Nights for me feel like years.. Lucky for me my friend youtube puts together playlists for me. Before i know it. The sun will come out again.. 90's was a era with no cell phones at concerts. Jus people coming together rocking out together.. If they ever invent a time machine you newer generations need to see for yourself how rocking it was ✌
Can’t believe I got to see this live at Woodstock ‘99, it was a magical and crazy experience. Almost died in the crowd and also met a really cute girl there that I fell in love with.
"The first time I felt this magical pull towards music was with this band called Bush, and they had this song called 'Swallowed,'" he said. "It was about a lot of things that I wasn't allowed to do - drugs and stuff that was on the other side of the tracks for me and where I grew up. I was listening to a lot of fakey, happy, life will get better, cheer up music and this just ripped the cover off that and really forced me to deal with my own life and what I wanted my life to look like. I remember early on feeling that pull towards music through that song." Isaac - The Fray
I would definitely say this is the opposite of timeless. The song is good and ages well but you gotta admit this is one of the most 90s videos there are.
When I was in high school and this came out, I remember ragging on Bush hard. At the time, they seemed like phonies compared to the stalwarts of the Seattle sound. Like they were a prettier, safer version of Nirvana/Soundgarden/Pearl Jam, etc. I hated that I liked this song and video. In 2021, I give up. Even though it's a highly stylized version of the 90s, It's a good song and it takes me back to a time I miss and would give a lot to go back to. Fix mistakes. Live and love bigger and better. That's a beautiful, sad feeling. Thanks, Bush.
90's The period with the best balance between individual freedom and social sharing. Creativity from below, sensitivity and passion ... the taste of being young waiting to grow and dreaming of changing the world. Trust in others, music, festivals without bodyguards, occupied social centers, squats. Living in the streets with the right amount of internet.....i miss you

I don't care about music critics. This song is amazing. The entire Razor Blade Suitcase album with mixing in words. What a album. I loved bush with this album.
Saw these guys at a KRock a few years back, was there to see STP because I never got to see them live when they were big, STP was a terrible performance, next up was BUSH, and that was one of THE BEST SHOWS I've ever seen. At one point Gavin was crowd surfing singing with the biggest smile.
I remember like it was yesterday that I sang this song in my english class in high school back in 96 (I live in Mexico and the subject was to sing our favorite english song)
I saw you play Woodstock '99. Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase are synonymous with High School for me. This song, among others takes me right back. One time on a school trip, I borrowed a friend's discman and ran the batteries down listening to Glycerine over and over. Thank you.
This feels nostalgic and I’m 20 .. been listening to the album at least once a week since last year when I first heard it ..the video fits the song so perfect
I just saw Bush recently and they rock harder than they ever did. If you get a chance, see Bush live. Flowers on a Grave just rocks like not many on todays music scene.
I show my kids the music I listened to like this when I was their age hoping they would connect to it the way I did, it played a huge part of my life, especially through my turbulent teen years. It was my therapy ❤
One of the other songs in 1998/9 just before my eye was busted while I was trying to escape the Philippines before it was too late but it was too late. But for me it was “Swallowed, hollowed (out)” (not “Swallowed, followed”) “Just want to be myself…Got to get away from here…”
Seeing Bush in concert in the 90s was one of my favorite memories of that great time. I could listen to Sixteen Stone and Razor Blade Suitcase and instantly get transported back... Bush is an amazing band and I could never understand why they got so much hate. Tho the original band members are not in the group I'm so glad Gavin kept pushing.. I love his voice and the new music been enjoying throughout the years...i can't say how much I love Bush enough!
Swear they were hands down my fav band growing up. Remember being grounded and only having my walkman w me, listened to their albums over and over, takes me right back there everyime i hear them.
Oh how I wish I was born to experience this when it was new. I hate being a 2000 born baby. I missed the truly greatest era of music. I was too young to even know who Layne Staley was when he passed. I didn’t discover any of this until I was at least 10. I’m still cut up about Chris Cornell.
I don't know what on earth I'm doing, or what is going on rather. But this song kinda makes me feel seen and understood. Such a weird thing to say but its hard to describe :) Thank you BUSH
This lead singer is so damn good. Perfect grunge singing. It's good and in tune but still grungy. That is the way to do it. Bush is an underappreciated band. Always were kind of in Nirvanas shadow but they were great in their own right.
I wasn't really into Bush as far as "grunge". I liked AIC and Soundgarden. But now I'm a lot older. These guys are really good! Lol! Especially this one.
This song has had such an impact on my life. So far I can't tell if it's been good or bad, but this song is such a work of art. And this band- one of the best to ever exist. They have such a raw sound and so much power. The lyrics have so much hidden meaning and honestly I just can't get enough of them.
Warm sun feed me up I'm leery loaded up Loathing for a change And I slip some Boil away (Chorus) Swallowed, followed Heavy about everything But my love Swallowed, sorrowed I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet Just wanna be myself Hey you said you would love to try some Hey you said you would love to die some In the middle of a world on a fish hook You're the wave You're the wave You're the wave (Chorus) Swallowed, borrowed Heavy about everything But my love Swallowed, hollowed Sharp about everyone But yourself Swallowed, oh no I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet Piss on self-esteem Forward busted knee Sick head Blackened lungs And I'm a simple selfish son (Chorus) Swallowed, followed Heavy about everything but my love Swallowed, oh no I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet not I'm with everyone and yet not Got to get away from here Got to get away from here Got to get away from here Got to get away from here I miss the one that I love a lot I miss the one that I love a lot I miss the one that I love a lot

