Some more games worth a mention: Legends of Eisenwald, Fantasy General II, Warlock: Master of the Arcane + Warlock 2: The Exiled, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes + Sorcerer King: Rivals Thea 2: The Shattering, Fantasy Wars/Elven Legacy, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, Ascension to the Throne, Royal Bounty HD.
Fantasy General 2 blew me out of the water. I had really no expectations considering how removed it looked from the first game, but the game is an absolute gem. The DLC just makes it better and better with more campaigns and even a random campaign feature that actually work really well. I bought Conquest of Eo blind just because it was by the same devs.
@LTGamingUA-cam no, thank you. I know how much time and effort (research, scripting, record, edit, master, render, save, phblish) such videos take. And this is for a niche genre. Because of people like you, people like me can get their nostalgia hits and enjoy it. Also your content is of good quality: great narration, mastered sound, interesting topics. I really hope you will continue doing it and the channel will grow. Good luck, mate
I'd recommend everyone who enjoys Eador games to try Eador: Genesis with New Horizons mod. IMO Genesis has better gameplay compared to sequels (but worse older graphics), and New Horizons just pushes it even further by introducing tons of new units, spells, and items. It also improves balance a lot.
As much as I like HoMM, I'm replaying a King's bounty right now and having an action point system in combat is so much better than attack/move/nothing. Of course if you like the light city building, it's nowhere to be found here...
There are great honorable Mentions here in the comment section so far! Thanks fellow Gamers, Fantasy General II is on my List, haven't played it yet, but Fallen Enchantress I really can recommend. One that was not mentioned and has a Sci-Fi Setting just like Silence of the Siren is Age of Wonders: Planetfall. I really loved this one. And I just love Amazons riding on Laser firing Dinosaurs. Also the last DLC adds a galaxy conquest mode that is great to play around with. But also the campaigns from the other addons are great. Thanks for your Video and I just wanted to add that Endless Legends is one of my favourites on the list, besides AOW4. At the moment i try out Conquest of Eo and I like the stile of the game so far. Good gaming everyone and lets hope for the upcomming Heroes of Might and Magic to be good.
Man I love so much Age of Wonders. The first one I mean, which is amazing. The races, the backgrounds, creatures, geography, story, everything. Shows you that graphics don't matter. AoW 2 was good to but the story wasn't as good as the first, though the worldbuilding was still great. I started AoW 3 but didn't play it much so I don't know about it and holy hell never knew there was a 4 one.
Had hopes for Fort Triumph as in their early days they also had plans to add the monster armies next to the heroes, they completely scrapped it because they couldn't balance it how they wanted and only kept the heroes around with the X-com like combat.
Disciples games were good and i haven't seen them mentioned yet. Similar city build up but combat in 1&2 was simpler, while 3 was slightly better than heros combat
My top 3 from this list would be: 1. Dominions 6 differs quite a bit from HOMM, but is perhaps the best strategy game out there and nobody has heard of it. 2. Age of Wonders 4 was kinda meh on release, but has gotten amazing post-release support, and at this point is easily the best "HOMM-like" out there. 3. Hero's Hour is like a HOMM-parody, in the best sense possible. It's goofy, doesn't take itself too seriously, and has many bonkers mechanics and interactions to explore. It's not a "1000-hour game" like Dominions, but the hours you do spend with it are going to be an absolute blast. Honorable Mention: Battle for Wesnoth is free, very polished, has 20 years' worth of content, and by far the best AI on this list.
Age of Wonder 4 is nothing like HoMM though, as someone who's played Age of Wonders 3 and 4, plus HoMM3,4 and 5. The game most like HoMM, especially HoMM3, is Songs of Conquest. Plays almost exactly the same as HoMM3.
Songs of Conquest has good gameplay, but I wish they didn't go so hard on the pixelated look. It hurts my eyes and in the end it became a deal breaker for me. It could easily have had a different art style and otherwise felt the same.
1. "King's Bounty: The Legend" 2. "King's Bounty: Armored Princess" (with expansion pack King's Bounty: Crossworlds). "Warriors of the North" and "Dark Side" - in any order.
Good order : The legend is the best one to start but Armored princess/Crossworlds is the best overall. The other 2 are even more of the same (creatures, spells etc.) but unpolished/unbalanced
Someone can tell me if you detected woke activism in one of these games? As I read in a forum, I remember the time the only thing I should care about a game is if i like it, today, we need to check if it is contaminated with ideology, and very bad written.
Clickbait title. Out of all games in the video half are just bad and only three are Heroes-like. Special mention goes to Eador Imperium, which is worse than the original 2D Eador.
@LTGamingUA-cam You didn't have to get defensive, mate, just take this into account and be more honest with your viewers next time. I'm watching your vids on an off for some time now and while usually they're quite informative sometimes you just miss the mark and to it for the views. Walking away from such vids feeling you've been lied to is really unpleasant.
Thank you so much for the kind words!
The game is amazing! As LTG said, it's a literal loveletter to Homm 3, love it!
I have over 10,000 hours of AOW 3. The mods were awesomeness for replayability!
Age of Wonders and Songs of Conquest. Haven't seen anything better so far.
Conquest of Eo had a DLC recently that adds a random map generator so it got significantly improved.
It's problem is the pixel art, in the past that style was due technical limitations, today is just laziness.
Some more games worth a mention:
Legends of Eisenwald, Fantasy General II, Warlock: Master of the Arcane + Warlock 2: The Exiled, Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes + Sorcerer King: Rivals
Thea 2: The Shattering, Fantasy Wars/Elven Legacy, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars, Ascension to the Throne, Royal Bounty HD.
My man is a strategy connoisseur!
Love this list!

