheers mate.

Tive: HELL YEAH BABY, let's do this! I told you that no help was needed!
Mirlanda with the empty wood cart handles in her hands, next to the big hole in the ground: Have I done something wrong ???
Map creator: 'this is a defensive map'
Norovo: 'well, the best defense is a good offense'
You get 2 towns, one is next to all your gold with extra dwellings, why wouldn't you just invest in that one?
I fall asleep to your videos regularly. Please keep it up I love them.
Always thrilled to see another video from you Norovo! Thanks!
Just about a couple of weeks ago I searched if you played this map because really wanted to see your playthrough. I'm delighted now!
Clean and straightforward strategy Noro. I'm surprised it worked that well considering the fact that this map is supposed to be played defensively 😂
I love watching these videos so chill, would love to guide videos and teir list videos
Noro! A new upload, and here is my afternoon!
Always a treat to get a new Noro video
Damn son, u do go super aggressive. And on the impossible setting, Great job
Love your vids
Keep going!
Mirlanda's picture will give me nightmares for sure 😥😥
Keep up the great work. Thank you for enjoying this game in this day and age
More homm3 yay!!!

Fun to watch, makes me want to play
The best defense is a good offense, I always say.

Good way to start a new month :)
I love these HOMM3 videos, watched everyone now. Anybody know other creators that are producing HOMM3 content like this.
Hello sir!
Could you please tell me how does your in game mouse movement and navigation look so smooth? I have 144 hz monitor, but everything looks so choppy when I move.
Hoo yeah I'm ready.
Conheço esse jogo desde criança mas só fui jogar agora e estou viciado demais. Uma pena que não tem nenhuma pessoa que grave esse jogo no BR então vejo seus vídeos msm sem entender muito kkkkkk
Great content.

Edit - 20:17 I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Eagle Eye go off lol
Was not it better to cast shield on gnolls at 16:05 instead of magic arrow? I think you would lose a few less.
Lets go!!
Can you make a playthrough on "Vikings we shall go!" map? It's an incredibly well-made one with a tricky economy part and allowing you to expand into all the uber-dragons once you got your macro going.
Could you please play the Beware of Demons map? I can't figure out how to beat it and I think it would make a really interesting video!
this map is so fun!
This map is also the definition of "the best defense is a good offense"
I wish you would do hero teir list for each faction 😭
4:26 painful to watch. eagle eye vs navigation. XD

How can you split your units in ones in Vanille homm 3? Thought it was only possible in the mods?
Ctrl+click splits them to onestacks, Shift+click splits them to halfstacks. I don't know if it works in vanilla, but I'm pretty sure it does in Shadow of Death
It's possible with the HD mod. This is only vanilla in the sense that I played on Shadow of Death instead of HotA
Wondering if you finished it faster if you picked a Barbarian as your starting hero :D.
Sooo the Factory town was supposed to come out early spring this year and it's 🦗🎶🤷♂️
A member of the HotA art team posted on the Russian forum a month or two ago, said they're still working on it. I don't think they ever promised a release date, to be fair. They've likely been set back by the mod leader passing away and the war
wait, let me bring the food
4:24
eagle eye, or navigation (on a land map)
WOO-HOO
More heroes 3 please
Awesome stuff Noro! I'd love to see some gameplay of the others heroes games, h4, h5 and especially the 5.5 mod and even h6 and h7, not that much of gameplays for those. I know they are pretty bad in comparison with the others tho.
I haven't played much of those tbh and I'm not a fan of the 3D style after H4, but I'm hoping to try them properly one day with an open mind
I don't understand when you went for a garrison why didn't you use dragonflies 1-stack as an easy weakness caster on the griffins
@Norovo
u need to try age of wonders 4 really good game
Fortress are OP just if I could play well with this town , and still won without wyverns the cheapest and most accessible 6th creature in the town , neat.
That was… alarmingly easy. Did the map creator really not test this map by going aggressive? Weird. _Amusing!_ But weird.