Lucky for me my friend youtube puts together playlists for me.
Before i know it. The sun will come out again..
90's was a era with no cell phones at concerts.
Jus people coming together rocking out together..
If they ever invent a time machine you newer generations need to see for yourself how rocking it was ✌
Gen X Forever
My 'Razorblade Suitcase,' cassette still exists. The best purchase ever! Gavin love. x
Can’t believe I got to see this live at Woodstock ‘99, it was a magical and crazy experience. Almost died in the crowd and also met a really cute girl there that I fell in love with.
You still talk to her?
@@playboi_vinny We broke up in 2016. We became different people and I haven't talked to her in a long time.
Just watched the netflix doku, shit was crazy.
I was at Woodstock 99 too … drove there from Montana. Crazy times
You guys are fucking legends for going. Respect
I remember early on feeling that pull towards music through that song."
Isaac - The Fray
This song and video brings back so many memories, this is timeless. 💖
Me too
luv 2read remembering about my high school
I would definitely say this is the opposite of timeless. The song is good and ages well but you gotta admit this is one of the most 90s videos there are.
for those of us aged,,,,, timeless goes back to 60's & 70's, ,,
I agree great group I remember in90s was26
will forever be one if my favorite songs of all time
When I was in high school and this came out, I remember ragging on Bush hard.
Came here to say this exact same thing pretty much.
I remember falling in love with Bush in the 90s...here I am in 2021!! 💚

Playing my grunge music in 2024...There's no substitute!!! Rock on Gavin!!! Looking forward to making time to see these guys...Music is Timeless!!! 🔥
We were so cool in the 90s 🎉🎉
Really cool!
We lived.....
Wow, jam to this as a 37 year old doc when I’m leaving a hectic day. “Gotta get a way from here” lol. ❤️
90's The period with the best balance between individual freedom and social sharing. Creativity from below, sensitivity and passion ... the taste of being young waiting to grow and dreaming of changing the world. Trust in others, music, festivals without bodyguards, occupied social centers, squats. Living in the streets with the right amount of internet.....i miss you
I agree miss the 90s I was 27then Im52now still love
Saw them in concert this year. Still swooning. He's so friendly. I could not love him any more than I do now.
Is there any 20 something year old who misses the 90's as much as I do??Damn that decade!!!

Class of 2001 I miss Bush.. great band... Thank God that there touring again
Warm sun, feed me up..
I'm leery, loaded up.
Loathing, for a change..
And I slip some,
boil away..
Swallowed! Followed!
Heavy 'bout everything
but my love..
Swallowed! Sorrowed!
I'm with everyone and yet not.
I'm with everyone and yet..
Just wanna be myself..
Hey you said that you would love to try
some.
Hey you said that you would love to die
some.
In the middle of a world on a fishhook..
You're the wave!
You're the wave!
You're the wave!
Swallowed! Borrowed!
Heavy 'bout everything
but my love..
Swallowed! Hollowed!
Sharp about everyone
but yourself.
Swallowed! Oh no!
I'm with everyone and yet not,
I'm with everyone and yet..
Piss on self-esteem,
forward, busted knee.
Sick head,
blackened lungs..
I'm a simple, selfish son.
Swallowed! Followed!
Heavy about everything
but my love.
Swallowed! Oh no!
I'm with everyone and yet not.
I'm with everyone and yet not.
I'm with everyone and yet not.
Got to get away from here.
Got to get away from here.
Got to get away from here.
Got to get away from here.
I miss the one that i love a lot.
I miss the one that i love a lot.
I miss the one that i love a lot.

I don't care about music critics. This song is amazing. The entire Razor Blade Suitcase album with mixing in words. What a album. I loved bush with this album.

I met my wife at.......my own personal Bush concert.....Bush on the jukebox and Sarah behind the Bar!. Gotta LOVE the CRANKER in Adelaide.
It's crazy how a particular song from back then will bring up certain memories every time you hear it! Miss those care free days at 18.
It absolutely is, @johnpayne2304!

