Her advice is totally wrong. Any regular visitor to Menorca who rents a car knows to rent from a local company because they all meet and greet at the airport. Those in the know never use the big companies, most of them also have their pick-ups off airport via shuttle like this couple and have a very aggressive style re hidden extras.
Absolutely right, the local companies are the ones that provide the service and work without deposit and excess. I have never had any problems with these companies!
You are taking I am wrong but at the same time you say we have to visit the island regularly to know you will be picked up from airport by shuttle with some random order and schedule. That’s what I said in the video, the problem is not mentioned in the website or somewhere else. I think nobody expect to spend 2-3 hours picking up the car. And like at the end of the video, we had hidden fees from small company. But you are right, some middle size companies also do shuttles compare to world known brands.
I can understand you. If your would like people to avoid situations like we had, please write about this great local companies, I believe it would be helpful for many other people.
@@A_Minute_A_Day Hello. What I'm saying is in the video you tell people not to use local companies because this happens but to only use big companies. It is the big companies that do this to you - take you off by shuttle and treat you badly. It looks like you booked with Record Go. This is not a local company, it's a big Spanish company. If you want to be happy with a hire car then book with a company that is based in Menorca. There are lots - and they all meet you outside of departures and their cars are in the car park on the other side of the road.

You are so wrong about small car hire companies, they are the only ones that operate from the airport, its the big national ones like the ones you used that take you to an industrial site away from the airport and when you get there you often end up joining a biger que. There are many small car hire companies that operate from the airport and give a great service, they will not rip you off like the bigger companies do. Please do more research before posting videos like this

Your comments sounds a little bit passive aggressive to me. You did your resolution without knowing how long and how much I did research. Believe me, it took enough time to me. There are some problem with car rental on the island according to Google. If you saw my video , I was upset by the fact that I was supposed to be driving somewhere from the airport without knowing it in advance. If you know really great local company, write it and let others know
@KlausWagener. As I said to you in another comment, please share info with people if you know some great rental companies. Because it looks like big and small companies have hidden fees on renting cars
@@A_Minute_A_Day RecordGo is a Spanish company, but not a local Menorca company. Local companies include Menorcago, Balmes, Menorca on Wheels and others. With these companies you do not pay a deposit or excess, and they also deliver to the airport at no extra cost.
