Moog. Thanks for the kick up the ass with that awesome video. On 20th October last year I lost my boyfriend to a blood clot, I found him but there was nothing I could do. I've spent all year basically doing nothing and have put on weight, but thanks to you I've ordered some new bit for my mountain bike and I'm going to get back on it for the first time in 10+ years.
I seriously need to shed the weight but I'm just going to take it easy at the start.

Guys. My brother in law runs a yard in the UK. Just shared it with him a few minutes ago, sharing this video.

Hey marty and moog, you can look into the 6speed shifter cable in australia. You just need to look for the audi a1 tsi 3cyclinder models from around 2015 as i was trying at the time to look into getting a 1.0 tsi engine into a vw up locally after driving mishas (now sold) sub7up in Germany.
That was a awesome little car, it still pops up in the back ground in the Apex carpark

@@aussieausdeutschland4245 You may be correct, as it was sold to someone they know, and as far as I'm aware, that person takes it to the track, especially when it's raining. Still one of the best cars I've personally known on the day I met Shmee, and he brought in his Maclaren Senna and the Ford GT, a day I'll never forget.
@glebobaggins I used to live near Frankfurt. Unfortunately, I never got the time to go over to the track for a lap.

Work at a vw dealer in Victoria so any chance you can get the VIN from the wrecker who sent you the vehicle I can sleuth through the parts catalogue for original part numbers!

The person who owns a Discovery has either: a good mechanic, a lot of money to burn, or a lot of tools. Or, a broken down car if they don’t have one of the other three.

Turns out their fuel economy was worse because they didn’t act illegally with Cheat Devices.
And all the issues with JLR are well known and easily fixed.
Most of the issues were caused by parts bought in from other manufacturers not meeting the required standard.
And production problems at the Ford engine plant in Dagenham.
Though the new Ingenium Diesel engines do have issues.
But no worse than the camchain issues with 2.1 Merc diesels, 2.0 BMW diesels and even the new 2.0 Merc diesel has issues with bottom end failure
It must annoy some people that one of the most reliable engines fitted to a modern Merc is the 1.6 Renault diesel fitted to the C Class etc till 2018, when they went back to a 1.6 made by Mercedes, which also seem prone to bottom end failure like the 2.0.
As long as you don’t have a 2.7 diesel or 3.0 diesel that has a faulty crank, they weren’t heat treated properly and you change the oil it’s a pretty solid engine.
Like most other complicated and expensive vehicles a lot of the issues are related to owner neglect though
@@bigjmlthey do have extremely high 'running' costs. Parts are expensive for what they are comparatively to other vehicles, and not super reliable. So yeah its actually based on facts.
All cars that cost the same new have parts that cost the same.
Of course you have never owned a high end vehicle so you rely on Internet Rumour.
Enjoy your 10 year old 1 Series when it’s engine goes pop due to camchain failure, petrol or diesel.

I'm very sick. I have owned more than 30 Land-Rovers. I still have one - a Discovery 2. I have a beard too.
My first Land Rover was a 1954 Series I which took me to amazing places to go caving and camping with Scouts. The first one was used by a fisherman and the chassis had some "weight reduction" and a very tired engine. It took me to amazing places and even with a totally clapped motor never stopped going.
These days, I drive the Disco as our second car and an Outback does the daily work. I loved driving Subaru Leone station wagons when I worked for the NSW Mines Dept and we also had Land Rovers as well. Back in the day, our geologists drove them all over NSW with their feet up on the metal dash (the aluminium floor was red hot) and the speedo well over 70 mph which was way above the recommended top speed. (In those days, the speed limit in many areas, the speed limit was Derestricted.)
Keep up the excellent work. Buy a really old Land Rover. They really are the greatest off road.

I just came back home to Sweden after two weeks working in Melbourne. I had a 2023 Toyota Landcruiser Rental and it was amazing. (It's Not a Hilux, but almost) ITook it on the Great Ocean Road all the way to twelve apostles. My first time i AU and I loved it!

The pizza thing:
At least here in Germany here’s how it goes - you place the order and the guy at the restaurant gets a notification which he has to accept. Once he does your app shows that the order is being made and the thing prints out a piece of paper(what you ordered) that goes to the kitchen. Once your order is ready they click on the tablet thing to show you that it’s on the way and there’s that.
The only feature from a Discovery the Amarok needs is the hydropneumatic suspension. Imagine a ute which can lay itself on the frame rails to make loading the tray easier, or squat the rear to tip out a load of mulch.

as far as delivery goes, dominos is the best we have in omaha. i always get the "everything" and i dip the crust in some butter garlic sauce afterwards. good stuff

Domino worker Connor here, to my knowledge the time from order to out of oven is a set time and can be incorrect depending on how busy we are but when the driver is on the road we get tracked with an app now. The cigarette lighter trackers have been phased out. Also the DOM (camera above pizza) might also be phased out, atleast ours has as it was too incorrect in determining wether the pizza was good enough and would call for remake a bunch.

It's the opposite in the U.S. If you own a newer Land rover it's probably a mall crawler but a lot of Jeep owners actually use them. When you go out to the desert or trails its like 80% Jeeps.
Depends on where you live. In my neck of the woods in FL, I've seen a grown man lose his cool to the point of throwing his flat-billed hat down and stomping on it, because he got the slightest scratch on his Jeep that was fitting with all the aftermarket off-road parts you could order, and had "off road life" stickers all over it.
I've seen like two land rovers and both were caked in dirt and had obviously lived their life anywhere but pavement. The vast majority of new model Jeep owners are posers. Only a select few actually off-road their vehicles. Older model Jeep owners I don't really include with the new model Jeep people.

He raced Altezzas and was close with the man who gave us MR2 Supra and LFA.
They got the whole GR thing going under him, GT86 was able to become a thing, and started remaking classic bits for the 40yo 4AGE nuggets.
A real car enthusiast and a racer gets me more interested in what Toyota is doing now, as opposed to some old dude in a suit. (Still sticking by the 40yo 4AGE nuggets tho lol)