So good!!!! Brings me back to the good days when social media ... wasn't.
You're f...kin right Sarah
Hi I recommend a song called 'Looking Into The Mirror' By Robert Nix
I haven't heard this song since I was 14/15 years old. The 90s were such a great time for alternative music fans.
Idem
Saw these guys at a KRock a few years back, was there to see STP because I never got to see them live when they were big, STP was a terrible performance, next up was BUSH, and that was one of THE BEST SHOWS I've ever seen. At one point Gavin was crowd surfing singing with the biggest smile.
I was only 5 at most in the 90s. But my mom made sure to introduce me to these songs and I still adore them. Much better than what comes out today
38 and still love the music and times of my childhood teenage years RAD AF
🔥🖤👍🤘Cool song 👍
One of the most underrated bands ever.
I remember like it was yesterday that I sang this song in my english class in high school back in 96 (I live in Mexico and the subject was to sing our favorite english song)
Así es Jonie, tremenda canción.
I seen these guys live in August of 2018. They sounded as good as ever.
I am going to see them tomorrow 😍
I sang Glycerine to my wife on our wedding day in 2019. Saw Bush live for the first time a month later.
I saw you play Woodstock '99. Sixteen Stone and Razorblade Suitcase are synonymous with High School for me. This song, among others takes me right back. One time on a school trip, I borrowed a friend's discman and ran the batteries down listening to Glycerine over and over. Thank you.
You know you’re still cool when you’re jamming out to Bush as a 37 year old dad while cruising down the road.
Or a 62 yr old grandpa
Even cooler when one of your kids asks who is this? Then downloads it.
True, true..
39 and half
Ha, me too. Did you just watch the woodstock doc?
Bush was such a killer band . They put out alot great music in those days
We’re a New Grunge band bringing back the big 90’s sound, check us out!
Bring back the 90s rock era! Pleeeease
Os clipes antigos com estes são fantásticos, cheio de interpretação, detalhes e mensagens abstratas, isso se acabou tudo é tão superficial agora.
One of my favorite songs of all time. Thanks for the memories.
Swallowed might be my favorite Bush song. That guitar solo in the middle sends me into a virtual state of euphoria...f'ing awesome.
One of the most important bands of my life that I will finally see live next month! Can't wait for it! Thank you Bush for coming to Brazil!
I show my kids the music I listened to like this when I was their age hoping they would connect to it the way I did, it played a huge part of my life, especially through my turbulent teen years. It was my therapy ❤
did they connect to it?
One of the other songs in 1998/9 just before my eye was busted while I was trying to escape the Philippines before it was too late but it was too late. But for me it was “Swallowed, hollowed (out)” (not “Swallowed, followed”)
“Just want to be myself…Got to get away from here…”
Seeing Bush in concert in the 90s was one of my favorite memories of that great time.
That's what she said... 😂
I remember getting their CD one year for Christmas when I was around 11 or 12. That's all I listened to all day.
the greatest song of bush
Excuse me?
Glycerine all day son
def this one or ALIEN
THERE'S NO SEX IN YOUR VIOLENCE
Comedown, Glycerine, and Swallowed. Hard to pick just one.
Little things? Greedy Fly?
Hell yeah, Bush Rocks!!!
Swear they were hands down my fav band growing up. Remember being grounded and only having my walkman w me, listened to their albums over and over, takes me right back there everyime i hear them.
And I got the cd for a penny!! Guessing everyone remembers those ads, think paid 27 cents for my entire cd collection lol.
Swallowed and Glycerin = best song by Bush for me 😍.
Hana Ptáková and Cold Contagious...
For me its Alien and in a lonely place.
Chemicals...
I like Alien too
The chemicals between us. 😉😉😉
This time in history is unparalleled

This was such a beast/gem when it came out. That whole scene.
Gavin was so incredible gorgeous.
I agree great singer Iremember in 90s
Honestly, he still is. The man has aged very well
Still is!!
He cheated on his long time wife with the nanny lol.
So did the nanny
This song has had such an impact on my life. So far I can't tell if it's been good or bad, but this song is such a work of art. And this band- one of the best to ever exist. They have such a raw sound and so much power. The lyrics have so much hidden meaning and honestly I just can't get enough of them.
90's has best era of rock song

Bush was the epitome of 90s nonsensical lyrics.

"Gotta get away from here, gotta get away from here, miss the one I love alot!" Always loved these guys. Lyrics and music are so great!
This song DEFINED my depression in 1998 middle school. It instantly brings me back to those tear soaked, depressive, suicidal and lonely moments.
The nostalgia hits like a ton of bricks. Instant classic.
