Same. I got hit by a car 2 yrs ago and my severe traumatic brain injury made my anxiety become unbearable and incapacitating very often. Once I started taking clonazepam daily I can finally be functional in my life. Plus I just finally got my leg prosthetic.
You’ll be saying that when you die from complications … this shit isn’t natural and they don’t care about your health …. Look into natural options or regret it later idc about sugar coating something this serious.

I just started to take Klonopin for my severe anxiety and panic attacks. No other medications have helped me before and only seemed to make me worse. I’m on a 1.5mg dose right now and I’m starting to see a little bit of improvement. I have a good feeling about this one🤞
OMG. I was on Klonopin for 28 years through my psychiatrist at the VA. It turned my life into a living hell. It eventually caused the symptoms it was supposed to treat. My advice to anyone thinking of starting it would be try to find another way. Do the hard work instead of taking a pill. I ended up asking to be weaned because it was no longer working for me and I almost jumped off of a bridge. Seriously. I call it the devil's drug or the drug from hell. Find another way, I'm begging you and anyone else.
bullcrap....I have tapered off klon once and my anxiety was insane...am now back on it and have a life. I am 66 and will take it till I die. IT GIVES ME A FREAKING LIFE.
Does it help with physical symptoms of anxiety, such as pound heart or burning skin? I was prescribed some but I’m afraid to take it
@@terevamcgee1861 yes it does, the physical symptoms went away pretty quickly. Especially pounding heart. Not sure about burning skin as I've never had that before.
@@terevamcgee1861yes, it helps with every mental and physical symptom. Fixes heart rate, no more shaking hands, sweating, dissociation. Mentally feel so much clearer and it’s completely prevented any panic attacks. It’s the best most well rounded benzo to treat anxiety and lasts the longest. There’s nothing to be afraid of, 30 minutes to an hour after you take it, all of that fear of taking it will evaporate. My advice is don’t be scared at all of taking it, just be very wary of becoming dependant. I assume you’re prescribed it as a long term medical treatment, seeing as it’s rarely prescribed short term so there’s nothing really to worry about. But on the off chance it is short term, be careful not to let yourself become physically dependant. The withdrawals are literal hell on earth
I have been taking Klonopin for 14 years. I had panic attacks after my wife died suddenly while I was at work. I started taking 2mg a day and haven't had another panic attack since then.
Have you noticed any side effects or is it been pretty smooth for you?
@@christopherwg4236 No side effects. Very smooth and because I am 79 now, my doctor says just to stay on this regimen until I go to Heaven. It would take too long to wean off of that much dosage. So, no problem. I feel better, no panic attacks, and I wish you well if you are thinking about taking Klonopin, or are already taking it.
Throughout the day or single dose?
@@btruth9162 I take the 2mg when I go to bed. It lasts 24 hours in my system, so that's the good news about taking this med. It takes a long time for that to get completely out of my system. I once came up a couple of days short because I miscounted my 90 day supply somehow, but even after 2 days, I still had enough in my system that I hardly noticed any difference. So, it's up to you as to how you want to take your doses. I found it works best when I take the entire dose at night before bed. You will be just fine either way.
Any side effects?
Klonpin doesn't "mess me up" and I don't drink, so that's not an issue, but Klonopins DEFINITELY take my anxiety and "uptightness" that my friends and family say I always have and minimize it. It just makes things go smoother for me because I'm not constantly worrying about stuff that doesn't matter. I take small doses and only when the anxiety kicks in. It particularily happens at work. I work in a Vapor/Smoke shop and sometime during the middle of the day i typically get VERY bad anxiety. Like, this job isn't hard. I'm used to difficult jobs that usually demand my full attention the whole day, which takes my mind off things that don't need to be minded, making my day overall more productive and my colleagues, family, and friends all agree that I'm much less "wound up" constantly because of it.
I also deal with excessive worrying and Klonopin helps with the uptightness for sure. Since it also has muscle relaxant properties it helps with the tension in my body my anxiety causes✨

Clonazepam saved my life ,I suffered GAD-PTSD, and massive insomnia. I take 1 mg at night before sleep every day.
4mg too much for me.. I've taken up 8mg a day just do not want that addiction back. I am now taking 2mg a day and have been for years. Doing fine