Great selection Dennis!
@@dane7584 Didn't know they also made Conquest of EO. Good tip!
Great list! ❤ Super pumped for Silence of the Siren, Songs of Silence and Songs of Conquest
Really good list
Well placed and sorted
Well done
Oh, and I absolutely love the choice of background music. You are a man of culture
Thank you sir!! Comments like this make my day! - Tom

Great list for a HOMM fan like me!
Never realized Eador: broken world had a sequel.
i have both, played both, i still play broken world

Good selection overall, a few of these I didn't know about, thanks 🙂
Good list, and I agree that Songs of Conquest belongs at the top.

Conquest of Elysium 5 .. my favorite
Village of Ix music from Nox in the beginning.
Song of conquest
Always enjoy exploring titles like these!, hope you all enjoy this one!
Hey LT. This genre is usually not my cup of tea but I'm going to try Fort Triumph on your recommendation. Gotta start somewhere...lol. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy it! - Tom

Oh man, you're in for a Trip. AoW4 is exquisite.
Brilliant list. I would suggest that you check out Thea 2 as well
I will check this one out! Cheers mate! - Tom
Some great suggestions in this list, thanks!
Glad you like them! - Tom
That sneaky BG2 soundtrack playing in the background.
Good ear mate!
Had hopes for Fort Triumph as in their early days they also had plans to add the monster armies next to the heroes, they completely scrapped it because they couldn't balance it how they wanted and only kept the heroes around with the X-com like combat.
where did the first two videos of the castle of humans and elves come from ? looks awesome !
One is AI and one is using unreal 5 engine, have a few more in our shorts of similar things - Tom
The first one for elves is clearly AI but it's pretty amazing.
Disciples games were good and i haven't seen them mentioned yet. Similar city build up but combat in 1&2 was simpler, while 3 was slightly better than heros combat

Wow, I clicked just because of the intro. Damn those are wierd and awessome.
The 3D animated views from the intro, where they came from? Mods, AI?
Endless Legend
oooo... missing SONGS OF SILENCE. it's a looker and it plays pretty well too.
Yeah I put it at number 2 as I feel they did such a great job on it and really looking forward to see how it progresses - Tom
Just reread this and realised my mistake haha, I will check this out! - Tom
Cool run out of this genre from the ever productive LTG… thnx 🐸 🤗🇩🇰☎️🐌🇬🇧🙏🏻
There is new game called Spear Song. Its like slavic Might and Magic. Its quite good.
Awesome suggestion mate, hadn't heard of it! - Tom
Silence of Siren is the best!
Songs of Conquest has good gameplay, but I wish they didn't go so hard on the pixelated look. It hurts my eyes and in the end it became a deal breaker for me. It could easily have had a different art style and otherwise felt the same.
It is not for everyone but I do love the game! - Tom
dragomess is pretty decent
Hello Thomas! Is there any chance to contact you for cooperation?
Our contact in the description mate
@ I hope our email will find you!
I would like start with the kings of bounty franchise, but there are so many titels and addons, so i dont know where to start.
1. "King's Bounty: The Legend" 2. "King's Bounty: Armored Princess" (with expansion pack King's Bounty: Crossworlds). "Warriors of the North" and "Dark Side" - in any order.
I approve this order haha - Tom
Good order : The legend is the best one to start but Armored princess/Crossworlds is the best overall. The other 2 are even more of the same (creatures, spells etc.) but unpolished/unbalanced
old disciples was one of the best games, better than heroes 3 in my opinion
similar game could be good Colossal Citadels
I will check it out! - Tom
@@LTGamingUA-cam THEY havent post anything , no idea will it even ever launch .
I have been playing Age of Wonders 4 since release, every new DLC is a hit, but the last one "Ways of War" is fenomenal
Nah it sucks ass
Due to time I am yet to jump into all the DLC, but now I am going to buy it this morning, thank for the suggestion :D - Tom
😎
👀👀👀👍👍

Trails of Cold steel wouldn't fit here?
I think more back to the Might and Magic series rather than HOMM. That inspires me to maybe make this list too now! - Tom
Clickbait title.

Special mention goes to Eador Imperium, which is worse than the original 2D Eador.
hahaha thanks for the laugh
