I grew up in Indiana, and I can assure you, Letterman and Bobby are TABERNACLE there...Thought he was a miserable old man when I was a kid, but now that I'm a miserable old man I appreciate the Coach. Sad loss :( (This is the edit: unless the camera is tricking me, or someone is standing on a platform, Bobby looks HUGE next to Dave. Far as I know Dave himself is a pretty tall guy but damn, Bobby seems to be nearly a head taller...anyone else?)

I went to basketball workshop to hear Bobby speak in 1974. When he saw that there were women in the audience he told an extremely off color joke. One woman left. He told increasingly offensive jokes without any mention of basketball until all the women had left the room. He commented that since the audience was now ready, he could start his talk. The Washington Post covered his talk and never mentioned his disgusting behavior. He was a bully who got away with awful behavior because he won a lot of games. Men who played for him who were willing to tell the truth said they played with terror.