Do not take klonipin unless its necessary. Coming off it is pure hell. I came off of it because i lost my script,and had 2 seizures.
you need to get drops and with it you can slowly lower it and it will be fine

I have seizures and take three medications to control them. Klonopin, keppra and lemectil. I had sooo many horrible seizures before my Drs. found the right medication, right dose and right time to take my medicine. It took along time to get to having life without soooo many seizures. I wouldn't want to back to that place of no hope and seizures too??? It's part of a regime that has been a GOD send.
I also take Lamictal with Klonopin and they're also used in mental health. So it's about edge sword helps me for seizure prevention as well as my bipolar & agoraphobia with panic disorder. ❤
One thing to make note of those withdrawal symptoms are not fun. They are an absolute effing nightmare. 🙏
If people only knew. I saw it with my sister and she only took it 4 weeks . It ruined her life she recently passed away but what she went through my god just heartbreaking

This video sounded like a PSA against clonazepam lol! It’s a life saving medication for people with severe anxiety! It can be taken long term as well, that’s an outdated misconception. I’ve been on 1mg, three times a day, for about 13 years now. For crippling social anxiety/agoraphobia. You have to find your sweet spot and stuck to it with this medication and it does wonders. The best benzodiazepine for overall anxiety imo.

No benzodiazepine should be taken long term according to the manufacturers and the FDA. Just cross your fingers you won’t start experiencing interdose withdrawals.
@@futureofmoney3527 I’ve been on it for 15 years man. I’ve had to go through withdrawals when I didn’t have health insurance. It’s miserable but ultimately a part of taking the medication. You become dependent on it. So it’s take the pill to function and have a life of don’t and hide away and have no life. I’ll take the medication every single time. And that’s BS it can’t be taken long term. I’ve been on it 15 years lol.

for me clonopin is like the middle ground inbetween xanax and valium, it's like it hits that sweet spot, relieves muslce tension that i get from all the anxiety and allows me to fall asleep at night and I am only taking 0,25 mg 2-3 hours before bedtime, I am aware of it's potential of misuse (abuse) due to euphoric effects so I discipline myself in taking only 1 dose at the end of the day
I've been on it for years the smallest dose it keeps me calm, I have no drowsiness or other side effects

Gabapentin 600mg is a good transition from 1mg klonopin when u want to stop.
Yup I did the same when I was recovering from alcohol cause my liver was still taking time to heal
-YES, it's a wonder drug for sure, HOWEVER, the results of a study out of Taiwan says that benzos increases the chance of getting various forms of cancer and that Klonopin increases that chance the most of all benzos, look it up. It (could) mean that those with anxiety have more of a chance of getting cancer with or without benzos, but food for thought nonetheless.

How does Klonopin itself cause cancer? I would think the chronic stress and anxiousness of not having something like Klonopin would have worse results internally than taking the substance itself.

I’m using Klonopin for sleep. The positives were night and day. I used to take Melatonin, but I’d be tired, not sleepy when I woke up and I’ll be drowsy throughout the day. First week on, I noticed less tiredness and more energy, like a refreshed drive. With that being said, I’m a little worried now.

I cant get any docotrs to prescribe me anything that works. I had surgery 2 months ago. I had been so stressed and anxiety high as ever. W.e they gave me before my surgery to relax me made me feel tje best ive felt in literally 10 years. I dman near cried amd tpld my parents i loved them and i felt so much better. Now im geting anxiety again on thw higjest level and my doctoe just keeps giving me ssri and that stuff isnt working. What can i do to tlak to a docotr to make then understand what has worked for me? I really dont eant to go to the streets but these docotra are leaving me no choice
You might tell them look my life is seriously very stressful right now but it's temporary can you put me on 0.05 mg temporarily to deal with this stress. Say you've been on it before and it's the only pill that works.

No..... One is short lasting and one is long lasting don't mix. Respiratory distress could happen at higher doses. Kpins have a super loonnnggg half life like 6 six days.

