The loomis method uses idealized proportions. I will agree that the sketchiness shows the construction underneath. Kind of like an organized mess, which can be appealing. But the method itself is meant to make a perfect face, even if the reference you are using isn’t perfect (because no one is)
@@KrakenEyeGaming for it to even be a "perfect" face you would have to do the method perfectly, which is basically never happening, especially if you're drawing from a reference
It’s because of the method being used. The face will resemble the actual person but the proportions are prefect in terms of cimeteical distance if that makes sense. It’s more aesthetic
Bro i was analyzing your tought process in this video and its so Clever that you Focus on the nose bottom, marks the height between mouth and nose, how you draw the mouth and the eye socket, it was way better to think like this when i was exercising figure drawing
Awesome, thats agreat way for a beginner like me to try, i love all the straight lines makes things so much easier for me, although ill still struggle to get this level of accuracy
This is what i want thank you never was interested in drawing and wasn’t good but now in my 20s from nowhere i love drawings and this video is good and easy to learn from
Question: 1. How to decide where to put the small circle around the ear? 2. How to decide the line for the neck? 2 especially is something I keep struggling with.
I found it best to look at where the jawline to the ear meet and do a medium sized curved live from the middle part of the ear. I have no idea how to explain it better than that I'm sorry if it doesn't help I tried my best haha 😭😂 I just finished the drawing tonight and am honestly happy with how mine turned out.
Came here cause I was struggling immensely with the jaw/cheeks and I saw you just indent into it instead of doing some weird stuff I've seen in other tutorials and it's just made my life a whole lot easier lol
С Якутами помню в архитектурном учился🎉удивляло у них генетически все эти навыки есть они сразу в объёме могли нарисовать а нам же приходилось всё базу рисунка изучать😅
Can you make a video on how to not make too many line while building up like this cause its usully happens to me when i start drawing something it ends up with real mess but its still usable cause i can get the likeness of photo and anyone can know that this drawing is completely ressemble that perticular photo bht it make my process harder and i cant control it 😅
I mean when I sketch i put too many sketch lines before drawing a good lineart and the person in short is using so much less lines for sketch in order to make good lineart
How do you know what size and where to draw the inner circles within the big circle, this is all I ask, but never get an answer or method showing this ?

Wow I think I might have been doing an incomplete loomis method this whole time. I usually tried circle lines for the head and across then used a tad more guidelines for the face but it looks like I forgot the ear circle part which might be why I was struggling with drawing certain angles.
This didn't really show me how (explain) more so it's a demo of you doing it. I still like the video and will use it as reference but I like me some commentary
Love seeing the image come alive, fantastic
Thank you 😊
@@hassaneartwhat's the name of the model in the picture ??

Bow wow 😂
Eyes: easy
Mind: easy
Hand: No..just no..
why does it look better than the actual reference its so polished and aesthetic ♥♥
Right! Somehow all the extra lines makes the face look so much more attractive.

@@KrakenEyeGaming you can use this method and exaggerate the actual reference
Bruh, the way that sketch is polished is amazing. Love it❤

This was much easier to follow than that 30 minute video I just watched.
The style you're using is for perfect faces, usually ppl don't have a perfect face
But it does look pretty good and very similar
i always draw the same way, its so relaxing...

I just eye everything, don't need lines....looks like a road map😂
The actual loomis method tells you how. This really isn't the loomis method.
Came here cause I was struggling immensely with the jaw/cheeks and I saw you just indent into it instead of doing some weird stuff I've seen in other tutorials and it's just made my life a whole lot easier lol

Interesting grip. Im not an artist so I've never seen that before. Is it for drawing at different wideness?
I use this grip to draw better lines and curves. It’s much easier for me, especially when then canvas is almost vertical.
Love this you make it look easy.
Fun fact it's not
Bruh drawing is better than the image
