I never was a Bob Knight fan. But I’ll say this for him his personality often obscured just how intelligent he was.

He was brilliant. Jackass Integrity, Bully, Compassionate, Firey, Sensible, Humorous, Hard working..
And the greatest basketball mind that ever existed. ❤

That's really interesting asking people who don't know the young man what they think of him refs, opposing coaches etc. Very revealing excellent interview on both parts. When you see Bobby Knight like this you think cool dude. RIP

Coach Knight was worth about 5 or 6 points per game to his teams from 1965 to 2008.

What strikes me about Coach Knight is the simplicity of his thinking: “players are student athletes, therefore they should graduate or If you don’t attend class you don’t play, etc.. He wasn’t an idealist, he was a fundamentalist. Steve Jobs was a fundamentalist…he would not compromise his expectations.

This set looks like a teenagers bedroom from a sears catalog. Random jerseys and a shitty poster on the wall, $1 trophy made from recycled beer cans, a random bowling pin stolen from a bowling alley, particle board furniture, and random photo of a guy with a small child that’s not his.

What he did with no talent is what makes him the greatest coach ever , unlike the bought championships UCLA has