This medication I use too take, it made me pee in my bed. I had bad side effects too....
That med sucks, I heard it can cause bad dreams, Clonazapam is a controlled substance and has high risk for withdrawal symtoms, addiction and suicidal thoughts.
Its only meant for emergencies and short term only, its best to use it for temporary use and then gradually get off of it till its completely out of your blood stream.

Benzo that is used for short term use, alprazolam, Lorazepam and diazepam are the go to’s for short term and emergency use. Clonazepam gives so many people an opportunity to live a normal life and is really a wonder drug. Of course the withdrawals are horrific and life threatening, hence the drug mostly being used only for long term or lifetime treatment. Addiction is part of the treatment, both doctor and patient are always aware of this when being prescribed. Which in turn is why lifetime treatment is the most common way it is prescribed. Lifetime prescription obviously eliminates any risk of withdrawal, which is where all of the negative aspects of the drug are from. People need this stuff, it’s a wonder drug
I’m sorry but I have to warn others about klonipin. My sister took it for 4 weeks which kicked off 12 years of pure hell it was like she had brain damage she passed away in Nov please be fully aware before you take anything my poor sisters life was ruined

Sir , I am 20 and i suffer from severe Shivering and andrenaline rush whenever i really need myself , it's really hard to explain but i experience this in every important situation , Like i am a professional player and i do play really well but i always choke at the right time or in pressure and this happens in every situation of even a slight pressure , My life has become really hard cause of this problem and I can't do anything even if i am good at it. If that's your worst side effect I would not complain.
If you take it every night and then stop, yes. Sweating is not a symptom of clonazepam, actually the complete opposite. It should generally decrease sweating due to its anxiolytic effect. But it doesn’t directly affect sweating in any way

Today i todo a clonozepan pill cuz just herbal medicine is done and I haven’t gotten the change to restan, it’s been a couple of months since I stoped drinking it (my mom was also prescribed it as well as me but I mostly didn’t used it much) but if boy it’s been a while and it’s hitting me right now, I feel drownsy, a little bit off balance and I can’t focus compleatly, i mean i can get up and go around just need to be careful to not stumble and it’s so funny cu I feel drunk XD (I usually get drunker type effect with both sleep deprivation or strong cold medicines) so I did got a little freaked out when I stared to feel like this, it’s probably been like almost an hour?

Klonopin has very severe withdrawal affects. I would not recommend it. Only in emergency situations and no more than 2mg a day
30MG is wayyyy too high of a dose dear. No more than 3MG per day stretched out over a period of 24 hours.

Helps me but it is addictive and effects people differently. You should ask a psychiatrist on the topic. Have you tried talking to your dad about your anxiety? It sounds like he’s in a position where he should relate to you. Maybe he can help you set up a meeting. Good luck, relief is out there but you should do it the right way if you don’t want to end up managing anxiety AND an addiction to the wrong medication
I am terrified right now I've been on Klonopin for 35 years I was on Valium from the age of 22 started taking Klonopin at the age of 30 I have 65 years old now and my doctor wants to take me off of them I take 4 mg a day a suffer from derealization and I'm afraid to withdrawals will kill me I've tried to stop taking them three times and each time I got worse never better and had to go back on them when I was off of them I was planning my own death does anyone have a similar disorder if so what helped 🙏🙏
Why do you think if you stop it will kill you ? And how did this medication work for you in the beginning
You are going to have to taper down VERY slowly, over months probably. That is a good dose that your body has been used to for decades. Take it extremely slow and ask about Gabapentin. That may help you with the side effects as you taper off

Ive never seen anyone with desoxyn script or pill but i talk about it alot Because i know what it is, ive taken pressed addys b4 (they were pressed with methamphetamine) , ive taken both adderall and a unknown dose of meth(oral) , i can tell u that oral meth felt alot cleaner(less tweaking, less twitching,euphoric,motivated) ,lasted a good 10 hours, i prefer it over adderall

I used to drink 48 16 OZ a night, pop 2 benzos snort one, hit the crack pipe and smoke a joint. Heavy sedative…. I’m glad to say that’s in the past.

I don't think it targets that specifically, more so just knows off anxiety, over thinking.. Sort of sedates you… I go to sleep right after taking it so I can have a restful night. But ask your doctor!
