I was playing this song in my headphones a few days ago and I was walking minding my business when an older man asked if I was listening to bush mind you I’m only 20 and he told me I had a great taste in music and that I should play it out loud for the next block we were walking down together, you would think it would be awkward but we sang this song together and I will forever love that recent but special memory

I show my kids the music I listened to like this when I was their age hoping they would connect to it the way I did, it played a huge part of my life, especially through my turbulent teen years. It was my therapy ❤
One of the other songs in 1998/9 just before my eye was busted while I was trying to escape the Philippines before it was too late but it was too late. But for me it was “Swallowed, hollowed (out)” (not “Swallowed, followed”) “Just want to be myself…Got to get away from here…”
I don't know what on earth I'm doing, or what is going on rather. But this song kinda makes me feel seen and understood. Such a weird thing to say but its hard to describe :) Thank you BUSH
i like the music. I am a fan of grunge music. It is like swallowing a well-cooked hot dog and a well-cooked tasty cheeseburger and drinking a nice cold Budweiser beer. The music is much better than jazz, hip-hop, reggae, and musica urbana.
Lembranças boas. Trabalhava na Só Portas. Loja do meu tio. Ele fazia almoço arroz com sardinha e assistia a MTV com essa música. Na sexta ia pra balada com meu primo. Saudades 😢.
I saw you play Woodstock '99. Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase are synonymous with High School for me. This song, among others takes me right back. One time on a school trip, I borrowed a friend's discman and ran the batteries down listening to Glycerine over and over. Thank you.
This song has had such an impact on my life. So far I can't tell if it's been good or bad, but this song is such a work of art. And this band- one of the best to ever exist. they came along at the right time with a sound of their own, like Green day.
Bush kept the sound alive when everyone thought grunge was Pearl Jam or Alice In Chains. It derived from it's former punk roots.

Lyrics:
Warm sun, feed me up
And I'm leery, loaded up
Loathing, for a change
And I slip some, boil away
Swallowed, followed
Heavy 'bout everything but my love
Swallowed, sorrowed
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet
Just wanted to be myself
Hey you said you would, love to try some
Hey you said you would love to die some
In the middle of a world on a fishhook
You're the wave
You're the wave
You're the wave
Swallowed, borrowed
Heavy 'bout everything but my love
Swallowed, hollowed
Sharp about everyone but yourself
Swallowed, oh no
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet
Piss on, self-esteem
Forward, busted knee
Sick head, blackened lungs
And I'm simple, selfish son
Swallowed, followed
Heavy 'bout everything but my love
Swallowed, oh no
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not

One of the most important bands of my life that I will finally see live next month! Can't wait for it! Thank you Bush for coming to Brazil!
I remember getting their CD one year for Christmas when I was around 11 or 12. That's all I listened to all day.
The good old days! I'm glad that i grew up in the 90's!
One of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks for the memories.
I grew up on this kind of music mind you I’m half black so to see a man of his age give a real compliment instead of a backhanded one was nice🥲❤️
And in strange X-Files fashion it turns out the older man was in fact you from the future😀
@@MorbidCrow666 if I was a man
@@Venus-zw7pe Well that would definitely make it a strange x-Files fashion 😀
@@MorbidCrow666 parallel universe/Time travel….yeah that would be pretty trippy
[Verse 1]
Warm sun feed me up
I'm leery loaded up
Loathing for a change
And I slip some, boil away
[Chorus 1]
Swallowed, followed
Heavy about everything but my love
Swallowed, sorrowed
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet
[Verse 2]
Just wanna be myself
Hey you said you would love to try some
Hey you said you would love to die some
In the middle of a world on a fish hook
You're the wave, you're the wave, you're the wave
[Chorus 2]
Swallowed, borrowed
Heavy about everything but my love
Swallowed, hollowed
Sharp about everyone but yourself
Swallowed, oh no
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet
[Verse 3]
Piss on self-esteem
Forward busted knee
Sick head, blackened lungs
And I'm a simple selfish son
[Chorus 3]
Swallowed, followed
Heavy about everything but my love
Swallowed, oh no
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not
I'm with everyone and yet not
[Outro 1]
Got to get away from here
Got to get away from here
Got to get away from here
Got to get away from here
[Outro 2]
I miss the one that I love a lot
I miss the one that I love a lot
I miss the one that I love a lot
I show my kids the music I listened to like this when I was their age hoping they would connect to it the way I did, it played a huge part of my life, especially through my turbulent teen years. It was my therapy ❤
did they connect to it?
One of the other songs in 1998/9 just before my eye was busted while I was trying to escape the Philippines before it was too late but it was too late. But for me it was “Swallowed, hollowed (out)” (not “Swallowed, followed”)
“Just want to be myself…Got to get away from here…”
I don't know what on earth I'm doing, or what is going on rather. But this song kinda makes me feel seen and understood. Such a weird thing to say but its hard to describe :) Thank you BUSH
Bush was such a killer band . They put out alot great music in those days
Oh the 90's! Too many memories!
Oh man! Its a pleasure bump into this glorious gem.
I met my wife at.......my own personal Bush concert.....Bush on the jukebox and Sarah behind the Bar!. Gotta LOVE the CRANKER in Adelaide.
I seen these guys live in August of 2018. They sounded as good as ever.
I am going to see them tomorrow 😍
I sang Glycerine to my wife on our wedding day in 2019. Saw Bush live for the first time a month later.
Bring back the 90s rock era! Pleeeease
miss my childhood, i used to listen this music
Hell yeah, Bush Rocks!!!
Swallowed might be my favorite Bush song. That guitar solo in the middle sends me into a virtual state of euphoria...f'ing awesome.
Hands down favorite bush song. Saw them live two years ago amazing!!!!!
This song saved my life many times (: ❤
Divina ❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
i like the music. I am a fan of grunge music. It is like swallowing a well-cooked hot dog and a well-cooked tasty cheeseburger and drinking a nice cold Budweiser beer. The music is much better than jazz, hip-hop, reggae, and musica urbana.
Yeahh me encanta
♒🐟🐟🐟🐟🌬💃🌊🤘👅🤘🎨🤲🌈
Love this song..
Oh my misspent youth. I'm aging like a perfect whore who only got enough to get by. Boo fucking hoo. I think his diction is perfect.
Lembranças boas. Trabalhava na Só Portas. Loja do meu tio. Ele fazia almoço arroz com sardinha e assistia a MTV com essa música. Na sexta ia pra balada com meu primo. Saudades 😢.
Never gets old. I love this.
They have such a raw sound and so much power. The lyrics have so much hidden meaning and honestly I just can't get enough of them.
I'll always love this song... Grew up on this music, have an older sister and she had their albums...
Bring back the 90's what a party
Chris Tindale Even the 80s realized the 90s were cool! 😆
I know it was nuts! I was there!
This was such a beast/gem when it came out. That whole scene.
This song and video brings back so many memories, this is timeless. 💖
If I was a dude who liked dudes.... I would like this dude.
That bass at the end still give me chills to this day.
the greatest song of bush
Excuse me?
Glycerine all day son
def this one or ALIEN
THERE'S NO SEX IN YOUR VIOLENCE
Comedown, Glycerine, and Swallowed. Hard to pick just one.
Little things? Greedy Fly?
90's has best era of rock song
I don't care about music critics. This song is amazing. The entire Razor Blade Suitcase album with mixing in words. What a album. I loved bush with this album.
